Augusta Aleshire

Location of Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa
Funeral service for Augusta Maureen (Snider) Aleshire will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Gerald Biswell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home and Crematory.

One of fourteen children of William “Bill” and Mary Elizabeth (Locke) Snider, Augusta was born December 30, 1904, in Freemont, Missouri. She passed from this life on Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Claremore Regional Hospital, at the age of 99. Mrs. Aleshire had been a Chelsea resident since 1974.

As a child, Augusta moved from Missouri to Arkansas in a covered wagon, and in 1919, traveled by train to Tulsa with her family, where her father was an iron worker. On December 28, 1921, Augusta and William Harley Aleshire were married . A talented homemaker who loved playing cards and dressing up in her costume jewelry , Augusta lived alone and did all her own cooking , gardening, and driving until her death. An avid Bible reader, she had just finished reading the entire Bible through. She especially loved her Fidelis Sunday School class at First Baptist Church.

Augusta was preceded in death by her parents, twelve siblings, her husband, and two children, Imogene Aleshire Ishmael and Floyd Glen Aleshire.

She is survived by one sister, Ida Donohew of Tulsa, one granddaughter, Phyllis McIlroy of Arlington, VA, two great-grandchildren: Heather Cook-Whaley of Irving, TX, and Javan McIlroy of Dallas, TX, niece Joan and husband J.L. Harrell of Chelsea, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Victoria B. Abromitis

Victoria Barbara “Vicki” Abromitis was born Dec. 20, 1916, in Detroit, MI. On Jan. 4, 1944, Vicki married Edmund Edward Abromitis in St. John Nepomucene, Detroit, MI. She resided in Taylor, MI, until moving to Claremore 5-1/2 years ago to be with her daughter, Adrienne.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund; parents, Anthoni and Veronica (Cupel) Krasuski; and 5 siblings.

Vicki is survived by her daughters, Adrienne Gripado and husband, Carlos of Claremore, Kathleen Konczal and husband, Bruce of Livonia, MI; grandchildren: Karlos and wife, Jennifer of Verdigris, Gina, Aprill, and Robin Gripado of Oklahoma, Erik Konczal and wife, Katherine of West Palm Beach, FL, and Adrianne Konczal of Livonia, MI; and great-grandchildren: Adam, Kayla, and Kirsten Konczal of West Palm Beach, FL, and Romney and Tia Gripado of Verdigris.

Francisco Louis "Frank" Hernandez
Date of Service: 11 a.m.Thursday, January 24, 2008
Location of Service: St. Cecilia's Catholic Church
Location of Burial: Lone Elm Cemetery
Viewing Information: Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial for Francisco Louis “Frank” Hernandez will be 11 a.m., Thurs., Jan. 24, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church with Father Daniel Perlinski officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. A rosary service will be held 7 p.m., Wed., at the funeral home.

Frank died Mon., Jan. 21, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 88.

The son of Luis Beyette and Juana Hernandez was born on Oct. 10, 1919, in Laredo, TX, where he was raised and attended high school. Frank served in the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea. On Feb. 24, 1945, while on leave, he married Estela Valdez. They lived in Laredo, TX, until 1959 when they moved to Tulsa. In 1979, they moved to Claremore, OK. Frank worked as an electrical engineer for North American Aviation, Systems Engineering, and Furlow and Associates retiring in 1993. Frank then went to work with Wal-mart in Claremore in 1998 until 2005. He enjoyed working in the yard and tinkering with guns. Frank has been a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church since July 1979.

He is survived by his sons: Frank L. Hernandez and wife, Lynn of Carrollton, TX, and Elmo G. Hernandez of League City, TX; grandchildren: Dr. Brian N. Hernandez of San Antonio, TX, and Karen M. Hernandez of Carrollton, TX; and extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Estela; parents; brothers, Tomas H. Vela and Eddie Beyette; and sister, Anita Acevedo.

Rev. Eakle Peyton Allen, Jr.
Date of Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007
Location of Service: Inola United Methodist Church
Location of Burial: Kansas
Viewing Information: Visitation will be held at the funeral home Fri. 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Family Request for: Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Children's Fund.
Funeral service for Rev. Eakle P. Allen, Jr., age 80 will be 3 pm Saturday Oct. 13, 2007 at the Inola United Methodist Church under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eakle died Tues., Oct. 9, 2007, at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, at the age of 80.

The son of Eakle P. and Olive F. (Thompson) Allen was born on Jan. 6, 1927, in Florence, CO. He married Barbara W. Castleberry on Aug. 8, 1948 in Atlanta, KS, after serving in the Navy during WWII. She preceded him in death in June of this year. Prior to the ministry Eakle was a teacher, basketball coach, and worked for Boeing Aircraft for 18 years. He was active in the Lions Club, an amateur Ham Radio Operator, the American Legion, DAV and scouting. He was scout master in Braman, OK, Rose Hill Methodist Church, Tulsa, and restarted a troop in Inola, OK.

Eakle was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; daughter, Venice Fischer; and sisters: Virginia Groom and Dorothy B. Allen.

