Funeral services for James E. Orrell are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvey Road Baptist Church.
Rev. Robert Hightower is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Orrell died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 57.
He was born Sept. 30, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tenn. to Everett and Estelle (Burson) Orrell.
He married Vera Jean (Hoskison) on July 12, 1992 in Seminole.
Orrell was a retired truck driver.
He attended Harvey Road Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Orrell is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, James Orrell of Seminole and Brian Orrell of Hot Springs, Ark.; three daughters, Sherri Cruz and Lisa Mejia, both of Hot Springs, Ark. and Melinda Diaz of Danville, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Olivia Webster of Seminole; one sister, Dora Lee Hughes of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and 12 grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Brandon Heaton, Hobbie Romine, Eric Hilton, Tim Porter, Patrick Campbell and David Heaton.
Honorary bearers are Bill Lewis, Jerry McClellan, Jerry McGehee, James Hughes and Tom Morton.
Marcelline Overstreet
Marcelline "Marcy" Teresa Overstreet, aged 35, died May 20, 2002 at the Providence campus of Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, after courageously battling a rare lipid disorder and resultant coronary artery disease.
Overstreet was born to Roy and Pauline Overstreet on March 23, 1967, in Seattle.
She was well traveled, spending her early childhood in Seattle, Halifax, Nova Scotia and Gaithersburg, Md.
In 1985, she graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colo.
Overstreet attended Colorado State University at Fort Collins, but returned to Seattle following the circuitous trail of her parents and siblings.
She graduated from the University of Washington’s School of Social Work, earning both Bachelors and Masters Degrees.
From an early age, Overstreet knew she was destined to live a short life and she loved and lived with vigor, family members said.
She is survived by her father and mother; her sister Frederica Overstreet of Seattle, Wash.; and her brother Roy Overstreet, II of Bellingham, Wash.
During her career as a social worker, she was employed at Evergreen Treatment Center, and most recently at Western State Hospital at Steilacoom, Washington.
She was loved by many among all walks of life. Her courage, sense of adventure and dedication to others were peerless. Her loss is greatly mourned.
A memorial service was held in the chapel of the Providence campus of Swedish Hospital on Thursday, May 23 at 2 p.m.
A mass of the Christian Rite of Burial will be said at Saint Stephen Catholic Church in Holdenville on June 3, 2002.
Sandra Parris
Graveside funeral services for Sandra Lee Parris were scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Parris died Saturday, May 18, 2002 at The Lakes Nursing Home in Oklahoma City at the age of 83.
She was born Dec. 24, 1918 in Wewoka to Harry and Mattie (Young) Burnell.
She married Jesse Brady Parris on April 6, 1945 in the Methodist Church in Wewoka.
Parris was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Wewoka.
She was the 1996 Senior Citizen Domino Champion and attended Heritage House activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Oct. 7, 1995; and one son, Tommy Parris on Nov. 20, 1989.
Parris is survived by one daughter, Jana Lockwood of Oklahoma City and one brother, Gene Burrell of Wewoka.
Ruth (Kerr) Parrish
MAUD -- Graveside funeral services for Ruth (Kerr) Parrish are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Cummings Cemetery.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate; burial will be under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Parrish died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at Valley View Hospital, Ada. She was 79 years old.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Ada, to Robert Terry and Ollie V. (Hill) Kerr.
She was a former Maud resident and a homemaker.
She was a registered nurse, working at hospitals in Ardmore and Holdenville before her retirement in 1984.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She married Leroy J. Parrish on June 6, 1956, in Shawnee; he died Feb. 13, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one son, Jay Scott, in 1957.
Survivors include one daughter, Carole VanMeter, Ada; one sister, Helen Roy, Georgetown, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Roy Payne
Funeral services for Roy Levi Payne are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Burial is to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Payne died Friday, April 19, 2002 at Valley View Regional Hospital at the age of 78.
He was a lifelong Konawa resident, born April 19, 1924 in Konawa to Randolph and Maudie (Skiver) Payne.
He married Ozie Brashier on May 26, 1943 in Konawa.
Payne was a social worker at the Tucker Nursing Home in Konawa until his retirement.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Konawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brohters.
Payne is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Kenneth Payne of Konawa; one daughter, Linda Brock of Stratford; seven grandchldren; and one brother, Rudolph Payne of Oregon.
Casket bearers will be his grandsons, May Payne, Mitchell Payne, Monty Payne, Bryant Thomas, Duane Brock, Tony Brock and Roy Brock.
Billie Pennock
Funeral services for Billie Ruth Pennock, the mother of Seminole resident Billy Tiger Jr., are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Indian Baptist Church in Shawnee.
Sandy Harjo, Wayne Wilson, and Victor Cope are set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Wakolee Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Pennock died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002 in Oklahoma City at the age of 51.
She was born Aug. 23, 1951 in Clinton to Bill and Genevieve (Meeks) Pennock.
She married Bill Tiger in 1973.
Pennock was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two children, Billy Tiger Jr. of Seminole and Crystal Tiger of Shawnee; two grandsons; three sisters, Barbara Pennock and Laura Jean Pennock, both of Shawnee, and Patty Ann Harjo of Seminole; and three brothers, Robert Pennock of Shawnee Mission, Kan., William and Donna Pennock of Cushing, and Richard Pennock of Stroud.
Christopher Permetter
Funeral services for Earlsboro resident Christopher Wayne Permetter are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor Brian Payne will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Earlsboro Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Permetter died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at Unity Health Center-South, at the age of 21.
He was born to John Earl Permetter, Sr. and Marilyn Slagle on March 27, 1980 in Watonga.
Permetter was a 1999 graduate of Earlsboro High School, who loved watching wrestling, basketball, football and could draw very well.
One brother, Tommy Slagle, preceded him in death.
Permetter is survived by his parents, of the home; two sisters, Stacie Permetter, Earlsboro, and Beverly Cooks, Macomb; four brothers, John Earl Permetter, Jr., Earlsboro, Tarron Permetter, Earlsboro, Gary Permetter, Shawnee, and Randy Talton, Shawnee; two grandmothers, Peggy Lindsey, and Rosa Lee Permetter, both of Earlsboro; and one niece.
Edward Taylor
Graveside services for Seminole resident Edward Elwood Taylor are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Little Cemetery.
Services will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Taylor died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at Mercy Health Center at the age of 57.
He was born to Willy Taylor and Suzie (McCormick) Taylor on March 14, 1945 in Lansing N.C.
Taylor moved to Seminole 15 years ago from Ada, and was a retired employee of Trader Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Taylor is survived by one son, Danny Taylor, Chicago, Ill.; one step-son, Tony Vasquez, Ada; two daughters, Diana Taylor and Ashley Taylor, both of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Herman Taylor, Highpoint, N.C. and Harley Taylor, Lansing, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Ann Baldwin, Wost Jefferson, N.C. and Wilma Loe Cowan, Cumpler, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
