Graveside services for Bobby Leroy Elliott, father of Seminole County residents, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Wolf Cemetery , south of Seminole. Rev. Larry Chesser will officiate. Elliott died Wednesday, Aug. 1 in Chickasha at the age of 38. He was born Aug. 26, 1962 to Vangie (Chavez) and Bobby Ray Elliott at Grants, N.M.. Elliott married Beverly Kay Barnhart on June 9, 1992 in Van Buren, Ark. He worked as a chain hand in the oilfield. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of the home; one daughter, Misty Dawn Griffith, Wewoka; two stepdaughters, Leslie Key, Stuart, and Amy Hayes, Konawa; one sister, Tammy Jones, Hobbs, N.M.; two brothers, Troy Elliott, Hobbs, N.M. and Stacy Elliott, Howe; a grandmother, Lavada Elliott, Wister; six aunts and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers are listed as Danny Ray Bailey, Wayne Key, Ronnie Key, Johnny Means, Cash Elliot, and George Gage. John Elliott will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Jonathon Anderson
Funeral services for Jonathon Anderson, the brother of Wewoka Police Officer Jeremy Anderson, were held Saturday in the Landsau-Evans Funeral Home in Enid. Graveside services were held this morning in the Old Town Tuskahoma Cemetery in Tuskahoma. Anderson died Wednesday at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was 21. Anderson was born Sept. 10, 1979 in Enid to Ron and Teresa Anderson. He attended Waukomis Public Schools and was a graduate of Enid High School. He was a speaker and supporter of Alateen and Alanon family groups and an advocate of Alcoholics Anonymous. Anderson was a founding member of the local rap group, Midwest Hustlaz and had recently completed his second album, Da Golden Child. He is survived by his mother Teresa, Tuskahoma; his father, Ron, Enid; one brother, Jeremy Anderson, Seminole; grandparents, Jack and Nancy Anderson, Waukomis, and Bill and Lois Karr, Tuskahoma; and his fianceé, Megan Kirby, Enid. Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Jon Anderson Memorial Fund, which is through Challenge to Change, Inc.
Clara Buntz
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Clara Jean Buntz are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at The Village United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Demuth Funeral Home. Buntz died Thursday at the age of 75. She was born May 18, 1926 in Seminole. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Rodney. Buntz is survived by her husband, Bill Buntz; four stepsons, William, Oklahoma City, Paul, Durant, Mark, Tulsa, and Douglas, Duncanville, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Hazel (Rhea) Oakley
Funeral services for Seminole resident Hazel Corrine (Rhea) Oakley are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at Strothers Chapel at Maple Grove Cemetery. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. She entered the loving arms of her Lord on Aug. 1. Oakley was born to Harry and Margie (Gillette) Rhea on Dec. 13, 1908 in Dixon, Mo. She married married Bill P. Oakley on Aug. 1, 1928. Oakley was a graduate of Shawnee High School, and a homemaker. She moved to Seminole from Shawnee in 1928. Oakley is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Jerry Pryor Oakley and Tommy Rhea Oakley; and two sisters, Ruth Michael and Blanche Merwin. She is the beloved mother of Nancy and her husband Joseph Greenbach, Atherton, Calif.; grandmother of Jennifer Katherine Oines, Blanco, Texas, Matthew Mattox, Dallas, Texas, Stephanie Allen, Tulsa, Gregory Oakley, Sugerland, Texas, Jeff Oakley, Oklahoma City and Dr. Richard Oakley, Leawood, Kan.; and great-grandmother of nine.
Vita Mary Barrett
Funeral services for Konawa resident Vita Mary Barrett are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Konawa Church of Christ, with Frank Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home, Konawa. Barrett died Thursday at the age of 88. She was born to Minerva and James G. Beauchamp on Sunday, March 9, 1913 in Lodi, Okla. She married Otha Barrett on July 16, 1934 in Konawa. Barrett was a teacher and homemaker, who had her home in the Konawa area since 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, Robert Frank Barrett; one great-grandson, David Ryan Brewer; and four brothers, Art, Carl, Leroy, and Lacey Beauchamp. Barrett is survived by three sons, Robert Gene Barrett and Glen Barrett, both of Ada, and Rickey Wayne Barrett, Broken Arrow; three daughters, Gwneth Anita Brewer, Maud, Linda Karen Wood, Ada, and Nancy Estelle, Konawa; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Barrett’s grandsons.
Lois Alexander
Funeral services for Seminole resident Lois Alexander are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Trina Smithee will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. Alexander died Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at Seminole Medical Center. She was 87. She was born July 8, 1914 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Charles and Mary Sparks. On Aug. 26, 1945, she married Rev. Byrd Lee Alexander. She was a retired minister from the Old Glory Assembly of God and was a member of the General Council of Assemblies of God. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; and one sister, Roxie Davis, Seminole. Casket bearers will be Gerald Davis, Clifton Davis, Gail Belche, Earl Jane Broyles, Doug Belche, Danny Sparks and Jimmy Sparks. Honorary bearers will be Don Douthit, Bonnie Petit, Amil Darr, Carl Darr, Gus Monreal and Kenneth Smithee.
