Funeral service for Geraldine Rae Adkins will be 2:30 p.m., Wed., Dec. 29, at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Chaplain Jim Collier officiating. A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. at Mountain Station Cemetery, east of Hartshorne. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m., Tues., at the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory.
Geraldine died Sat., Dec. 25, at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 51.
The daughter of Gerald Rae and Barbara Janette (Shepherd) High was born Oct. 30, 1953 in Seattle, WA. On Oct. 20, 1989, Geraldine married Eddie Wayne “Ed” Adkins in Yakima, WA. In 1991, they moved to Chelsea. Geraldine worked the last 7 years at the Claremore Veterans Center in the kitchen and as cook. Ed died April 21, 2001. Geraldine later married Dale Junior Rose, and he died July of this year. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, animals, and had a passion for collecting things. Most of all Geraldine had a love for people and was always there to help anyone she could.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Adkins and Dale Rose; her parents; and her grandmother, Clara Elizabeth High.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Bobby Rose of Tulsa; daughter, Corie Price and husband, Joe of Yakima, WA; sons: George Duncan of Walla Walla, WA, and Robert Duncan and wife, Antha of Alluwe; brother, Gerald High and wife, Leann of Onalaska, WA; sisters: Tikey Manjarezz and husband, Sam of Topinish, WA, and Cheryl McDaniel and husband, Mike of Onalaska, WA; grandchildren: Tori Price, Lyle Duncan, Ryann Duncan, Raelyn Duncan, and 2 grandchildren on the way.
Velma Jean Alberts

Velma Jean Alberts died Sun., August 3, 2003, at the Inola Health Care Center at the age of 93. No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home.
The daughter of Angus and Clara Mae (Newland) Bethune was born March 6, 1909, in Waverly, KS. The family moved to California when Velma was a year old. They lived in several cities and she attended school in the Bay area. Velma married Charles Edward Alberts and they made their home in Santa Barbara. Velma worked as a bookkeeper in various jobs in the L.A. area. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
Velma is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Merle, Ruth, and Grace.
She is survived by her children: David Charles Alberts and wife, Sally of Monument, CO, and Karen Holland and husband, Gerald of Inola; sister, Kathryn Conliffe of Keno, OR; 4 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Michael Roy Alberty will be 10 a.m., Wed., June 16, at Church of the Nazarene, Claremore, with Rev. Wayde Normandin officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m.
Mike died Fri., June 11, 2004, at the age of 26 and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He was named for and preceded in death by his father, Michael Eugene, Jan. 16, 2004.
He was the youngest child of Michael Eugene and Linda Kay (Schritter) Alberty born March 26, 1976, in Pryor. Everyone fondly called him “Mikey”. He grew up and attended school in Claremore where he participated and excelled in wrestling, soccer, and football. He loved and was always proud of his children. He liked fishing and playing pool. He worked as a concrete finisher most of his adult life. He had a wonderful sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. He loved joking around and making everyone laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Brandie of the home; children, Michael, Gage, and Jayce Alberty of the home; mother and step-father, Linda and Bryan Holstrom of Troutdale, OR; brother, Bucky Will Alberty of Claremore; sister, Lanette Michelle Alberty of Claremore; grandparents, Jessie and Jimmie “Sarge” Shields; aunts and uncles, Bill and Bobbie Alberty of Inola, and Jim and Annette Diggs of Topeka, KS; and many more relatives that loved him and will miss him.

Funeral service for Dan Ash will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Rev. Johnny Walden will officiate. Burial will follow at Timber Ridge Cemetery in Catoosa.
Dan died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at his daughter’s home in Sperry, at the age of 92.
The son of Andy and Alma Smith Ash was born August 22, 1913 in Bragg, Oklahoma. Dan married Pearl Bray in Fayetteville, AR on April 11, 1933. They were married 73 years before Pearl died August 31, 2005. The couple made their home in Catoosa before moving to Claremore in 1972. Dan was retired from Jetco. Dan and Pearl were faithful members of Cornerstone Community Church. They loved music and often would sing in the area nursing homes. They gardened together and always shared what they grew with their family and friends.
Family members surviving are sons, Bobby and wife, Donna Ash of Tulsa, and Harvey and wife, Marilyn Ash of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Doris and husband, Donald Figart of Sperry; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl; son, Bart Ash; grandson, Donnie Lynn Hoffman; and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Clinton Thomas Aaron

Funeral service for Chelsea resident, Clinton Thomas Aaron, will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Chelsea, with Rev. Gerald Biswell officiating. Burial will follow in Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1-8 p.m.
The son of Claude and Hettie (Vaughn) Aaron was born July 27, 1920, in Haskell, TX. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at the age of 85.
Clinton moved from Haskell, TX to Tulsa at the age of 20, and later made Chelsea his home. He worked as a plumber, and also was employed by Douglas Aircraft. He was a member of the Plumber's Union and the First Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendant. He enjoyed working outdoors, raising cattle and fishing. He also was a little league coach and coin collector.
On June 26, 1943, Clinton married Betty June Schmoll in Sapulpa. Two sons were added to this union.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Family members surviving are his wife, Betty of the home, sons: Gary Thomas Aaron of Tulsa, and Mark Clinton Aaron and wife Linda of Philadelphia, PA, grandchildren: Angela Atalee Zarzycki and Andrew Marcus Aaron, both of Philadelphia, great-grandchildren: Peyton Edward Zarzycki and Palmer Clinton Zarzycki, both of Philadelphia, sister: Lula Belle Johnson of Mission, TX, and many friends and loved ones.

Funeral service for Kenneth Arden “Red” Atkins will be 10 a.m., Sat., April 12, 2003, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday 1-8 p.m.
Red died Wed., April 9, at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 89.
The son of Earl M. and Hallie H. Calloway Atkins was born Sept. 15, 1913, in Chelsea. He graduated from Chelsea High School. On Oct. 31, 1934, in Chelsea, Red married Josephine Lorene Williams. They moved to Claremore 26 years ago from the Skiatook area. Kenneth was retired from working Shell Pipeline Company where he was a station operator at Wild Horse. Red was a 50 year member of the Frisco Masonic Lodge #24, Fairland. Red enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Don Atkins, daughter, Hallie Jane Ennis, and 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
Red is survived by his wife, Josephine of the home; son, Kenneth J. Atkins of Liberal, KS; sister, Mildred Wolf of Wilburton, OK; and 6 grandchildren.
