Memorial service for Annie Faye Alba will be 2 p.m., Fri., June 22, at Oologah Assembly of God with Rev. Kent Jensen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory.
Annie died Fri., June 15, 2007, at her home at the age of 67.
The daughter of Bay Orvan and Fannie Lee (Dennis) Beene was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Springhill, LA. Annie made her home in Oologah. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the American Legion Post 141 Auxilliary, Claremore.
Annie is survived by her children: Aluandra Cobb and husband, Gerald, and Ricky Thayer all of Claremore; grandchildren: Christopher Baldwin of Kentucky, Nicholas Baldwin of Virginia, and Danielle and Brittany Thayer of Maine; and great-grandsons: Austin, Corbin, and Kaleb Baldwin of Virginia, and Max Baldwin of Kentucky.

Comments: Funeral service for Mary Jean Avery will be 11 a.m., Wed., at Trinity Baptist Church, Claremore, with Rev. Phil Dark officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues., 1-8 p.m.
Mary died Sat., Dec. 13, at Inola Health Care Center at the age of 83.
The daughter of Jim R. and Jasey E. Smith was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Leach. She attended Lowery schools. Mary married James W. Avery and they moved to the Verdigris area in 1950. James pastored many churches in the Claremore area including an Indian Mission Church, Hilldale Baptist, and Willieo Baptist. Mary was a devoted pastor’s wife, and played the piano at most of the churches her husband pastored. She was currently a member of Willieo Baptist Church. Mary loved to fish, and pick mushrooms and wild onions. She was a quilter, loved to sew, and enjoyed going to garage sales.
Mary is survived by her son, James D. Avery and wife, Cheryl; daughter-in-law, Chaya Avery; sister, Dana Terry and husband, Jim; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 5 nieces.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Lloyd Dale Avery; and infant sister, Wilma Avery.

Services for Verdigris resident Christine Anderson will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, at Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Chapel in Claremore. Rev. J. R. Sumter, pastor of the New Life Tabernacle, will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday. A reception will follow immediately following the services at the homeplace.
Christine was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2003. She was 69.
She was born on Silk Stocking Road in Verdigris, Oklahoma on December 17, 1933, the daughter of Barty and Edith Miller Holman. Christine was reared and educated in Verdigris and graduated from Catoosa High School in 1951. She married Air Force Ssgt. Richard Elwood Swinney in 1951. Richard died while in the airforce in 1956. In 1958 she married Andy Anderson in Claremore.
Christine received her nursing degree and began work at St. Johns Hospital in O.B. delivery. She was a member of the New Life Tabernacle Church in Chelsea. She spent many years of her life in nursing, serving on church boards, Verdigris School reunion committees, and organizing family holiday events. She was a founding member of the Rogers County Appaloosa Horse Club, raising horses and cattle on a ranch on Hwy 66 in Verdigris, and recently ran the A & A Equipment Company with her husband Andy. She loved children, plants, gardening, bowling, bird watching, and raising animals. She was called “mom” by many, and her passing has left her family with many memories. She will be greatly missed.
Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Barty and Edith Holman; brother, Mathew Holman, husband Richard E. Swinney, and step-mother Fanny Gourd.
Family members surviving are her husband of 30 years, Andy Anderson of Verdigris; siblings, Mary Ann Wolf and husband John of Claremore, Jerry Wayne Holman and wife Nancy of Claremore, Joy Ann Milehan of Chandler, and Glenda Jean Thompson of Arlington, TX; sons, Richard Elwood Swinney II and wife Jerri of Claremore, David Lee Swinney of Claremore, Donald Eugene Swinney of Verdigris, John Wayne Anderson of Stillwater, Bob Leon Anderson and wife Debbie of Claremore; granddaughter and great-grandson that Christine raised Shannon Dawn Swinney and Mathew Austin Simpson; and 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service for Frank Alioto will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Wards Grove Cemetery; under the direction of the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service and Crematory.
Mr. Alioto passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Southcrest Hospital at the age of 56.
The son of Frank and Mable Traylor Alioto was born November 21, 1950 in Houston, Texas. As a young boy he and his family moved to California. There he attended California Public Schools. He then began working as a baker in several area bakery’s. In his spare time he enjoyed deep sea fishing, and surfing. In 1984 he moved to Oklahoma to be near his family. He worked a short time for Ann’s Bakery in Tulsa, before starting to work at the Claremore Veterans Center. His hobbies included fishing and watching NASCAR on TV.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brothers, George Wood and wife Charlotte of Broken Arrow, and Richard Wood and and wife Joy of Sand Springs, and sister, Cathy Gibson and husband John, and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

Randall died Fri., Oct. 24, 2003, at Claremore Indian Hospital at the age of 40.
The son of Bert Frederick and Helen Sue (Barry) Tillock was born September 5, 1963, in Claremore. As a child, he was in Boy Scouts. He graduated from Claremore High School and attended Rogers State University. On March 12, 1988, Randall married Helen Elaine Coffman in Foyil, where they have made their home. Randall was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Cherokee Tribe. He enjoyed fishing with his children, gardening, wooodworking, camping, reading, and playing his flute. Randall sold his crafts at Pow wow’s for 6 years.
Randall was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ethel Francis (Barry) Tate, and Albert Lee “Jack” Barry; uncle, John Samuel “Jack” Barry; and aunts: Mable Gene Gabberd and Terry Fifer.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, and children: Rebecca, Christopher, and Jennifer Tillock all of the home; parents: Bert and Helen Sue Tillock of Claremore; brothers: Darrall Tillock and wife, Cindy of Broussard, LA, Jerry Tillock and wife, Terry of Catoosa, and Kevin Tillock and wife, Jennifer of Moore; and nieces and nephews: Cindy Rose and Darrall Tillock, Jr. of Broussard, LA, and Kara and Timothy Tillock of Catoosa; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Young and husband, Earl Wayne of Foyil.
