Funeral services for Robert Harold Johnson, brother of Wewoka resident Gurdon Johnson, were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 29.
The services were held at Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Moore, with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore.
Johnson died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in his home, at the age of 80.
He was born on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, 1922, in Adona, Ark., the sixth of nine children of Robert E. and Arlene Johnson.
He enlisted in the Army and served for 20 years, receiving many commendations, and was decorated for injuries sustained during the Battle of the Bulge.
Johnson worked in civil service for 13 years before retiring in 1974.
He married Norareen Mitchell on March 9, 1946 and was married for 56 years.
Johnson was a member of Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church for several years prior to his death.
He is survived by his wife Norareen, of the home; two sisters, Lee Ella Hisaw, Midwest City, and Betty Sanders, Del City; one brother, Gurdon Johnson, Wewoka; two daughters, Patricia Lynn Turner, Jenks, and Shelly Stringfellow, Moore; and two sons, Danny Johnson, Newalla and Terry Johnson, Oklahoma City.
Johnson is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Steven Johnson
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Steven Kilcrease Johnson, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ministry of Life Church, West of Wewoka.
Revs. Danny Faulkner and Larry Harrison will officiate the services.
Interment will follow at the Stevens Family Cemetery, north of Wewoka, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
A wake service is set for 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Church.
Johnson died at his home on Friday, June 21, 2002, at the age of 44, following a brief illness.
He was born to Charles S. Johnson and Sue Ann Kilcrease on Aug. 31, 1957 in Wewoka.
Johnson was a lifetime member of Seminole County and the Wewoka area.
He married Vicki Allen in 1995 in Wewoka.
Johnson retired from the construction industry in 2000, and was a member of the National Guard, and a Tallahassee Band member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles S. "Jiggs" Johnson and Sue Ann Johnson; one daughter, Stacey LeAnn Johnson on Oct. 4, 1999; one nephew, Davey Lee Jacobs; his grandparents; and two uncles.
Johnson is survived by his wife, Vicki, of the home; two sons, Louis Ballard, Jonathan Allen, both of the home; one daughter, Nicole Allen, of the home; three brothers, Charles S. Johnson, Unalaska, Alaska, Lewis Johnson, Wewoka, Stanley Johnson, Sasakwa; and four sisters, Betsy Castell, Seminole, Corrine Postoak, Sasakwa, Susan Faulkner, Wewoka, and Mary Ellen Jacobs, Wewoka.
Pallbearers are William Johnson, Jeremy Postoak, Charles Jacobs, Houston Jacobs, Richard Jacobs, and George Franks.
Honorary pallbearers are Stanley Johnson, Lewis Johnson, Charles Johnson III, and David Postoak.
Raymond Joiner
Graveside funeral services for former Seminole resident Raymond Newton Joiner were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Pryor Cemetery near Stuart.
Rev. Meredith Robinson was to officiate.
Services were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Joiner died Monday, May 6, 2002 in Holdenville at the age of 88.
He was born Dec. 29, 1913 in Yell County, Ark.
He was a resident of Oklahoma most of his life. He was raised in the Checotah and Seminole areas.
Joiner served in the United States Army with the Seventh Army Air Corps in Guam during World War II.
He married Nowasa Jackson in Durant on April 21, 1968.
He worked as a fireman in Wewoka and was a license examiner for 31 years for the Oklahoma Department of Safety before retiring in 1982.
Joiner was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of National Rifle Association.
He had lived in Holdenville for the past 34 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Thedie Joiner; three brothers, Willie Joiner, Grady Joiner, and Delbert Joiner; and two sisters, Elsie Moore and Ruby Robinson.
Joiner is survived by his wife, Nowasa of the home; one son, Raymond J. Joiner of Seminole; one daughter, Theda Joiner of Holdenville, three grandsons; and two sisters, Anne Looney of Alabama and Bernice Webb of Tecumseh.
Fleeda Jones
WEWOKA — Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident, Fleeda Marie Jones, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, at Stout Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Darrell Seeley will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Jones, 87, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, in her daughter’s home in Choctaw.
She was born July 10, 1915 in Scipio, Pittsburg County, to Francies Henry Franklin and Iva Blanche (McKinney) Franklin.
Jones moved to Wewoka in 1926 when she was 11 years old and grew up in the community.
She was a 1934 graduate of Wewoka High School.
On May 4, 1935, she married Freddie Lee Jones, who was stationed in Wewoka in the CCC (Civil Construction Corp.) camp; he preceded her in death on July 20, 1994.
Jones is also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Paulyne Criswell, and by her only brother, James M. Franklin.
She worked many years as a seamstress with Oklahoma Clothiers and Big Yank, before becoming a certified nurses’ aide and working at Wewoka Hospital.
She worked with her husband in Del City Schools where he was chief custodian until he retired. She then returned to Wewoka and worked as custodian for Wewoka Middle School.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Alan Wilkens, Choctaw, and one son, Freddie Lee Jones Jr., Wewoka; one grandson, Kevin W. Yeager, Addison, Texas; and two sisters, J. Franklin Hardgrove, Wewoka, and Edra Mable Hopkins, Shawnee.
The family requests memorials be made to Midwest City Davita Dialysis Center.
Nancy Jones
OKEMAH – Funeral services for former Cromwell resident Nancy Annice Cain Jones are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Schumacher Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Dwight Gonzales is set to officiate.
Interment is to follow in Schoolton Cemetery under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home.
Jones died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002 at the age of 72.
She was born in Oklahoma City on Dec. 12, 1929 to Paul and Marie Alderson Cain.
She had lived in the Cromwell area for 22 years before moving to Oklahoma City last year.
Jones married Edwin Jeff Jones on May 18, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Guy Wilson of Oklahoma City and John Farrell of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Jimmy Guy Cain of Oklahoma City and Willie Cain of Oxford, Miss.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Jones was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Phyllis Kaye Hagger.

Victoria Judy
SHAWNEE – Funeral services for Victoria Grace Judy, the infant daughter of a Seminole resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Larry Goins is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.
Judy died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002 at an Oklahoma City hospital.
She was born Dec. 6, 2001 in Oklahoma City to Richard Strickland of Seminole and Amy Hartman of Shawnee.
She is survived by her parents; grandparents, Randy and Billa Judy of Shawnee and Dwight and Teena Roberts of Seminole; great-grandparents, Bill and Theony Slaughter, Belva Phillips and Glenn and Sue Judy, all of Shawnee, and Shirley Baker of Seminole; and several other relatives.
Margaret Kaska
No services are planned at this time for Seminole resident Margaret Kaska.
Kaska died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 73.
She was born to Raymond Axline Voorhies and Angeline (Kurts) Voorhies on Nov. 23, 1926 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
She married Maurice Kaska on Jan. 4, 1945 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Kaska moved to Seminole from Iowa three years ago.
She worked in the nursing field as a CAN and Nurse’s Aid, and was of Catholic faith.
Kaska was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice Kaska; and one grandson, Eddie.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Kaska, South Dakota, and John Kaska, Seminole; two daughters, Carolyn Millard, Holdenville and Barbara Miller, Fairfield, Calif.; one brother, Frank Voorhies, Hesperia, Calif.; two sisters, Catherine Divine, Escalon, Calif. and Valeria Royce, Wisconsin; and three grandchildren.
