Funeral services for Sasakwa native Bill E. Epperley are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Holdenville.
Rev. Steve Murray will officiate the services.
Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Bill passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at his home at the age of 73.
He was born to Perry Floyd "Dube" Epperley and Mary Gertrude Tilley Epperley on Sept. 4, 1928 in Sasakwa.
Bill was raised in Sasakwa, Spaulding, and Greenleaf community.
After high school, Bill joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean Conflict from 1946 until 1948.
On Aug. 20, 1949, Bill married Norma Epperley; she preceded him in death on March 22, 1993.
He later married Helen Evans on April 4, 1994.
Bill worked as a tool pusher in the oilfields for R.W.I.T. 25 years and with Claybrook Drilling for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Norma; one son, Chris Epperley; one sister, Charlene Scroggins; and one brother, Bud Epperley.
Bill is survived by his second wife, Helen, of the home; two sons, Hal Epperley and his wife Debra, Holdenville, and Craig Epperley and his wife Janie, Denison, Texas; five grandchildren, Shane Epperley and his wife Carol, Moore, Chad Epperley and his wife Kim, Oklahoma City, Scott Epperley and his wife Jennifer, Norman, Brian Epperley and his wife Chandi, Yukon, and Joe Epperley, Ft. Cobb; two brothers, Jimmy Neal "Cy" Epperley and his wife Trish, Shawnee, and Kenneth Boyd "Jerry" Epperley and his wife Vera, Holdenville; one sister, Rose Anne Ford, Spaulding; seven grandchildren, Colby and Travis Scroggins, Payton, Avery, Chelsea, Ryann, and Wyatt Epperley; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Danny Reich, Shane Epperley, Scott Epperley, Brian Epperley, Chad Epperley, and Joe Epperley.
Honorary pallbearers are David Peercy, Robert Smith, Dick Aldridge, Jimmy Moran, and Red Eldridge.
Wanda Epperson
NORMAN – Funeral services for Wanda Epperson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church.
Rev. James Ehrlich is set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Epperson died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was 63.
She was born Dec. 7, 1938 in Wapanucka to George Washington and Lula Mae Turner Bogan.
Epperson graduated from high school in Wapanucka.
She received a B.A. degree from Southeastern State University in Durant.
She went on to attend the University of Oklahoma and received an M.A. from Central State University.
Epperson was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She married Charles Epperson in 1961 in Norman.
In 1970 they moved from Oklahoma City to Norman, where they were in the home building business.
Epperson was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and four brothers.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Tom Epperson of Dallas, Texas and Rodney Carl Epperson of Norman; one daughter, Lori Ann McCurdy of Thornton, Colo.; seven sisters, Eula Mae Lester of Moore, Dessie Judkins and Barbara Taylor, both of Norman, Gladys Thrasher of Chardon, Ohio, Jean Loeffelholz of Wewoka, Mary Jane Cook of Norman, and Georgia Pattison of Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Visition will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at the Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Jimmy Eversole
Funeral services for Jimmy Ray Eversole are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Kennith Jones is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Eversole died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002 at his home in Seminole at the age of 56.
He was born born Dec. 22, 1945 in Chandler to Wes and Mildred (Higgins) Eversole.
He married Dorothy (Bryant) on June 15, 1968 in Seminole.
Eversole worked in the oilfield and was a rancher.
He served in the United States Navy.
He was a Vietnam veteran, and a Creek Tribal member and a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Eversole was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother of St. Louis; his wife of the home; one daughter, Kristie Ann Earls of Seminole; one son, Charles Wesley Eversole of Seminole; four grandchildren; his twin brother, Johnnie Eversole of Maud, one brother, Carl Roundtree of Maud; four grandchildren.
Dollie Faulkner
SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS – Funeral services for Wewoka resident Dollie Faulkner were scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Julie Halstead was set to officiate.
Burial was to follow at City Cemetery under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Faulkner died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville at the age of 80.
She was born April 20, 1921 in Arbala, Texas to Benjamin and Ethel Gray Wood.
She married R.B. Crowson Jr. in Hopkins County, Texas on Aug. 21, 1938.
Faulkner then married Sybil "Pete" Faulkner in 1978.
She was a retired licensed vocational nurse at Hopkins Count Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Faulkner was preceded in death by both husbands, two sisters, two brothers, and twin sons, Harold and Darold Crowson.
She is survived by three sons, Dr. Glenn A. Crowson of Wewoka; Richard Crowson of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Lawrence Crowson of Hopkins, S. C.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Janet Filson
Funeral services for Wewoka resident, Janet Christine Filson, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2002, at First Baptist Church, Wewoka.
Rev. Dan Anderson will officiate.
Viewing the day of the service will be at the church from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Lunch will be served at the church at noon, following the services.
Mrs. Filson died at her home on Monday, July 8, 2002, at the age of 61.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1941, in Napa, Calif., to Delbert Joseph Crouch and Vera Hanson Crouch.
She attended school at Buffalo, Oklahoma; received her B.A. from Oklahoma Baptist University and her Masters Degree from the University of Oklahoma.
She married Max Filson on Nov. 1, 1997, in Wewoka.
She was employed by DHS for 23 years and following her retirement in 1994, she began working as a compliance coordinator for the Davis Correctional Facility, until her failing health caused her to retire again in August, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Max Filson, of the home; five sons and their spouses, Bradley Bryant, Edmond, Bryan and Jan Bryant, Wewoka, Dennis and Nora Bryant, Wewoka, Billy and Michelle Bryant, Wewoka, and Matt and Shannon Pennington, Shawnee; two stepchildren and spouses, Mark and Jana Filson, Edmond, and Kristi and Chris Simpson, Edmond.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chad and Katie Simpson, Kelli Filson, Joshua Bryant, Garrett Bryant, Cole Bryant, Katie and Lane Pennington, and Ashli Bryant Williams.
Pallbearers will be Billy Bryant, Matt Pennington, Bob Hilchey, Delbert Crouch, Mark Filson and Chris Simpson.
Joseph Finley
Funeral services for Joseph Pearly Finley Jr. are scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Joseph Factor is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at the Douglas Family Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Finley died Friday, June 28, 2002 in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 20.
He moved from Cleveland to Maud one year ago.
He was born Feb. 15, 1982 in Cleveland to Joseph Pearly Finley Sr. and Tina Houck.
Finley was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby Hooper Baez and his great-grandmother, Bertha Sherwood.
He is survived by his biological father, Joseph Pearly Finley Sr. of West Virginia; his parents; Tina and Paul Houck of Maud; one brother, Paul Houck Jr.; and two sisters, Mindy Hooper and Tabatha Finley.
Casket bearers are Joel Wilson, Philip Cully, Ben Long, Danny Barb, Paul White Jr., and Edward Sherwood.
Honorary bearers are John McMillian and Al Jazstremski.
