Funeral services for Seminole native William R. "Rudy" Proctor are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday.
Interment is to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary.
Proctor died Sunday, July 28, 2002 following a short illness. He was 72.
He was born Dec. 23, 1929 in Seminole to Ben and Beulah Proctor.
He retired in 1985 from the United States Postal Service.
Proctor is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol of the home; four sons, Ben Proctor and Greg Collett, both of Oklahoma City, Bill Proctor of Bethany, and Lee Proctor of Breggs; one daughter, Kammy Overtuff of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Rene Riley, Betty Westbrook, and Jean Pryor, all of Jacksonville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thelma Puckett
TECUMSEH Funeral services for Seminole resident Thelma Puckett are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Richard Gay is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
Puckett died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81.
She was born Aug. 10, 1921 in Winston County, Ala. to William Asbery and Nannie Lee (Pickelsimer) Payne.
She was born and raised in Alabama.
Puckett moved to Oklahoma with her husband and daughter at the end of World War II, living in Seminole and Prague for a number of years before moving to Shawnee.
In May of 1942, she married P.H. Puckett in Alabama. He preceded her in death in April of 1971.
She was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper and babysitter for many families.
Puckett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Patricia Puckett; a son, David Puckett; two sisters, Lilly Payne Sams and Martha Alice Payne; and five brothers, James Burbon Payne, Sylvester Allen Payne, Emmett Alton Payne, Alvice Estill Payne, and Quellen Rueben "Ted" Payne.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Gunn of Oklahoma City and Cindy Cook of Bethel; her twin sister, Velma Smith of Jasper, Ala.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Ruth Qualls
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Ruth Qualls are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Jess Powers is set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Qualls died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville at the age of 79.
She was born on June 21, 1923 in Paden to James Lester and Artie Wilson Sikes.
She attended school at VanZant near Paden.
Qualls married Robert Qualls on Jan. 16, 1945 in Arkansas and they returned to this area in 1991 from Merril, Ore.
Her husband preceded her in death on July 11, 1997.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Sikes; and two sisters, Gladys Seaton and Lillian Marlor.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Cardwell of Wewoka; three sons, Wayne Clifton of Sasakwa, James Qualls of Sutter, Ill., and Don Qualls of Wewoka; and one brother, Wayne Sikes of Drumright; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Cardwell, David Qualls, Landon Qualls, James Qualls, Jimmy Qualls and Don Qualls.
B.C. Quary
Funeral services for B.C. Quary are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague.
Rev. Jim Eastep is set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
Quary died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at his home in Prague at the age of 68.
He was born on June 7, 1933 in Logan County to Sidney W. and Myrta Bell (Thompson) Quary.
He had lived in Prague since 1935 and was a retired roofer.
Quary attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Paden.
He married Helen Marie Whitehead on Oct. 25, 1954 in Rapid City, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jackie Wayne; and three sisters, Mildred Morrison, Letha Holder and Mary Bell Praytor.
Quary is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Terry Glen Quary of Chandler, Ariz.; one daughter, Nancy Jane Kerr of Prague; one stepdaughter, Karen Alice of Seminole; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step-great-grandchild; six brothers, Calvin Quary, Ed Quary, John Quary, Henry Quary, and Benny Quary, all of Prague, and Frank Quary of Stroud; four sisters, Margaret Cochran of Stroud, Cora Nell Eastep of Paden, and Norma Austin and Pearl Lopez, both of Prague.
Nancy Ramage
Graveside funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Nancy Pauline Ramage are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery.
Rev. Neil Thompson is set to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Ramage died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at Norman Regional Hospital at the age of 84.
She was born Feb. 11, 918 in Texas to Huke and Ethel Eley.
She attended Holdenville Schools and graduated in 1936.
Ramage married Hugh B. Ramage in Holdenville on Dec. 19, 1942.
The couple moved to Wewoka and lived there for 55 years.
She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association, Garden Clubs, and the First Christian Church.
Ramage retired from Security State Bank in the early 1970s and worked with her husband in the Wewoka Flower Shop and the Wewoka Tag Agency until his retirement.
She is survived by one son, John Ramage of Wewoka; and one sister, Cathryn Ball of Holdenville.
Pallbearers are Eddie Colbert, Cletus Colbert, Fred Laquement, John Norman, Al Beaver, and Phillip Brown.
Clarence Red Ramsey

He was born July 28, 1922 in Uniontown, Kans. To Robert Clarence and Lona (Giddeon) Ramsey.
He grew up in Uniontown and graduated from Uniontown High School where he participated in track and basketball.
Ramsey was in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany and served under the command of Patton.
He married Thorea Jane Comstock on May 24, 1943 in Fort Scott, Kans.
They moved to Oklahoma City in 1949 where he worked several jobs at a time to support his family.
Ramsey retired from Dolese after 20 years.
He and his wife moved near Seminole to live in the country and lived there for 20 years, before moving back to Oklahoma City in 1994.
He raised and sold Rat Terrier dogs and Jack Russell terrier dogs for several years.
Ramsey was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by three daughters, Ronda Hill of Seminole, Susan Zimmerman of Yukon, and Debbie Licastro of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