His survivors include sons: Michael Allen and wife, Tawanda, Kenneth Allen and wife, Tilitha, Robert Allen, Roger Allen, Jack Allen and wife, Linda, and Steven Allen and wife, Debbie; son-in-law, Charles Fischer; brother, Harold Allen; sister, Marjorie Sullivan; grandchildren: Michael Allen, Jr. and wife, Tabitha, Stacy Boyd and husband, Jeb, Jason Allen and wife, Kari, Anthony Allen and wife, Alexion, Danny Allen and wife, Shawna, Melanie McClain, Jeremy Allen and wife, Rebekah, Mandy Garcia and husband, Pedro, Serena Straka and husband, Ben, Toby Fischer, Joshua Allen, Jeff Long, and Marty Long; and great-grandchildren: Kruize McClain, Korienna McClain, Kiara McClain, Angelica McClain, Kristian McClain, Kaleb Allen-Garcia, Kieshia Allen-Garcia, MaLeaha Allen-Garcia, Bentura Allen-Garcia, Gabriel Allen, Danielle Allen, Angelisa Allen, Dylan Allen, Marissa Allen, Alana Allen, Anthony Allen, Jr., Ashtin Allen, Hanna Boyd, Grant Allen, Austin Allen, Alex Allen, Eli Allen, and Ashlyn Allen.

Nellie Lorine Bryson Allen

Memorial service for Nellie “Lorine” Allen will be 10 a.m., Sat., Aug. 25, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. David Ray Newlun officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lorine died Thurs., Aug. 16, 2007, at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 92.

The daughter of Sam Alonso and Dora Victoria (Cotton) Bryson was born Dec. 13, 1914, in Decatur, AR. Lorine was married to William Lester Newlun from 1931-36. In 1942, Lorine married Jess Allen in Tulsa. They made their home in Tulsa, and she has lived the past 14 years in Claremore. She was a champion rivetor with Douglas Aircraft during World War II, and worked in manufacturing electronics most of her working life. Lorine retired from Davis Oil Field Equipment in 1975.

Lorine is survived by her sons: Donald Ray Newlun and wife, Barbara of Edmond, and Gene Newlun and wife, Dee Ann of Claremore; brother, Sam Lon Bryson, Jr. and wife, Esther of Collinsville; grandchildren: David R. Newlun, Micheal Newlun, Star Fernetta Newlun, Philip Gene Newlun, Rhonda E. Campbell, Kevin M. Newlun, and Joe Don Newlun; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; half-sisters: Lonetta Bryson Davis and Janice Bryson Walker both of Arkansas; step-sister, Reba Hill of Arkansas; and niece, Pamela Sue Pilgrim and husband, Stanley of Rogers County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters that died in infancy: Henryetta and Vera Claudine.

Barbara Willidene Allen

Barbara died Thurs., June 28, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 74.

The daughter of Albert Denver and Grace Elizabeth (Speck) Castleberry was born July 27, 1932, in Oologah. Barbara attended Dieterle School in Inola. As a young adult Barbara moved to Kansas where she met Eckel Allen. They were married August 8, 1948, in Atlanta, KS. They made their home in Kansas before moving to Oklahoma in 1958. Eckel and Barbara began a ministry in 1974, and in 1994 moved to Inola. Barbara was a past local president of the United Methodist Women, and was the current district president. Barbara enjoyed making arts and crafts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Venice Fischer; siblings: Floyd Castleberry, Linda Rogers, Betty Lee, Irene Honeycutt, Ruby Molder, Elva Neely, Oscar Molder, Cecil Molder, David Molder, Wilbur Molder, and Virgil Castleberry; and step-mother, Inola Castleberry.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Eckel; children: Michael Allen and wife, Tawanda, Kenneth Allen and wife, Talitha, Venice Fischer and husband, Charles, Robert Allen, Roger Allen, Jack Allen and wife, Linda, and Steven Allen and wife, Debbie; grandchildren: Michael Allen, Jr. and wife, Tabitha, Stacy Boyd and husband, Jeb, Jason Allen and wife, Kari,Anthony Allen and wife, Alexion, Danny Allen and wife, Shawna, Melanie McClain, Jeremy Allen and wife, Rebekah, Mandy Garcia and husband, Pedro, Serena Straka and husband, Ben, Toby Fischer, Joshua Allen, Jeff Long, and Marty Long; great-grandchildren: Kruize McClain, Korienna McClain, Kiara McClain, Angelica McClain, Kristian McClain, Kaleb Allen-Garcia, Kieshia Allen-Garcia, MaLeaha Allen-Garcia, Bentura Allen-Garcia, Gabriel Allen, Danielle Allen, Angelisa Allen, Dylan Allen, Marissa Allen, Alana Allen, Anthony Allen, Jr., Ashtin Allen, Hanna Boyd, Grant Allen, Austin Allen, Alex Allen, Eli Allen, and Ashlyn Allen; and siblings: John Castleberry, Albert Castleberry, Jr., Lloyd Castleberry, Ray Castleberry, Mary Jo Thornberg, and Alberta McGuire.
