Charles Allen Townsend was born Nov. 20, 1948 to Willie H. Townsend and Dollie V. (Gosnell) Townsend at Konawa.
He departed this life July 9, 1999 at his home in Purcell at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 19 days.
Charles was raised at Konawa, graduating from Varnum High School in 1967. He also attended Tulsa Junior College.
Charles and Barbara Calger were united in marriage at Seminole in 1968.
He was self-employed owner and operator of trucks and is a member of the Independent Truckers Association. He also previously worked at home construction and Oklahoma Department of Correction.
Charles has lived in the Purcell area for approximately 25 years. He liked camping, fishing and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie H. (Bill) Townsend.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home and his mother, Dollie Smith and her husband, Easley Smith, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Shelly Forbes, Norman, and Kelly Michels, Purcell; two brothers, Billie Townsend and wife Virginia of Cresapetown, Md., and Mike Townsend and wife Sharon, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Patricia Beall and husband Mike, Hugo; five grandchildren, Jade, Dillon, Sidney, Charlie and Stormee and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and friend to more his passing.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, at Wadley Funeral Chapel in Purcell.
Rev. Connie Schlarb is scheduled to officiate the services. Interment will follow at Vista Cemetery at Konawa, under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service of Purcell.
Casket bearers include Dean Lack, Jimmy Cannon, Eric Hendrix, Brent Fatkin, Brian Sturmon and Jack Cannon.

Charles Trace
Funeral services for Charles William Trace, 62, brother of Seminole resident Clifford Trace, were held today at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee.
Rev. J. C. Farrand officiated at the service. Burial followed at Rest-haven Memorial Park.
Trace died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999 at a Shawnee hospital.
He was born Nov. 7, 1926 in Pittsburg, Pa., to Charles Upton Trace and Florence Irene (West) Trace.
A veteran, Trace served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He was a supervisor at Tinker Air Force Base.
Trace married Charlotte Patricia Camara on June 30, 1952. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Survivors include sons Christopher Trace, Del City, Charles Trace, Fort Collins, Colo., Clifford Trace, Seminole and Craig Trace, Shawnee, daughters, Carolyn Trace and Cheryl Trace, both of Shawnee; one sister, Katherine Trace, Pennsylvania, and two grandsons.
Jacqueline Treadaway
Graveside funeral services for former Seminole County resident Jacqueline Maxine Treadaway, 73, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Little Cemetery.
Frank Hester will officiate at the service. Burial arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, Shawnee.
Treadaway died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 at her home in Midwest City.
She was born Nov. 14, 1925 in Van Buren, Ark. to Dennis and Verdia Lacey.
Raised in the Seminole area, Treadaway attended school in Bowlegs.
She was employed as a Commissary Clerk at Tinker Air Force Base until her retirement, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was married to Haskell Treadaway; he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sons, William D. Treadaway, Oklahoma City, and James Haskell, Loudon, Tenn.; two sisters, Clara Jane Hendrick, Oklahoma City, and Betty J. Williamson, Pauls Valley; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Elzene Trimble
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Elzene Miller Trimble, 87, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Dan Anderson will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Trimble died Monday, July 5, 1999 at Christ Hospital, Cincinnatti, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 7, 1912 to Flora and Jake Miller in Ben Franklin, Texas.
Trimble grew up in Oklahoma City and Wewoka, where she attended high school.
In her younger years, she was employed by a Wewoka florist.
She traveled extensively around the world, and had lived in Houston, Texas, Washington, D.C., then Covington, Ken.
While living in Washington D.C., Trimble met many dignitaries, such as Pat Nixon, the Kennedys, Ladybird Johnson, President Richard Nixon, Billy Graham and danced with President Lyndon Johnson.
A homemaker, Trimble was active in many clubs and organizations, including Fort Mitchell Country Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Cincinnati Hills Garden Club.
She married Vance Trimble on Jan. 9, 1932. He survives her of the home.
The couple, who owned close to 5,000 volumes of books, donated funds to the Wewoka Public Library to build a new wing, and donated all their books to the Trimble Room of the library.
She had one daughter, Carol Ann, and two stepsisters, Edwina and Rena.
Mary Lou Troglin
Graveside services for lifelong Seminole County resident Mary Lou (Flowers) Reich Troglin, 52, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wolf Cemetery.
Rev. Lee Wayne Fowler and Rev. John Chesser will officiate at the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Troglin died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999 at her home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1946 in Shreveport, La., to Ardis and Ruby Pearl (McBeth) Flowers.
A housewife, Troglin was a member of the Coney Island Tabernacle in Bowlegs.
She married Charles Ray Troglin Sr., on Sept. 19, 1990 in Oklahoma City. He survives her of the home.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one grandson.
Other survivors include her father, Ardis, and stepmother, Nettie Flowers, both of Shreveport, La.; three sons, Dean Wayne Reich and Larry Michael Reich, both of Wewoka and Charles Wayne Troglin, Bowlegs; two daughters, Shelly Fowler, Sasakwa and Angela Lucas, Wewoka; two brothers, Kenneth and Timmy Flowers, both of Louisiana; three sisters, Carolyn Tucker, Konawa and Shirley Bolten and Gail Warner, both of Louisiana; and five grandchildren; and the father of her children, Larry K. Reich, Holdenville.
Casket bearers are listed as David Lucas, Joe Brown, Charles Ray Troglin Jr., Rodney Troglin, Larry Reich and Bill Chesser Sr.
Honorary bearers are Nathan Fowler and Brandon Reich.
J. Emery Troxell
SHAWNEE - Funeral services for former Seminole businessman J. Emery Troxell, 85, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church.
Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Troxell died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999 in a Shawnee hospital.
He was born Sept. 6, 1914 in Payne County to Howard A. and Mary Ellen Troxell.
A 1932 graduate of Shawnee High School, Troxell owned and operated Troxell Auto Parts in Seminole and Shawnee for 38 years before retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, Shawnee Masonic Lodge #107, Shawnee Shriners Club, Lions Club, Elks Lodge #657, Shawnee Country Club, Oklahoma City Petroleum Club, OU Touchdown Club and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Troxell was also a past member of the board of directors of the Oklahoma Automotive Wholesalers Association.
He was married Iona Mae Cummings on Jan 14, 1935. She survives him of the home.
Troxell was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jean Troxell Herring; and three brothers.
Other survivors are one grandson, Steven J. Herring, Mentor, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 711 E. Federal, Shawnee, or the Shawnee Regional Hospital Foundation, 1102 W. MacArthur, Shawnee, 74801.
Steven Tulgetske
NEWALLA - Funeral services for Steven Michael Tulgetske, husband of a former Seminole resident, are scheduled for 10:30 a.. Thursday at Ideal Street Baptist Church.
Rev. Kevin Russell, Ardmore, will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Tulgetske died Monday, March 15, 1999 at Midwest City Regional Hospital.
He was born Jan. 11, 1954 in Flint, Mich., to Wilfred John and Joan Ella (Santino) Tulgetske.
An assembly man at General Motors, he was a member of Choctaw Road Baptist Church.
He married Mila (Ledbetter) Tulgetske on May 24, 1997 in Seminole. She survives him of the home.
Tulgetske was preceded in death by his mother.
Other survivors include his father, of Newalla; one brother, Eric Tulgetske, Clio, Mich.; and three sisters, Becky Southerland, Oklahoma City, Jane Pandit, San Antonio, Texas, and Kimberly Smith, Flint, Mich.
Casket bearers include Erick Tulgetske, Gary Smith, Paul Southerland, Wylan Weems, Jim Ladd, Frank Peace and Steve Ledbetter.
