Funeral services for former Seminole resident Allene (Rowe) Pennybaker Prentice Limb, were held at 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Davis.
Rev. James Densman officiated the services.
Interment followed at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, under the direction of Krien Funeral Home of Davis.
Limb died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Norman Regional Hospital.
She was born John W. and Pauline (Sewell) Rowe on June 13, 1911 in Davis.
Limb moved with her family as a child to California for a short period of time before moving back to Davis where she attended school.
She married Oliver LeRoy Pennybaker on May 31, 1936 in Elk City, and the couple established their first home there.
The couple moved to Seminole in 1941 and lived here until Mr. Pennybaker entered the military service during World War II, where they spent two years in Texarkana, Texas.
They returned to Seminole and continued living there until Mr. Pennybaker’s death in 1973.
During this time, Limb was employed for many years as a sales clerk for both Sharpe’s Department store and Gibson’s Discount Center.
She married Homer Prentice in 1975 and moved to Allen where she lived until Mr. Prentice’s death in 1985.
Limb later married Virgil Limb in 1990 and once again returned to Seminole to live.
After Mr. Limb’s death in 1996, she moved to Norman to be near her family where she lived until her death.
Limb was preceded in death by her parents; her three husbands; one sister, Alma Dora Haynes; and two brothers, Raymond and Ralph Rowe.
She is survived by one son, Anthony "Tony" Pennybaker, Norman; and two sisters, Eva Brown and Ruth Russell, both of Davis.
Pallbearers were David L. Pennybaker, Jerry D. Pennybaker, Robert L. Pennybaker, Raymond D. Rowe, Bill E. Russell, Johnny Ross Russell, and Dale F. Crowder.
David Limes
Graveside funeral services for David Cameron Limes were held at Cummings Cemetery.
Pastor Jesse Bufford and Rev. Wayne Taylor officiate.
Services were under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud.
Limes died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 41.
He was born Sept. 23, 1960 in Oklahoma City to Barney J. and Paula (Goss) limes.
He was a truck driver and a member of Maud Trinity Baptist Church.
Limes was preceded in death by his grandparents, O.L. and Georgia (Howell) Limes and Mack and Faye (Burch) Goss.
He is survived by his parents of Oklahoma City; a special friend, Jennifer Greeson of Oklahoma City; one sister, Suzy Limes Freeny of Austin, Texas; and one brother, Britton Limes, M.D. of West Stockbridge, Ma.
Clora Littrell
PRAGUE – Funeral services for Clora A. Littrell, the mother of a Seminole resident, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel in Prague.
Doug Arnold of the Wanette Church of Christ was to officiate.
The service was to be followed by cremation.
Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services.
Littrell died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 and her home in Paden at the age of 81.
She was born March 4, 1920 in Schoolton to D.H. and Ida (Graham) Argo.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Paden.
Littrell married Forrest Claude Littrell on Dec. 24, 1936 in Bearden.
He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Rocky Dean Heinzig.
Littrell is survived by three daughters, Darla Heinzig of Seminole, Carlyn Allen of San Antonio, and Dena Ellis of Paden; two sisters, Cordia Carter and Fois Argo, both of Wewoka; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Julianna Lollar
Funeral services for Julianna Mae Lollar are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Stout Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial is to follow at Sand Creek Cemetery.
Lollar died from injuries suffered in an accident at the age of 34.
She was born March 6, 1967 in Inglewood, Calif. to Clayton and Pauline Lollar.
She had been a resident of Wewoka since 1988 and was employed at Lawson’s Dinner in Wewoka.
Lollar was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Clayton Farris and Matthew Dillon Farris, both of the home.
Pauline Lollar
Funeral services for Sasakwa native and former Wewoka resident Pauline J. Lollar, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Tecumseh.
Rev. Larry Chesser of Gleaners Holiness Church of Wewoka will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at the Holdenville Cemetery, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Lollar died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 in Shawnee at the age of 79.
She was born to Isaac "Ike" and Eva (Caudill) Foster on Jan. 6, 1923 in Sasakwa.
Lollar was reared in Sasakwa, and lived in Wetumka and Antioch, Calif.
She married Wayne Lollar on May 9, 1949 in Meade, Kan.
Lollar lived most of her married life in Wewoka, and lived the last two years in Tecumseh.
She was a homemaker, and along with her husband, owned and operated Lollar’s Pest Control in Wewoka.
Lollar is survived by her husband, Wayne Lollar, of the home; one daughter, Judy Landry, Shawnee; two sons, Jerry Jackson, Wewoka, and David Lollar, Shawnee; one sister, Gladys Kirkland, Okmulgee; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Betty Jo Long
Word has been received that services for lifelong Seminole resident Betty Jo Stoops Long were held in Winter Park, Fla.
Interment followed in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Fla. under the direction of Baldwin-Fairchild Oviedo Chapel of Oviedo, Fla.
Long died Thursday, April 11, 2002 in Winter Park, Fla. at the age of 72.
She was born Oct. 24, 1929 in Seminole to Mac William and Bertha Frances Stoops.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Eastern Star.
Long attended Seminole High School and East Central University.
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma.
She lived in both Seminole and Winter Park, Fla. Long was unable to return to Seminole in recent time because of her declining health.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Long is survived by her husband, Clayton of Winter Park, Fla.; three daughters, Jeri Simpson of Orlando, Fla., Kathryn Toutolmin of Concord, Calif., and Debra S. Ramsay of Stuart, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Robert Lovelace
Graveside funeral services for Robert Vernon Lovelace are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Rev. Carl Whitfield is set to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Lovelace died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at Pioneer Nursing Home at the age of 70.
He moved to Seminole two years ago from Midwest City.
He was born Dec. 26, 1931 in Phoenix, Ariz. to Virgil Franklin and Evelyn (Disch) Lovelace.
Lovelace married Deloris Sue (Williams). She preceded him in death.
He retired from Tinker Air Force Base.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served from 1951 until 1955.
Lovelace was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one sister, DeLyce Jane Branscum.
He is survived by three sons, Terry Lovelace of Edmond, Jeff Lovelace of Oklahoma City, and Robert Lovelace of Irving, Texas; one brother, Richard Albert Lovelace of Oklahoma City; one sister, Ellen Marie Copeland of Macomb; and six grandchildren.
Joan Lowe
Funeral services for Joan Beatrice Lowe are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Hitchitee United Methodist Church.
Rev. Stephen Floch and Fred Lowe are set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Hitchitee Church Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Lowe died Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at St. Anthony Hospital at the age of 74.
She moved to Hughes County in 1942 and lived in Yeager the last few years.
She was born Nov. 23, 1927 in Cromwell to Jimmie and Nellie (Yeager) Bell.
Lowe married Tom Lowe on Dec. 31, 1988. He preceded her in death.
She was a retired truck driver and nurse’s aide.
She attended Lamar Schools.
Lowe was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Murphy of Shawnee; two sisters, Wanda Bounds of Konawa and Eleanor Waterman of Shawnee; and three grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Eddie Leader, James Leader, Raymond Leader, David Jackson, Charlie Bell Jr. and James Nicholson.
Honorary bearers are Orville Rose, Harold Rose and Richard Little.
