Lillian Missouri (Tatum) Betcher
Graveside services for Lillian Missouri (Tatum) Betcher will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Moran Cemetery in Valliant. Harold Stanley will officiate the ceremony. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.
Lillian Missouri (Tatum) Betcher died Oct. 29, 2002 in Broken Bow. She was 63.
Lillian was born March 23, 1939 in Valliant to James Noah Tatum and Ula (Tidmore) Tatum and had lived most of her life in McCurtain County.
Lillian loved birdwatching, quilting and crocheting and was famous for her hugs and kisses and homemade biscuits.
She is survived by one daughter, Sheila White of Fort Towson; three sons, James Crumpler of Bedford, Ind., Shawn Crumpler of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Michael Crumpler of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Willa Mae Stanley of Texarkana, Texas, Ellen Harrington of Broken Bow and Joyce Carter, also of Broken Bow; two brothers, Ben Tatum of Broken Bow and Ray Tatum of Bald Knob, Ark.; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Inez Claborne
Services for Inez Claborne will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bill Darrough Pavilion at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Mr. Jesse Morton will officiate the ceremony. Internment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Inez Claborne died Oct. 26, 2002 in Hugo. She was 75.
Inez Claborne was born Jan. 18, 1927 to Joe and Susan (Roebuck) Riggs in Soper. She married Gene Claborne in April of 1946 in Arkansas.
She has lived in Hugo for the past 55 years after moving here from Soper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Claborne and one granddaughter.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Sue Deupree of Hugo and Bennie Griggs of Hugo, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Eula Faye Mathes
Services for Eula Faye Mathes will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. The Revs. James Leland Burkett and Jerry Cooper will officiate the ceremony. Internment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
Eula Faye Mathes, formerly of Hugo, died Oct. 23, 2002 in Chickasha. She was 81.
Mrs. Mathes was born March 24, 1921 in Hugo to Floyd Gray and Effie (Forbus) Gray.
Eula married Earl M. Mathes July 30, 1939 in Hugo after a three week courtship. Earl always said his only regret was not marrying Eula on their first date. They were married for 61 years, prior to Earl’s death.
Mrs. Mathes was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hugo. Eula was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, reading, collecting butterflies and lighthouses and owned and operated Mother Goose Daycare for 20 years.
Due to Earl’s failing health, they moved to Chickasha in March of 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, on Sept. 29, 2000; one son, Rickey Earl Mathes in 1967; one daughter; Margaret Jackson in 1992; four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: The Rev. Lois Evelyn & the Rev. T.C. Burkett of Phoenix, Lillian Ruth & Dwight Brandon of Chickasha, Vickey Lynn & Eddie Mack of Soper and Pamela Gayle & Tom Edmonds of Davis; one sister, Pat Freeman of Hugo; nine grandchildren: Vee Michelle Burkett of Phoenix, Crystal Brandon of Norman, Jeramey & Alicia Mack of Soper; Clay Mack, Kelly Mack & Hilory Mack, all of Soper, Tucker Franks, Mason Franks & T.J. Edmonds, all of Davis; and one great-grandson, Bryce Mack of Soper.

Emma Lee Mitchell
Services for Emma Mitchell will be Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002 in the Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Massey will officiate and burial will follow in the Gay Cemetery.
Emma, 65, died Oct. 22, 2002 in Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City.
A member of the Antioch Baptist Church, Emma is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Mitchell of Gay, Okla.; eight sons: Billy Ray Mitchell, Jr., Buford Mitchell, Los Angeles; Otis McIntosh, Noble, Okla., Alvis Diab, Gay, Okla., Billy Mitchell III, Alexandria, Va., George Anthony and Gregory Mitchell, Riverside, Calif., Donald Ray Harper, Hugo, Okla.; four daughters: Debra Gail Green, Gay, Okla., Gwen Mitchell, Palm Dale, Calif., Phyllis Mitchell, Irving, Texas, Wanda Jefferson, Paris, Texas; four brothers: Robert Crenshaw, Tom, Okla., Leon Crenshaw, Anadarko, Okla, Ollie B. Petty, Commerce, Texas, Everett Crenshaw, Burns Flatt, Okla.; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one aunt and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rogan Funeral Home of Hugo will direct the services.
Curtis Fulton
Services for Curtis Fulton will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. General James will officiate the ceremony. Internment will follow at the Lukfata Cemetery in Broken Bow.
Curtis Fulton, of Wright City, died Nov. 16, 2002 at the Parkview Nursing Center in Valliant. He was 90.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Bertha Fulsom of Wright City, his daughter Patsy Rambo of Wright City, seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Johnny Scott
Services for Johnny Scott will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Boswell First Baptist Church. Internment will follow at the Restland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Boswell.
Johnny Scott died Nov. 17, 2002 in Boswell. He was 65.
Morris John Scott was born in Boswell Aug. 29, 1937 to Ray and Rachel (Stevenson) Scott. He married Lometa Stingley Nov. 9, 1953 in the Boswell Methodist Church. Johnny was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boswell. He was a rancher and life-long resident of Boswell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Scott and his mother, Rachel York.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Lometa Scott of Boswell; two sons, Joe Bill Scott and wife, Delma of Chelsea and Paul David Scott and wife, Vicki of Boswell; one daughter, Rachel Lynn Evans and husband Terry of Chelsea; three sisters, Myra McCormic of Sherman, Texas; and Icel Ferguson and Frances Carter of Texas; five grandchildren, Brandy Williams, Jennifer Scott, Scott Evans, John Paul Scott and Katie Scott; and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Williams, Clay Williams and Emily Williams.
