BROKEN ARROW -- Funeral services for former Seminole resident Leslie Farrell "Jake" Hamilton are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Northside Christian Church.
Pastor Bob Brust will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
Hamilton died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at Southcrest Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 74.
He was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Cushing to Glen A. and Mabel (Stillwell) Hamilton.
He graduated from Seminole High School in 1946 and served in the US Navy from 1946-48.
Hamilton participated in the Bikini Island atomic bomb test.
He was employed with Tulsa-based Service Drilling Company for three years after moving to Broken Arrow.
He continued as drilling superintendent for Phillips’ Petroleum’s offshore operations in the North Sea until his retirement in 1989.
He was baptized at First Christian Church in Seminole in 1956 and had been a member of Northside Christian Church since 1998.
He married Betty Sanderson on June 3, 1949, in Seminole; she survives him, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Steve Hamilton, Spring, Texas, and Joe Hamilton, Oklahoma City; one sister, Geraldine Grubb, Broken Arrow; two brothers, Grover Hamilton, Bristow, and Bill Hamilton, Midwest City.
Memorial donations may be sent to Northside Christian Church, 1201 N. Elm, Broken Arrow, 74012.
Kelly Lee Haney
Funeral services for Seminole resident Kelly Lee "Brown" Haney, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hitchitee United Methodist Church in Strothers.
Revs. Mike Harjo and Thomas Morris will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Harjo Family Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Wake services for Haney will be tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Hitchitee United Methodist Church.
Haney died Monday, July 15, 2002 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 42.
He was born to Robert "Bob" Haney and Jo Kay Underwood on Jan. 24, 1960 in Seminole County.
Haney was reared in the Strothers area and attended school at Pleasant Grove.
He was a member of the Hitchitee United Methodist Church.
Haney was preceded in death by his father Robert "Bob" Haney.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jo Kay and J.D. Berryman, Shawnee; two children, Sterling Royce Haney and Colton "Chubby" Haney, both of Toppenish, Wash.; and his brothers and sisters, Steve Haney, Shawnee, Shelly Hall, Oklahoma City, Bobbie Haney, Okmulgee, Andrea Henderson, Shawnee, and Cyd Wood, Oklahoma City.
Pallbearers are Tony Perry, Rick Deer, Joe Deer, Ronnie Harjo, Jerome Isham, Bruce Harjo, and Nathan Harjo.
Honorary pallbearers are Victor Underwood, Tecumseh Underwood, Ted Underwood, Willie Underwood, Jerry Haney, and Ernie Haney.
James ‘Joe Buck’ Harjo
Funeral services for Holdenville resident James R. "Joe Buck" Harjo are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002 at Rock Springs Indian Baptist Church in Sasakwa.
Interment will follow at Rock Springs Church cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville.
Harjo passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2002 in Oklahoma City at the age of 46.
James was born on April 10, 1955 in Talihina to Togie (Att) and Sampson Harjo.
He was raised in Hughes County and attended Jones Academy in Hartshorne.
James worked for the city of Holdenville in the Water Department and recently retired because of his illness.
His father, Sampson Harjo, preceded James in death.
James is survived by one daughter, Nancy Harjo; two sons, James Ray Harjo, Jr., and Steven Harjo, all of Tulsa; his mother, Togie Harjo, Holdenville; one sister, Susie Harjo Clifft, Wewoka; one brother, Jimmy Harjo, Holdenville; three grandchildren, Shilo Harjo, Wewoka, Terrence Harjo, Tulsa, and Ericha Harjo, Tulsa; his grandmother, Liza Harjo, Konawa; one uncle, Franklin Harjo, Konawa; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Neomi Harjo
Home services for Neomi Lee Dixon Harjo were scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday.
She will be moved to Hitchitee United Methodist Church on Sunday at 4 p.m. Wake services will commence at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Mike Svitak and Rev. Mike Harjo officiating.
Pallbearers will be the Seminole Chapter of the Viet Name Veterans.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Auxiliary and Seminole Chapter of Viet Nam Veterans.

Harjo died Thursday, June 13 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 61.
She was born in Bentley on May 6, 1941 to Frank and Frances Jim Dixon.
She was raised in the Strother area and attended Strother and Sequoyah Schools.
Harjo married Charley Harjo were married on June 28, 1960 in Seminole.
She was a lifetime member of the Hitchitee United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
She was also a youth group leader.
Harjo was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and President of the Seminole Chapter Honor Color Guard and Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Gwendolyn Harjo of Glenpool and Cheryl Harjo of Okmulgee; one son, Charles Harjo Jr. of Kiefer; three brothers, Evan Haney, David Haney, and Joe Haney, all of Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her father; her mother; her stepfather, Rev. Vernon Haney; one son, Victor L. Harjo; two sisters, Rose Haney and Elizabeth Perkins; and two brothers, Aaron Dixon and an infant brother, Daniel Haney.
Cordelia Harris
Funeral services for longtime Earlsboro resident Cordelia Harris are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ware Chapel CME Church in Earlsboro.
Rev. Rabon Turner is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Earlsboro Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Harris died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002 at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 91.
She was born June 6, 1905 in Memphis, Tenn.
She married Edward Renzo Harris in 1966 in Seminole. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2002.
Harris attended Ware Chapel CME Church in Earlsboro.
She is survived by one son, Lonnie Jett of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, James Arthur Harris of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Lucille Anderson, Ida Holloway, and Emma of Memphis, Tenn.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tommy Harris
Funeral services for Tommy Dale Harris are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa.

Harris died Monday, May 27, 2002 at Valley View Regional Hospital at the age of 64.
He was born Feb. 10, 1938 at Concho Indian Hospital in El Reno to Thomas W. and Grace Davis Harris.
He graduated from Cully and Sasakwa Schools.
Harris married Judith "Judy" Gonyer in Ada on July 5, 1958.
They lived in the Sasakwa area throughout their married life.
He was employed as a truck driver for J.L. Lewis and retired from Oxy-Cities Service in 1995.
Harris was a member of several antique tractor clubs and the Spaulding Vintage Equipment Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Sharon Griffith of Holdenville and Karen Herrin of Ada; one son, Dale Harris of Ada; three sisters, Arnetta Harjo of Sasakwa, Sue Giles of Holdenville, and Nancy Conley of Wewoka; four brothers, Larry Harris, Charles Harris, and David Harris, all of Holdenville, and Roy Dean Harris of Wewoka; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Larry Crouch, Dale Jesse, Terry Douthit, Grover Taylor, Ray Griffith, and Charles Sisco.
Honorary pallbearers are Jesse Blackburn, Buddy George, Calvin Neely, and Leo Kuestersteffen.
Richard Hastings
EDMOND – Funeral services for Richard Hastings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Waterloo Road Baptist Church.
Interment is to follow at 4 p.m. at Little Cemetery.
Hastings died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the age of 54.
He was born July 8, 1947 in Guymon.
He served in the Vietnam War.
Hastings is survived by his wife, Nina Hastings of Edmond; one son, Brent Mistler of Edmond; two daughters, Paige Mistler of Kansas City, Mo. and Dianna Sporich of Hollister, Mo.; three brothers, Charles Hastings of Onalaska, Wis., Jim Hastings of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bill Hastings of Texarkana, Texas; and five grandsons.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Waterloo Road Baptist Church.
