Claudia Wade

Funeral services for Seminole County resident Claudia Maurine Wade, 72, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Seminole.

Wade died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Lurry, and one sister, Mildred Leach.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Wade, Cooper City, Fla.; two sisters, Ernestine Cunningham and Justine Blake, both of Seminole; and one brother, Oliver Lurry, Seminole.

Edna Waite

Memorial services for Seminole resident Edna Waite, 85, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Waite died Sunday, June 27, 1999 at her Seminole home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1913 in Western New York to David and Maria (Hinterberger) Congo.

Waite was employed with Waite-Reimer Building Company in the office.

She was married to Oscar J. Waite. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include one daughter, Alix Botsford and her husband, Marvin, Seminole; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jessy Walker

WEWOKA — Funeral services for Jessy Cy Walker, infant great-grandson of Wewoka residents Lee and Judy Cloud, are scheduled for Saturday.

The baby was born Dec. 24 in El Reno to Robbie West and Jeremy Walker. He died Wednesday at Park View Hospital, El Reno.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout Funeral Chapel. Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Douglas family cemetery near Konawa.

The baby was preceded in death by great-grandparents Robert Lee, Mary Lou West and Tommy West; and by great-great-grandparents Porter West, Legus and Sissie West and Harry Morgan.

Survivors include his parents, of the home, two sisters, Jennifer and Felicia West, both of the home; grandparents, Lucilla and Bobbie McGirt, Holdenville, Leo Cloud of Moore, and Linda and Mike Jackson, Oklahoma City; great grandparents Lee and Judy Cloud, Wewoka, Agnes West of Konawa and Sarah Griner, El Reno; and great-great-grandmother, Emma Foster, Shawnee.

Pallbearers will include Brandon Boblett and Michael Ague.

Leslie Walker

Funeral services for Leslie Ann Walker, infant daughter of Terry and Joammie Walker, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Seminole Indian Baptist Church.

Rev. Dorsey Nero and Rev. Houston Tiger are set to officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Seminole Indian Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.

Walker died Thursday, June 10, 1999.

She was born June 4, 1999 in Oklahoma City, and was baptized on June 10.

Walker was preceded in death by one grandmother, Joan Burgess in May 1995.

Survivors include her parents, of the home; one brother, Wesley Roulston, Shawnee; two sisters, Theda Roulston, Washington, D.C., and Tiffany Walker, Konawa; and grandparents, Alex Burgess, Spaulding, Christine Gibson, Konawa and Laurie Roulston, Konawa.

Morgan Walker

Graveside services for former Wewoka resident Morgan E. Walker, 80, of Rusk, Texas, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.

Rev. Thom Chappelle will officiate at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.

Walker died Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in Jacksonville, Texas.

He was born July 17, 1918 in Payson. He had lived in Rusk for the past four years.

A member of the First Baptist Church, Walker had retired from Pan American Petroleum Company in Elmore City.

He became a 32 degree Mason in 1975 and was a member of Eastern Star, Wewoka.

A veteran, Walker served in the US Army’s 45th Division during World War II, and was a member of VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wanetta Walker, Rusk, Texas; one son, Thomas Walker, Wewoka; one daughter, Moretta "Marty" Lucas, Rusk; one brother, Johnny Walker, Oklahoma City; one sister, Geneva Melson, Chandler; and one grandson.

Willie Walker

Funeral services for former Konawa resident Willie Jo Walker, 87, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Pickard Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.

Walker died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999 in Springdale.

She was born July 23, 1912 in Katy to Vance and Floy Shelton Hale.

Walker had lived in Konawa for a time, and also in McLoud before moving to Springdale in 1987.

She was married to Ernest E. Walker for 54 years; he preceded her in death in 1981.

Survivors include three daughters, Jerrie Lee Griffith, Oklahoma City, Ruth Jo Stevenson, Springdale, and Linda Carole Dixon, McKinney, Texas; two brothers, Ed Hale, Carlsbad, N.M., and Leon Hale, Eufaula; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Edith Wallis

Funeral services for former Cromwell resident Edith Bell Wallis, 95, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Okemah.

