Thomas was a welder.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Lance Thomas.

He is survived by his mother of North Dakota; his wife of the home; three sons, Abel Thomas, Conchattee Thomas, and Lance Thomas, all of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Almya Thomas of Oklahoma City; five brothers, Sam Goodlance of Washington, Delino Thomas of Oregon, Teddy Perez and Mario Perez, both of North Dakota, and James Thomas of Nevada.

Casket bearers are Sam Goodlance, Delino Thomas, Adrian Satepauhoodle, Austin Satepaudhoole, Tim Franklin, and Thomas McNolity.

Juanita Thomas

Graveside funeral services for Juanita Chitwood Thomas are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Rev. Henry Bell is set to officiate.

Thomas died Monday, June 3, 2002 at Riverside, Calif. at the age of 83.

She was born in Wister on Oct. 14, 1918 to Graham Garfield and Elphia Florence Donathan Chitwood.

She married Guy Thomas on Jan. 6, 1935 in Wetumka. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1989.

They lived in Wewoka until World War II.

In 1940, the couple moved to California, where they lived for a number of years.

They moved to Prague in 1985.

Thomas returned to California in 1997. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Delores Thomas Shaw.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Thomas Mahoney of Buena Park, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Sarah Thomas

Funeral services for Sarah Etta (Dehart) Thomas were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Baggerly South Chapel.

Burial was to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman under the direction of Baggerly South Funeral Home.

Thomas died Friday, July 26, 2002 in Oklahoma City at the age of 88.

She was born June 4, 1914 in Seminole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nath and Nancy Dehart; two sisters; three brothers; one son, Jerry D. Thomas; her husband, Johnnie Samuel Thomas; and four grandsons.

Thomas is survived by one brother, Joshua Dehart; three sons, Farriel, Harold, and Billy; two daughters, Doris Overtuff and Delores Nieman, both of Oklahoma City; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Beuna Thompson

BETHANY – Funeral services for longtime Earlsboro resident Beuna Muriel (Tilley) Thompson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Chapel.

Interment is to follow in Bethany Cemetery under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Services.

Thompson died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002 in Norman at the age of 88.

She was born in May 18, 1913 in Arkansas to John Sherman and Marion (Tucker) Tilley.

She married Freeman "Jay" Thompson in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sept. 27, 1941.

Thomson was preceded in death by her husband, on June 26, 2000; her parents; and one brother, Raymond Tilley.

She is survived by her son, William Jay Thompson of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Daphane DeWitt of Nixa, Mo.; one brother, Aubrey Tilley of California; four granddaguthers; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Francis ‘Sarge’ Thompson

Graveside funeral services for Konawa resident Francis "Sarge" Henry Thompson are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lightning Ridge Cemetery in Roff under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.

Father Matthew Brown, O.S.B., is set to officiate.

Thompson died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002 at DVA Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 82.

He was born Sept. 20, 1920 in Roff to Sam Henry and Eva Lee (Simmons) Thompson.

He was a retired truck driver for McLean Trucking Company.

Thompson was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lola Thompson; one sister, Hazel Lee Garrett; and one brother, Jordan Thompson.

Thompson is survived by two brothers, John P. Thompson and Kenneth R. Thompson, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one sister, Thelma King of Konawa.

Lewey Thompson

Funeral services for Lewey Justin Thompson, the nephew of Seminole resident Fried Atyia, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel.

Rev. Jerry Holloway and Rev. John Grubs are set to officiate.

Interment is to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Choctaw Nation Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps.

Services are under the direction of Chaney’s Funeral Home.

Lewey died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002 in Savanna at the age of 37.

He was born to Michael K. and Judy C. (Oliver) Thompson on Aug. 20, 1965 in McAlester.

He graduated from Enid High School.

Lewey served in the United States Marine Corps in 1983.

He graduated from Colorado Springs Culinary Institute in 1992.

He worked for C-2 Utility Construction Co. in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Lewey had worked for Komar, Citgo, Thrift-T Mart, and currently worked for L.C.’s Dandy Mart and as a carrier for the U.S.A. Today newspaper.