Claude Hensley
Graveside funeral services for former Seminole County resident Claude Hensley are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Little Cemetery under the direction of Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Hensley died Tuesday at the age of 90. He was born Nov. 12, 1910 in Seminole County to John and Etta Hensley. He was married to Tempie Hail Hensley for 71 years. Hensley retired from Sun Oil Co. in Snyder, Texas and lived in Huntington, Texas until he moved to Weatherford in 1993. He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Hensley; his parents; and three sisters. He is survived by his wife; one son, Claude Hensley, Clinton, La.; one sister, Marie Pack, Yorba Linda, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Nobie Tribbey-Loudermilk
Funeral services for Maud resident Nobie Loudermilk are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Maud. Rev. Gene Teel will officiate. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery under the direction of Knight Funeral Home. Loudermilk died July 30, 2001 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87. She was born in Elmore City on Feb. 14, 1914 to Robert and Mary Lou Henderson. She married Elbert Tribbey on Jan. 3, 1939. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1965. She married Raymond Loudermilk on Aug. 4, 1979. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1996. Loudermilk was a co-owner of Tribbey Radio and TV and Tribbey Treasures. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Maud, Maud Historical Society and Eastern Star Chapter #57. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and brothers and sisters. She is survived by two stepchildren, Raynette Kelly, Fort Worth, Texas, and Jerry Loudermilk, Meeker; one sister, Mary Henderson, Pauls Valley; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Irene Prust
Funeral services for Seminole resident Irene Prust are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Harvey Road Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Hightower will officiate. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. Prust died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 49. She was born Jan. 25, 1952 in Seminole to Jess and Pauline Williams. She married Marion Prust on Feb. 22, 1969 in Ada. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a nurse’s aide at Shawnee Medical Center and Oakridge Nursing Home in Wewoka. Prust was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son, Brian Otis, Oklahoma City; one brother, James Williams, Seminole; and five sisters, Maxine Hines, Seminole, Christine Hinesley, Sapulpa, Nowatha Cope, Eufaula, Sue Caldwell, Greenwood, S.C., and Loisetta Nix, Seminole. Casket bearers will be Brian Wilson, Frank Carter, Larry Cope, Roy Hines, Dennis Nix and Gerald Calvin Dinwiddie. Honorary bearers will be Gary Horn, Daniel Johnson and Andree Freeman.
Timothy Locust
Graveside funeral services for former Seminole resident Timothy Dwaine Locust were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. Rev. David McDougal officiated. Locust died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Baptist Integris Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 37. He was born April 8, 1964 in Seminole to Jack and Shirley Locust. He attended Pleasant Grove and Seminole schools. Locust married Doris (Riddick) Locust on May 2, 1994 in Memphis, Tenn. He was a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Doris Renee, of the home; mother and step-father, Shirley and Melvin Dorsett, Seminole; one son, Joshua Riddick, Little Axe; two daughters, Breanna Locust, Seminole, and Amie Locust, Little Axe; and one brother, Randy Livingston, Little Axe.
Wanda Craft
Funeral services for Seminole resident Wanda Craft are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Cline will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. Craft died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Integris Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 67. She was born Nov. 12, 1933 in Stedman to Clarence and Susie Nunnelley. She married Roy Craft in Sept. 1951 in Ada. He preceded her in death in November 1983. Craft was a resident of Seminole for the past 36 years. She retired as a cook at Pioneer Nursing Home in 1979. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Craft was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters, one daughter and one son. She is survived by two sons, Bob Craft, Shawnee, and Phillip Craft, Newport, Ark.; two daughters, Judy Branch and Joyce Payn, both of Seminole; one sister, Darla Lea Heighet, Anderson, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Randy Robertson, Brian Smith, Brad Vakilzadeh, Ryan Payn, Chad Nunnelley and Caleb Nunnelley.
Horace ‘Lefty’ Scribner
Graveside funeral services for former Wewoka resident Horace Scribner are scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, N.M. under the direction of AndersonBethany Funeral Home and Crematory. The Roswell Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the graveside. Scribner was born in Henryetta on March 1, 1921 to John and Nellie Jane Pirkey Scribner. On May 11, 1946 he married Dorothy Dodd. She preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 1997. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Scribner worked 35 years in the oilfields of Southeastern New Mexico for Amoco Production Company. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cathy Jo Runyan; and one brother, Doy Scribner. He is survived by one brother-in-law, Floye Crittenden, Wewoka; two sisters-in-law,Geneva Crittenden and Joyce Groom, both of Wewoka.; and two grandchildren.
