Graveside funeral services for Made Marie Carper Bussey are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Wetumka Cemetery.
Rev. Carl Whitfield is set to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud.
Bussey died Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa at the age of 87.
She was born in Clarksville, Ark. on April 12, 1915 to George Arthur and Beulah May (Dalton) Ray.
She married Nick Lucas (Pete) Craper in 1932 in Logan County, Ark.
He preceded her in death in August of 1955.
She then married William Franklin "Frank" Bussey on July 30, 1991 in Shawnee.
He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2001.
Bussey was a school cook for Wetumka Public School for many years and was also a homemaker.
She was a member of Maud First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one brother; one sister; and one son, Don Carper in 1961.
Bussey is survived by four sons, Kenneth Carper of Sapulpa, L.E. Carper of Sand Springs, Jimmy Carper of Ventura, Calif., and Bill Carper of Davis; one daughter, Betty Houtz of Newalla; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five brothers, Clyde Ray and Shifford Ray, both of Wetumka, R.H. Ray of Maud, James Harold Ray of Seminole, and M.L. Ray of Long Beach, Miss.; and one sister, Merle Sanders of Seminole.
Opal Cagle
Funeral services for Opal Laverne (Nottingham) Cagle are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Calvin.
Rev. Eddy Matthews and Rev. Bart Effinger are set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Kingston Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Cagle died Monday, June 10, 2002 at Jan Frances Care Center in Ada at the age of 73.
She lived around Ada for 10 years and then lived in Kingston for 22 years. She moved back to Ada last year.
She was born July 26, 1928 in Big Clifty, Ky. to Harley and Resia Mydia (Royalty) Nottingham.
Cagle married Paul Richard Cagle in Big Clifty, Ky. on Dec. 22, 1946.
She was a homemaker and owned Byng Grocery with her husband for several years in the 1970’s.
She and her husband were both employees of the Texoma Park Rangers.
Cagles attended Streetman Road Baptist Church in Texoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Holbert Nottingham in 1986.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Cagle of Ada; one daughter, Jan Russell of Calvin; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Alfred ‘A.D.’ Calvert
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Alfred David "A.D." Calvert are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.
Bro. Larry Chesser and Bro. Dwight Gonzales are set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Calvert died following a lengthy illness on Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 while on his way home from an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was 82.
He was born in Ada on Oct. 9, 1919 to William Spencer and Allie Meda Hopkins Calvert.
Calvert lived in east central Oklahoma most of his life.
He attended school in Texas and married Gladys Johnson on May 23, 1943.
He worked in the oilfield as a driller before retiring in 1980.
Calvert is survived by his wife of the home; four daughters, JoAnn Calvert and Evelyn Calvert, both of San Jose, Calif., and Shirley Threet and Marsha Sawyer, both of Wewoka; three sons, Lloyd Scroggins and David and Jimmy Calvert, all of Wewoka; one sister, Wonda Sherfield of Texas; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Phyllis Vance; one son, Tommy Calvert; and one grandson, Larry Calvert.
Pallbearers will be Jim Bo Calvert, Kevin Calvert, Rick Harris and Brandon Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Calvert, Terry Calvert, Aldred Dean Calvert, Larry Scroggins, Tommy Sawyer, Johnny Harris, Michael Pierce, Brian Calvert-Sisco, Tammy Roy, Connie Marshall, Tracy Calvert, Stacy Calvert, Kimberly Calvert, Stephanie Gilbert, and Danielle Carpenter.

MAUD – Funeral services for J.R. Calvert are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church.

Calvert died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at O.U. Medical Center at the age of 69.
He was born April 4, 1932 in Mustang to Hiram Byron Sr. and Izora (Jarvis) Calvert.
He married Janice Carolyne Smith on March 13, 1970 in Shawnee.
Calvert was a brick mason and worked in the industry for over 40 years before retiring.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Noble Alumni Association.
He was a volunteer for the Boy’s Baseball Association.
Calvert organized the Three-on-Three Tournaments in Maud.
He served as president of the Maud Three-on-Three Association for many years.
He recently built a court yard at Noble High School for the Noble Alumni Association.
Calvert was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Carmen Calvert McCraw in 1993; one brother, Roy Calvert; and one sister, Violet Calvert.
He is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, Randy Calvert, Jimmy Calvert, and Brandon Calvert, all of Maud, and David Calvert of Tulsa; four daughters, Carolyn Green and Rita Smith, both of McAlester, Kathy Lewis of Maud and Anna Van Orden of Island Lake, Ill.; 27 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Victor Calvert of Broken Arrow, Rev. Virgil Calvert of Pawnee, and Ray Calvert of Bixby; and five sisters, Velma Williams, Donna McMillian, and Rose Lee Edgemond, all of Noble, Ester Bryant of Slaughterville, and Dorita Cheatwood of McKiddyville.
David Camp
Funeral services for David DeWayne "Buddy" Camp are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Sand Creek Eufaula Church.
Rev. Rains and Rev. Houston Tiger are set to officiate.
Wake services are set for 6:30 Saturday evening.
The body will be taken to Sand Creek Church at 5 p.m. for wake services Sunday evening.
Interment is to follow in the Bender Family Center under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Camp died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at the age of 39.
He was born March 19, 1963 to Johnny Camp and Lillie Bender Wood.
He attended school in Konawa and graduated from Norman High School in 1980.
Camp was a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Norman.
He was employed with Concrete Coring Company.
He married Tina Akin Camp on June 28, 1998.
Camp was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of the home; five daughter, Shi-Lynn Camp and Amy GoKey, both of Norman, Mary Camp of Dallas, Texas, and Lotoya Camp and Lagina Camp, both of Florida; one son, Randy Camp of Norman; one brother, Wade Camp of Norman; and five sisters, Christine Fleming, Wilma Cooper, an Darlene Chesser, all of Norman, Stella Culberson of Connerville, and Arlene Warner of Tulsa.
Edith Campbell
Our precious loved one Edith L. Campbell (Hewlett) went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 after a lengthy illness.
She passed away at her home in Seminole with her daughter and son-in-law at her bedside.
She was born in Shawnee to Sam and Ada (Carrell) Hewlett on Dec. 27, 1912.
Edith was very close to her loving stepfather, Karl Montague.
She married Jirl D. Campbell on Oct. 12, 1935 in Oklahoma City.
Her husband, parents, and two sisters preceded her in death.
Edith’s main enjoyment and task in life was being a loving Mother and Grandmother.
She was a member of the Putnam City Church of Christ.
She was past President and lifetime member of the Bethany Warr Acres American Legion Auxiliary Unit 12.
Edith lived over 30 years in Warr Acres then moved to Yukon to live with her daughter and son-in-law for 20 years.
The family moved from Yukon to Seminole in March of 2000.
The last days of her life were made comfortable by the loving care of the personnel of Frontier Hospice of Bethany.
Edith "Grandma" is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William D. and Miriam Campbell of Marietta, Ga.; her daughter and son-in-law, Carrell and Johnny Brooks of Seminole; three grandchildren, David Campbell and his wife, Lori of Acworth, Ga., Denise (Campbell) Clark and husband Brian of Marietta, Ga., and April Brooks of Washington D.C.; four great-grandchildren, Michelle and Austin Clark and Alyse and Alan Campbell, all of Georgia.
She is also survived by a special young lady, Mikka Walker of Mustang, other family members, and scores of friends.
Funeral services for Edith are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2002 at Bill Merritt Funeral Chapel in Bethany.
Interment is to follow at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
