PRAGUE – Funeral services for Ruth Stotler, the sister of Seminole resident Earl Jackson, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel.
Rev. Starland Davis and Rev. Morris Brown were set to officiate.
Burial is to follow in Little Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service.
Stotler died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 in Prague at the age of 83.
She was born Aug. 5, 1919 near Stroud to Uriah and Ida Bell (Spradling) Jackson.
She had lived in Prague most of her life.
Stotler was a homemaker and a member of the Prague Holiness Church.
She married Berton A. Stotler on Nov. 26, 1938 in Shawnee. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Maxine Carpenter; and a brother, Jack Jackson.
Stotler is survived by three sons, Leslie Stotler of Newcastle, Gary Stotler of Del City, and Dennes Stotler of Prague; three daughters, Evelyn Phelps of Sellersburg, Ind., Sharon Stotler of Prague, and Brenda Cooper of Idabel; two brothers, Earl Jackson of Seminole and Leroy Jackson of Arkansas; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Dean ‘Smokey’ Stover
Funeral services for Dean Richard "Smokey" Stover, Wewoka, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Little Cemetery.
Rev. Jason Peters is scheduled to officiate, with burial under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Stover, 71, died Saturday at Shawnee Regional Hospital.
He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Idaho and moved to Seminole in 1985 from South Padre Island, Texas.
Growing up in south Texas, Stover was a shrimper on deep-sea boats, later serving as captain on deep-sea tugboats.
He was a member of the Seminole Elks Lodge.
Stover is survived by his daughter, Traci Stover Whitlock and her husband, Larry, of Seminole; two grandchildren, Kennedy and Landon Whitlock, Seminole, and another expected grandchild; his former wife and friend, and Joan (Vass) Stover, Cromwell.
He was preceded in death by his best friend, Blackie Parker, in 1999.
A memorial fund has been established at Security State Bank in Wewoka for donations to help with funeral expenses.
Vicki Lu Strayhorn
Funeral services for Vicki Lu (Neill) Strayhorn are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. David Karges is set to officiate.
Burial is set to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Strayhorn died Friday, April 5, 2002 at her home in Tecumseh at the age of 45.
She was born Dec. 8, 1956 in Albuquerque, N.M. to Homer Lee and Louise Lucille (Molleur) Neill.
She married Ricky Lynn Strayhorn on Oct. 5, 1989 in Seminole.
Strayhorn was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Methodist Church in Albuquerque, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her mother, in 1999 and one brother, Gary Neill in 1978.
She is survived by her father of Seminole; one son, Cody Lynn Strayhorn of the home; and one daughter, Tori Leigh Strayhorn of the home.
William ‘Bill’ Stringfellow
Funeral services for William W. "Bill" Stringfellow are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Stout Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka.
Pastor Charles Troglin and Pastor Bob Bobranski are set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Weleetka Cemetery in Weleekta.
Stringfellow died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at his home in Wewoka following a lengthy illness.
He was 51.
He was born Jun e29, 1950 in Wetumka to William L. and Patricia Ann Spillers Stringfellow.
Stringfellow served on the Citizens Improvement League of Wewoka (CILOW) as secretary from 1993 until 1996 after moving there from Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother of Wewoka; and two sisters, Joyce Elaine Wiley and Kathleen Y. Dobransky, both of Torrance, Calif.
Visitation is planned for Sunday afternoon in the Stout Funeral Home Chapel.
The Stringfellow family has requested that donations be made to CILOW, Ada Hospice or Other Options, Inc. in Bethany.
Virgie Lee Sullens
Funeral services for Maud resident Virgie Lee Sullens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Burial is to follow at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Sullens died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at Valley View Hospital in Ada at the age of 100.
She was born Aug. 29, 1901 in Ranger, Texas to James Perry and Lela (Morton) Collins.
She married Edgar W. Sullens on April 4, 1920 in Moses, N.M.
Sullens was the head cook with the Guymon Public Schools for many years.
She did volunteer work at the senior citizen nutrition center in Konawa from 1978 until August of 2000.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Konawa and the Order of the Eastern Star in Ada.
Sullens was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in December of 1977; one great-granddaughter; and two brothers, J.D. and Preston Collins.
She is survived by two sons, Perry Sullens of Sacramento, Calif., and Kenny Sullens of Zanesville, Ind.; three daughters, Earline Harris of Konawa, Lela Mae Randolph of Kingwood, Texas, and Darline Calvert of Tulsa; one brother, Elvis Collins of Amarillo, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Queenie Sullivan
Funeral services for Queenie Sullivan are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis First Baptist Church.

Sullivan died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 at Sunset Estates of Tecumseh Care Center at the age of 93.
She was born May 13, 1908 in Cedar Glades, Ark. to Arron Joshua and Epsie P. Gillham.
She married W.M. Sullivan on May 11, 1927 in Pottawatomie County.
He preceded her in death on July 2, 1972.
Sullivan was a homemaker and a charter member of the St. Louis First Baptist Church.
She was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and one son, William Harold "Frog" Sullivan on March 15, 1993.
Sullivan is survived by one son, Bill Sullivan of St. Louis; six grandchildren; one sister, Delia Castillow of Shawnee; 11 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Gary Smith, Rusty Sullivan, Marty Sullivan, Michael Robins, Craig Kilcrease, and Hugh Megee.
Shalinda Breann Swanson

Swanson died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 19 days.
She was born in Seminole on Feb. 2, 2002 to Gregory D. Bloom and MyLinda Ann Swanson.
She is survived by her mother and father of the home; her brother, Samuel Keith Swanson of the home; her aunt, Tonya Lynn Swanson of the home; maternal grandmother, Linda Lou Swanson; paternal grandparents, Mark and Debbie Edgell of Seminole; her uncles, Mark, Tony, and Bruce Edgell, all of Seminole; and her godfather, David Arbuckle of Seminole.

Swarb died Thursday, March 14, 2002 at Sunset Estates of Tecumseh at the age of 92.
He was born Aug. 25, 1910 to James Richard and Mary Jane (Dixon) Swarb.
He married Elena Cora Raper in February of 1937 in Pauls Valley.
She preceded Swarb in death on May 20, 1996.
He was a school bus driver for Maud Public School for many years.
He was a cattle rancher and worked for Pottawatomie County District #3.
Swarb was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one daughter, Beverly Young.
He is survived by one daughter, Jackie McGowan of Shawnee; four granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Violet Roundtree and Elsie Hogan, both of Taft, Calif.