Rev. Charles Jones will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Schoolton Cemetery.

Wallis died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 at a Shawnee nursing home.

She was born April 29, 1903 in Asher to Frank and Lola Burrsaw Butler.

A homemaker, Wallis was a member of the Cromwell Pentecostal Holiness Church, and lived in Cromwell until moving to McLoud in 1989.

She married Richard E. Wallis on Jan. 26, 1945. He preceded her in death May 28, 1986.

Wallis was also preceded in death by a stepson, Bobby Wallis.

Survivors are one stepson, Boyd Wallis, Oklahoma City; two stepdaughters, Nona Dennis, Eufaula, and Laverne Carr, McAlester; 13 stepgrandchildren, 22 stepgreat-grandchildren and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Abe ‘Habon’ Walters

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Abe "Habon" Walters, 54, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Wewoka Indian Baptist Church.

Rev. T.J. Fixico and Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at the Goate family cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.

Wake services are set for 6 p.m. tonight at Stout Chapel.

Walters died Saturday, July 17, 1999 in Wewoka.

He was born Dec. 19, 1944 in Wewoka to Frank Walters and Susie Leitka Walters.

He was reared in the Wewoka area and attended Justice Elementary and Spaulding School.

Walters enlisted in the US Army in May, 1967, and received an Honorable Discharge in April, 1969.

After his service time, he worked in Oklahoma City for a short time, then returned to Wewoka, where he worked for Bemo’s Paint and Body Shop for 10 years.

Walters was a member of the New Hope Pentecostal Church, and was baptized April 15, 1990 by Rev. Fixico.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Solomon "Rusty" Walters.

Survivors include his mother, of the home; five sons, Abe Walters Jr., James Walters, John Walters and Tony Walters, all of Tecumseh, and Davis Walters, Shawnee; one daughter, Vanessa Walters, Tecumseh; three sisters, Lillie Harjo, Betsy Harjo and Vivian Walters, all of Wewoka; seven brothers, Isaac Walters and Louis Walters, both of Okemah, Leo Tiger, Seminole, Frank Walters, Shawnee, Jessie Long, Holdenville, Leon McPerryman, Cromwell, and Roy Larney, Oklahoma City.

Pallbearers are listed as Leo Tiger II, Earnest McPerryman, Sagey Hicks, Jr. Harjo, Simon Larney and Jeremy McPerryman.

Honorary pallbearers include Greg Poafpybitty, Walter Factor, Benny Bemo, B. John Davis, Charley Cosar, Cop Tiger, Simmer Hicks and Jimsey Harjo.

Nina Walton

Funeral services for former Cromwell teacher Nina (Burk) Walton, 80, were held today in Shawnee.

Walton died Monday, May 31, 1999 at a Shawnee hospital.

She was born April 22, 1919 in Rich Mountain, Ark. to Clarence and Emma Burk.

Walton graduated from Acorn High School in Acorn, Ark., and East Central University in Ada.

She had taught school in Cushing as well as Cromwell.

Walton had lived in Wellston since 1979, and moved to Shawnee four years ago.

She was a member of the Oklahoma Educators Association.

Walton was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include five daughters, Karen Sue Roberts, Guthrie, Linda June Toops, Cushing, Gwen Ellen Fisher, Oklahoma City, Billie Ann Hensley, Norman, and Galen Patricia Rowlands, Canyon City Colo.; two sons, David Burk Walton, Lone Grove, and Paul Stuart Walton, Coos Bay, Ore.; two sisters, Billie Burk Shepard, St. Louis, Mo., and Emma Maurine Wessels, Bull Head City, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Luemonia Wandrick

Funeral services for lifelong Wewoka resident Luemonia (Skipper) Wandrick, 81, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Baptist Church.

The church’s pastor, Rev. Lawrence Butler, will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Keller Funeral Home.

Wandrick died Thursday, April 1, 1999 at Elmwood Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She was born Dec. 2, 1917 in Seminole County to Orange and Noriss (Flemings) Skipper.

She is survived by one sister, Mabel Webb, Los Angeles, Calif.
