Funeral service for Rev. Edward Vincent St. are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Ada.
Interment is to follow at Rosedale Cemetery under the direction of Temple and Sons Funeral Directors.
Vincent died Sunday, May 1, 2002 at the age of 69.
He was born July 26, 1932 in Leader County to George and Jeannette Vincent.
He was a resident of Shawnee.
Vincent worked at Service Chevrolet in Ada and retired from General Motors as a forklift driver.
He pastored several churches including the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Seminole and the Morning Star Baptist Church of Checotah.
He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Living Stone Lodge #172 in Wewoka.
Vincent received an honorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces in 1960.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Vincent; two daughters; five sons; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mack Walker
Graveside services for former Seminole resident Mack D. Walker are scheduled for noon on Wednesday at the Jackson Family Cemetery.
Rev. Kevin Burdine will officiate the services, which will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home and Doty Nash Funeral Home.
Walker died last week in Chicago at the age of 68.
He was born to Willie B. Lee and H.D. Walker on Oct. 19, 1933 in West Carroll, La.
Walker served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.
He married Katherine Roberts Walker, who precedes him in death.
He was also prededed in death by his parents; one sister; and a grandmother.
Walker is survived by two daughters, Vonda and Sharon; one son, Kermitt; two brothers, Melvin and Bubba; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Millie Walker
Graveside funeral services for Millie (Taylor) Walker are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Little Cemetery.
Rev. Larry Chesser is set to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Walker died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 69.
She was born Dec. 4, 1932 in Sasakwa to Hulin Brooks and Hazle (Dunn) Taylor.
She married Willie D. Walker on Sept. 20, 1951.
He preceded Walker in death on July 19, 1989.
She was a homemaker and a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.
She was an active member of the Tracy Rebekah Lodge.
Walker was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Willie Dale Walker and two brothers, Joe and Wayne Taylor.
She is survived by one son, Law Ray Walker of Seminole; one sister, Dorothy Moody of Seminole; two brothers, Ray Taylor of Seminole and Bill Taylor of Tulsa; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Howard Walkingstick
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Howard Chandler Walkingstick are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church in Holdenville.
Rev. Joe Robinson is set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Walkingstick died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at the age of 87.
He was born in Tahlequah on Jan. 7, 1915.
He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1932.
Walkingstick attended Okmulgee Business College before leaving in 1935 for George Washington University.
He graduated in 1946 as a professionally trained social worker.
He left Washington for Chicago when World War II was declared. He volunteered into the Army in May of 1943 and was discharged in June of 1946.
Walkingstick returned to his federal job in Chicago where he also did volunteer work, which led him to the University of Denver School of Social Work.
He received his Masters in 1949 and was detailed to Albuquerque Bureau of Indian Affairs, the United Pueblo Agency.
After working in many states with Native Americans, he retired at Anadarko on Oct. 30, 1970 where he had been since 1954.
Walkingstick was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kiwanis, the Oklahoma Welfare Association, and many other organizations.
Most recently, Walkingstick lived in Holdenville where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was a regular at Kiwanis and the HSPS as well as the Elks Lodge and bingo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon R. and Rebecca (Chandler) Walkingstick and eight siblings.
Walkingstick is survived by one sister, Galela Walkingstick.
Billy Joe Wallace
OKLAHOMA CITY – Funeral services for Sasakwa native Billy Joe (Nation Red) Wallace are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the New Jerusalem Temple Church of God in Christ.

Wallace died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002 at Veterans Hospital.
He was born Aug. 11, 1947 in Sasakwa to Ida Belle Dennis and Thomas Wallace.
He attended school in Sasakwa and later moved to Oklahoma City where he graduated from Douglas High School.
In 1966 Wallace enlisted in the United State Army where he was stationed in Fort Huachuka, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Thomas Wallace, Jr.
He is survived by his mother of Oklahoma City; three sons, Billy Wallace Jr., Brandon Wallace, and Chance Wallace, all of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Larry Wallace of Virginia Beach, Va., Wilbert Wallace of Oklahoma City, and Roy Wallace of Harrisburg, Pa.; and four sisters, Lillian Cox Lee of Oakland, Calif., Lois Ann Fountain of Grand Rapids, Minn., Joyce Wallace of Tulsa, and Evangelist Gloria "Donna" Wallace of Tulsa.
William Doyle Wallace
BONO, ARK. – Graveside funeral services for William Doyle Wallace are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m. for the immediate family and from 6 to 8 p.m. for the public at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Services are under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home.
Wallace died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Unity North Hospital at the age of 72.
He was born Dec. 26, 1929 in Loneoak, Ark. to Harvey Joe and Willie Mae (Gallauher) Wallace.
He married Omega Mae Wallace on Dec. 14, 1949 in Craighead, Ark.
She preceded Wallace in death on Feb. 8, 1994.
He was a retired machinist and sheet metal worker.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by four sons, Bud Wallace, William A. Wallace, Monty Doyle Wallace, and James L. Wallace, all of Maud; three daughters, Patricia Wallace, Jeannie Baize, and Willena Beck, all of Maud; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Veta M. (McGehee) Warden
Veta Mae (McGehee) Warden, 77, of Seminole, passed away Sunday in Shawnee.
She was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Seminole County to John W. and Virgie (Green) McGehee.
Veta grew up in the Strother community, graduating from Strother High School in 1943.
Veta married Kenneth F. Warden on Aug. 14, 1943, in Paden.
While her husband served in World War II, she lived in North Carolina and worked at various occupations in support of the war effort.
The couple moved back to the Strother community in 1947, where she and her husband raised five children.
She worked at part-time jobs while raising her kids.
She drove a bus for Strother School and worked at the election booths as a ballot officer for many years.
She and her husband worked for the Corps of Engineers as gatekeepers at Porum Landing on Lake Eufaula for three years and at Strayhorn Landing at Lake Tenkiller for one year, a job she truly loved, because she loved meeting and getting to know people.
She enjoyed living on the farm, raising animals, planting vegetable gardens, flowers and plants.
She also enjoyed doing crafts to give for gifts.
She was an avid sports fan and one of her greatest pleasures was watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in their activities over the years.
Veta is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Don and Sharon of Tecumseh, and Kenneth Lynn and Linda of Seminole; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Joe North of Fort Smith, Ark., Karol Jean and Charley Parker of College Station, Texas, and Denise Davis and her friend Mike Vass of Seminole.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Amy Szczepan of Shawnee, Pam and Mike Bailey of Paden, Kenny Warden of Seminole, Misty and Les Waller of Ada, Shannon and Cary Morgan of Seminole, April North and her friend Eric Gray, Randy North and his friend Jessica Simon, all of Fort Smith; Kristi Troxel of College Station; Tedda Davis and Nick Auld of Prague; TJ and Trevor Davis of Prague, Ben Parker of Wimberley, Texas; Mabry Parker of Littleton, Colo., and Becky Parker of Madrid, Spain.
Her five great-grandchildren, Taryn Morgan of Seminole, Tyler and Kassidy Bailey of Paden, Laken Waller of Ada, and Adisyn Auld of Prague, also survive her.
Three sisters and brothers-in-law, Violet and Al Massey of Fairview, Virginia and Bill Carter of Seminole, and Verlene and Dwayne Atteberry of Tulsa, and one brother, Gene McGehee of Jenks and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 22, 1999, her parents, two sisters, two brothers and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague.
Burial will follow in Little Cemetery, Seminole.
