Leatherman died Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada at the age of 66.
He was born Jan. 1, 1936 in Carr City to Walter Edmund and Vivian Viola (Gray) Leatherman.
He married Lora Ann (Smith) on Nov. 20, 1958 in Seminole.
She preceded Leatherman in death on March 23, 1989.
He was owner and operator of Gene’s Speedwash.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Shawnee.
Leatherman was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by one daughter, Melinda Ann Timmons of Seminole; one grandchild; two brothers, Walter M. Leatherman of Toledo, Iowa and Jerry D. Leatherman of Deming, N.M.; and two sisters, Nellie E. Hays and Nancy M. Hays, both of Deming, N.M.
Casket bearers are Joe Hays, Curtis Hays, Craig Hays, Kenneth Hays, Tim Hartman, and Don Hartman.
Darrell Roy Lee

Lee died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at his home in Seminole at the age of 39.
He was born Dec. 28, 1962 in Clinton to Roy and Lillian J. (Piearcy) Lee.
He married Kay (Gore) Lee on March 8, 1980 in Shawnee. She survives him of the home.
Lee was a former employee at Bill Weems Welding and Willie’s Salvage.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Wayne Lee; one sister, Tippy James; and his mother.
He is survived by his father of Seminole; his wife of the home in Seminole; one son, Billy Jack Lee of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Kay Lee and Lillian Ruth Lee, both of the home; three brothers, Don Lee of Oklahoma City, Ronnie Lee of Lindsay, and Thomas Lee of Ardmore; three sisters, Jeanie Holder of Ardmore, Sue Castle of Durant, and Theresa Hughes of Shawnee.
Casket bearers are Danny Choate, Andrew Harjo, Mike White, Michael Gore, Tommy Monks, and Bill Davis.

John Lee

Lee died Saturday, June 8, 2002 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center at the age of 74.
He was a lifelong Seminole resident.
He was born July 14, 1927 in Kinmundy, Ill. to John C. Lee and Atta Mae (McClaine) Lee-Yates.
Lee attained the rank of E-7 in the United States Navy, where received a Good Conduct Medal, Third Award for Services Ending Nov. 15, 1964, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal (second award).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; and one brother, Bob Lee of Tulsa.
Ruth Lee

Lee died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Seminole Estates at the age of 94.
She was born May 19, 1907 in Hazel to John William and Martha Alice (Hizer) White.
She married Luther Frank Lee on Jan. 8, 1925. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1978.
Lee was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Seminole.
She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Roy Aubrey Lee and Troy Audrey Lee; and two grandsons, Harold and Lee Roy Haworth.
Lee is survived by three daughters, Alice Haworth of Noble, Gladys Brinsfield of Seminole and Freda Stephens of Guymon; grandchildren, James and Judy Stephens of Canyon, Texas, Rick Stephens of Canyon, Texas, Kenney and Cheryl Stephens of Perryton, Texas, Dale and Patti Stephens of Guymon, Gerry and Glenna Stephens of Balko, Frank and Jan Brinsfield of Houston, Texas, Johnny Mack Brinsfield Sr. of Seminole, Judith and Jerry Jones of Seminole, Mary and David Culver of Springfield, Mo., Ann and James Jackson of Norman, and Don and Ginger Hawroth of Waukomis; 38 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.

Lehman died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 88.
She was born July 11, 1913 in Wewoka to Charles C. and Beulah (Carruth) Crouch.
She married David "Dutch" Lehman in Bakersfield, Calif. in 1989.
Lehman was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; three sisters; and her husband in 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Dodd of Tulsa and Jack Dodd of Greenville, Tenn.; one daughter, Lynn Teague of Blanchard; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Willie ‘Bill’ Lehman

Lehman died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at his home at the age of 85.
He was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Sacred Heart to David "Dave" and Anna (Diester) Lehman.
He married Cecelia Nona on Feb. 7, 1939 in Sacred Heart.
Lehman was a heavy equipment operator for Pottawatomie County.
He was also a farmer and worked in the oil field.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Lehman was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on March 14, 1985; two sons, Billy Ray Lehman and Robert Lehman; and six brothers and sisters.
He is survived by one daughter, Matilda Silas of Konawa; two sons, Tommy Lehman of Ada and David Lehman of Konawa; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was born March 4, 1932 in Seminole County to Jonah and Mollie Harjo Thomas.
Lena is survived by her husband, Robert Lena; four daughters, Janice Lena of Tecumseh, Lorene Black of Seminole, Christine Lena of Konawa, and Jennifer Lena of Oklahoma City; eight sons, Bobby Lena of Glenpool, Jonas Lena, Dale Lena, and Jay Lena, all of Wewoka, David Lena of Okemah, Ronnie Lena of Sapulpa, Earl Lena of Okeechobee, Fla., and Mel Lena of Shawnee; 39 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Johnson of Wewoka and Lottie Coody of Hollywood, Fla.; and one brother, Ramsey Thomas of Lawton.
Pallbearers are Oscar Lena Bunner, Glen Lena, Frankie Lena Jr., Charles Ray Merritt, Glen Gibbs, and Ricky Woods.
Honorary pallbearers are Dan Simpson, Roy Sisco, Arnold Melton and Frank Streater.
Ruby Fritz Yarbrough Lewin
Ruby Fritz Yarbrough Lewin, 88, former Seminole resident, passed away at Clearlake, Calif., Monday, May 6, 2002 of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Okla., under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Mrs. Yarbrough-Lewin was a long-time resident of Seminole and had moved to California two years ago to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was born in Madison, Neb. on Nov. 15, 1914 to William and Delia Fritz.
Her husband of 35 years, Ollie E. Yarbrough, predeceased her in 1974. She later married Cecil Lewin of Shawnee.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings, three brothers, Bud, Dale, and Don Fritz; and five sisters, Florence Scroggins, Nell Dykes, Lois James, Margaret Wise and Frances McDonald; and one grandson.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: her daughter and her husband, Betty and Joe Taylor of Clearlake, Calif.; and her three sons and their wives, Carl and Nancy Trotter of Grants Pass, Ore., Eddie and Linda Yarbrough of Benicia, Calif., and Tom and Gail Yarbrough of Port Hadlock, Wash.; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
