Graveside services for Austin Riley Stafford, infant son of Wewoka residents James and Jennie Stafford, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Holdenville Cemetery.
Services will be under the direction of Stout Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Tommy Azlin will officiate the services.
Stafford died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 at Unity Health Center North in Shawnee.
He was born to James (Jim) and Jennie (Roulston) Stafford on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 in Shawnee.
Stafford is survived by his parents, of the home; two brothers, Tyler James Stafford and Swade Carter Stafford; one sister, Taylor Jo Adams; his maternal grandparents, Hiram and Jo Roulston, Sasakwa; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Shirley Stafford, Wewoka; his maternal great-grandfather, Lester Byerly, Spaulding; and his paternal great-grandmother, Minnie Prince, Wewoka.
Harold Stanberry
CENTRAHOMA – Graveside funeral services for former Seminole County resident Harold Junior Stanberry are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Centrahoma Cemetery.
Michael Stanberry is set to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Stanberry died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002 at Segoville, Texas at the age of 60.
He was born Feb. 15, 1941 in Centrahoma to Harold and Thelma (Heck) Stanberry.
He married Shawntay Stanberry.
Stanberry was a welder.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife in 1987; and five brothers.
He is survived by his mother of Wolf; two sons, David and Mark Stanberry, both of Fairfield, Calif.; two daughters, Cathy Jo Stanberry and Tracy Rivera, both of Fairfield, Calif.; two brothers, Ron and Michael Stanberry, both of Wolf; one sister, Sherry Doyon of Wolf; and eight grandchildren.
Erma Stephens
OKLAHOMA CITY – Funeral services for Erma Ilene (Guymon) Stephens were scheduled for Tuesday at the Paylor Chapel.
Interment is to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery under the direction of Paylor Funeral Home.
Stephens died Saturday, June 29, 2002 at the age of 82.
She was born April 26, 1920.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and four brothers.
Stephens is survived by her husband, Lyle, of the home; one daughter, Joyce Winfrield of Midwest City; one son, Gene Stephens of Wewoka; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Ramona Stewart
Funeral services for Konawa native Ramona Ruth (Pennokee) Stewart are scheduled for 2 p.m Saturday at Bird Creek Indian Baptist Church.
A wake service is set for 7 p.m. tonight at the Glorieta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
The body will be taken to Bird Creek Indian Baptist Church on Friday afternoon to lay in state until service time on Saturday.
Burial is to be at the Wilson Family Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Stewart died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002 at her residence at the age of 45.
She was born May 21, 1957 in Ada to Richmond and Virginia (Wolfe) Pennokee.
She was a certified medication aide.
Stewart was a member of Glorieta Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Monica Stewart and Alicia DeLana, both of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Nancy Musser, Susan Cardoza, Belva Pennokee, and Rachel Pennokee, all of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Richard Pennokee, Gary Pennokee, and Nathan Pennokee, all of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
Mable Stillwell
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Mable (Sneed) Stillwell are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church.
Rev. Bobby Ray Curry will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Stillwell died Monday May 20, 2002 at her home at the age of 72.
She was born to Lee Sneed and Johnnie (Burton) Sneed on Feb. 12, 1930 in Fairfield, Texas.
Stillwell attended Booker T. Washington School.
She married Earnest Stillwell on May 10, 1947 in Ada.
Stillwell was a homemaker, and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Roger, and J.L. Sneed.
Stillwell is survived by her husband, Earnest, of the home; six children, Earnestine Galbreath, Earnest Stillwell, Jr., Janie Haywood, Helen Perkins, and Jimmy Stillwell; one sister, Willie Mae Saunders; one brother, John Sneed; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be family members.
Honorary bearers are Charlie James, Charles Johnston, James Wall, Roy Winrow, Reggie Wright, Herman Stillwell, and Jack Meeks.
Flower bearers are the Mission Society.
Phillip Stinnett
Funeral services for Phillips Keith Stinnett are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.
Rev. David Nolen is set to officiate
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.
Stinnett died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 in Norman at the age of 75.
He was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Sparks to Charley and Beulah (Gaines) Stinnett.
He married Lillian Phillips on Sept. 30, 1950 in Sparks.
Stinnett worked as an industrial electrician for government contractors and was a rancher in Logan County.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #162 and was a 32nd degree mason.
He was also a member of Eastern Star.
Stinnett was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Guthrie.
He served in the United States Army at the White Sands Atomic Proving Grounds during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stinnett is survived by his wife of Guthrie; three sons, Chris Stinnett of Seminole and Phillip and Andrew Stinnett, both of Florida; one daughter, Elizabeth Stevey of Florida; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Family Life Center of First Southern Baptist Church of Guthrie.
Allen Storie
Funeral services for Seminole resident Allen Madison Storie, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fairview Baptist Church in Shawnee.
Burial followed at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.
Storie died Sunday May 5, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., at the age of 67.
He was born to Henry Gradie Storie and Bessie Lee Martin on Dec. 2, 1934 in Moore.
Storie served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1973, where he served on the Isle Rose, USS Edenton, and the SeaLab III.
He was part of the Man in the Sea Program and the Experimental Diving Unit.
Storie had the honor of diving with Jacques Cousteau, Phillipe Cousteau, and Scott Carpenter.
While serving his country, Storie received the Navy Commendation Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, five Good Conduct Awards, three Letters of Commendation, and a Letter of Appreciation for DSSP SEALAB Diver Support.
In the latter part of the 60s, Storie participated in numerous world-breaking dives and set a world record in 1968.
Also during this time, he attended Scuba Diving School, First Class, Second Class, and Saturation Diver School, ET "A" School, Mineman "A" School, Underwater Swimmers School, Firefighter School, Beckman Instrument School, ABC Warfare School, Mine Gyro School, and Second Class Electronics Technician.
Storie was a retired electrician from Tinker AFB, and a member of the Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Madison Marie Ditsler; his parents; and one brother, William Storie.
Storie is survived by his wife, Cheryl Storie, of the home; two sons, Allen Storie and Dale Storie; two daughters, Anissa Leupold and Christina Ditsler; two brothers, Larry Storie and Donald Storie; three sisters, Wilma Keller, Janie Reynolds, and Jean Householder; two children from a previous marriage, David Coffee and Debra Coffee; and nine grandchildren.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