He was a member of the Indian Nation U.S. marine Corps detachment.

He is survived by his mother, Judy C. Thompson of the home; uncles, Harold "Corky" Oliver and wife Beth of McAlester, Fried Atyia of Seminole, Howard Lalman of McAlester; aunts, Betty Gilmore and husband Jim of New Braunsfel, Texas, Melody Thompson of Marlow; great-aunt, Tillie Oliver of McAlester; great-great uncle, Jack Willis of Ponca City; numerous cousins; special friend Mike Bailey; and Lewey’s special pets, "Taz," "Jasmine," and "Peetie."

His father, Michael K. Thompson; grandmother, Opal B. Oliver; aunts, Pauline Lalman and Sandra Atyia; and an uncle, Bill Thompson, preceded Lewey in death.

The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Chaney Haskins Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Thursday at Choctaw Community Center.

Pallbearers will be members of the Indian Nation detachment of the U.S. Marine Corps League.

Honorary pallbearers are Leroy Stewart, Jerry Banker, Mike Bailey, Gene Osborne, Paul Griffith, and Clint Folsom.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Oklahoma Chapter.

Bobby Thoms

CHOCTAW – Funeral services for Bobby G. Thoms were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. this morning at the Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was to follow at Little Cemetery.

Thoms died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at the age of 69.

He was born Dec. 15, 1932 in Clarksville, Texas to S.C. and Vivian Thoms.

He served over eight years in the United States Air Force.

Thoms played lea guitar in the Pima County Band.

He retired from Tinker in 1994.

He was preceded in death by his father; one daughter, Wynella; and one sister, Shirley Baker.

Thoms is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; his mother; four children, Margie Galindo, Larita Hill, Sonny Bailey, and Michael Bailey; six grandchildren; and one sister, Martha McGuinnis.

Barney Ray Tiger-Emarthla

Imogene Tiger-Emarthla

Funeral services for former Seminole County residents Barney Ray Tiger-Emarthla, 75, and Imogene Bernice Tiger-Emarthla, 72, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cold Springs Indian Church, located ˝ miles west of Hwy. 99 on Hwy. 39 east of Konawa.

Revs. Edwin Jimboy and Leroy "Rusty" Davis will officiate.

The couple died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002 as a result of an auto accident near Holdenville.

Interment will follow at the Emarthla Family Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

A wake service will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Barney was born to Markosy Emarthla and Lucy Franks Emarthla on July 27, 1927 in Seminole County.

He was a member of the Middle Creek No. 2 Baptist Church, and was baptized on June 13, 1937.

Barney attended school in Konawa and was employed by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation until he retired in 1971.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy and Alex; and two sisters, Yannah Factor and Eliza Johnson.

Barney is survived by three brothers and one sister.

Imogene was born to Amos Tiger and Julia Wise Tiger on July 6, 1930 in Seminole County.

She graduated from Dewight Mission in Vian and attended Draughen’s Business College.

Imogene was a seamstress and was employed by Big Yank until her retirement.

She was also a member of the Hilltop Presbyterian Indian Church.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J. Lynn Tiger; and two sisters, Messilda Moppin and Winnie Mae Factor.

She is survived by her brother and sister, Kelly Tiger and Frances Jo Tiger, both of Holdenville.

The couple is survived by their children, Marcie Tiger and Dorsey Tiger, both of Holdenville, Lynn Tiger, Owasso, Danny Tiger and Dena Tiger Kloehr, both of Broken Arrow, and Donna Tiger and Marilyn Tiger, both of Tulsa; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Barney will be Noah Downing, Dorsey Tiger, Sr., Bud Keesee, Richard Emarthla, Steve Kloehr and Gilbert Beard.

Honorary bearers will be Darryl Byerly and Wesley Factor.

Pallbearers for Imogene will be Marcie Tiger, Danny Tiger, Victor Tiger, Anthony Tiger, Chris Tiger and Jim Stewart.

Honorary bearers will be Arturo Band and George Franks.

The couple were married on Nov. 16, 1951, and made their home in Hughes County.
