Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Claudine Ball, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Del City.
Graveside services and burial were scheduled for 4 p.m. at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home.
Ball passed away Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the age of 79.
She was born to John and Mary Elizabeth Cawvey on Nov. 22, 1923 in Hulbert.
Ball lived most of her life in Oklahoma, and attended her high school years at Strother School.
She was a homemaker and raised six children.
Later, she worked at Streets in Shephard Mall in the children’s and women’s departments.
She was a member of the Del City Church of Christ.
Ball was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Ball, on Jan. 24, 2003, and her parents, and brothers and sisters, Don and Maxine Cawvey, Wynona Dollar, John Cawvey, Glen Cawvey, and Wanda Lemore.
She is survived by her sister, Imogene Weston; her six children, Ann Schneider and husband Dutch, Del City, Bill Ball and wife Marj, Webb City, Mo., Jane and husband Mike Murphy, Cedar Park, Texas, Greg and Janelle Ball, Garland, Texas, Cynthia Goodwin, Windsor, Colo., and David Ball and wife Michelle, Kremmling, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Kelly and Brandon Schneider, Stephanie Allsbury, Eric Ball, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Jill Ball, and Mary and Katy Murphy; two great-granddaughters, Sydney Allsbury and Alyssa Schneider.
William ‘Bill’ Ball
OKLAHOMA CITY – Funeral services for William B. "Bill" Ball are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel.
Interment is to follow at Little Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home.
Ball died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at the age of 78.
He was born April 7, 1924 in Seminole to Joseph Newton and Ella Ann Ball.
He grew in the Little community and attended all of his school years at Strother School.
Ball worked at The Seminole Producer in his early newspaper career as a sports writer.
He later went into the advertising field and worked for The Shawnee News Star and The Daily Oklahoman.
He was a member of the 12th and Drexel Church of Christ and, most recently, the Del City Church of Christ.
Ball was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine; six children, Ann Schneider of Del City, Bill Ball of Webb City, Mo., Jane Murphy of Cedar Park, Texas, Greg Ball of Garland, Texas, Cynthia Goodwin of Windsor, Colo., and David Ball of Frisco, Colo.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Lula L. Bane
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident, Lula L. Bane are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Little.
She died June 11, 2003 at the age of 94 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 8, 1909 in Arlburg, Ark. to John Gilbert and Dora (Sheldon) Gilbert.
She married Dolphus Ray Bane on Oct. 24, 1925 in Van Buren County, Ark.
She lived in Hughes and Seminole Counties most of her life and for the last 15 years, she has lived in the Little area.
She was a homemaker, farmer and loved her family and church.
Casket Bearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.R. Bane; three sons, W. Ray Bane, J.W. Bane and Darrell Bane and one granddaughter.
She is survived by four daughters, Ruby Creelman and Juanita Ernst of San Jose, Calif., Alice Morris of Seminole, and Donna Bane of Shawnee; three sons, Charles Bane of Muskogee, Doyle Bane of Holdenville and Jim Bane of Seminole; 25 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Officiating the services will be Rusty Dawson.
Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Vera Mae Dorothy Baser
Graveside services for Seminole resident, Vera Mae Dorothy Baser, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Little Cemetery of Seminole.
She died June 5, 2003, at the age of 80, in the Seminole Estates Nursing Home.
She was born May 19, 1923, In Dewey to George A. and Nora Love (Hinkle) Mitchell.
She was retired from small business administration for government.
Her parents; one sister, Ruth Garrett; one brother, Arthur Mitchell; and one grandson, Chris Baser, preceded her in death in 1990.
She is survived by her spouse and father of her children, James Baser of Cromwell; one son, Darrell Baser of Balch Springs, Texas; one daughter Carolyn Kernal of Seminole; one brother, Virgil Mitchell of Skiatook; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Officiating the services will be Shawn Crawley.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Summer Elise Bergerson
Brian and Amber Bergerson proudly announce the birth of their second child, Summer Elise Bergerson.
She was born July 22, 2003 at 6:01 p.m. at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman.
She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Sh has one older brother, Ty Dahlen who is 4 1/2 years old.
Grandparents are Gene and Judy Bergerson of Seminole and Mike and Lynn Anderson of Ashland, Mo.
Great grandmothers are Imogene Bergerson of Seminole, Doris Hunsacker of Wewoka, Helen Anderson and Helen Jamison, both of Edmond and Lillian Sheets of Calif.
Rose Beach
Rose Beach of Richmond, Va., passed away on March 2, 2003.
Funeral services were scheduled to be held on March 4, in Richmond, Va.
Beach was survived by her son and his wife, Todd and Stacy Beach, Seminole, who have two sons, Andrew and Aaron Beach; and her daughter Ronnie Stanberry and her son Mark Stanberry, also of Seminole.
TW Beach
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident, TW Beach are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev’s. Doyle Long and Steve Cline officiating.
Internment will be at Arlington Memory garden in Midwest City under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
He died Sept. 3, 2003, at the age of 67 at Seminole Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 31, 1936, to William Clay Beach and Thalia (Wade) Beach.
He was married to Lora Jean (Self) Beach on Sept. 26, 1997.
He retired in 1988 from Tinker Air Force Base.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class in Germany in the Artillery Unit for three years.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and loved to fish and go on bus tour trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lora Beach of the home; two sons, Larry Beach and Gary Beach of Midwest City; one step-son, Ray Troglin of Bowlegs; one step-daughter, Vivian Hinds of Seminole; one brother, W.C. Beach of Sallisaw and three grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Ray Troglin, Rodney Troglin, Joe Luna, Paul Self, Allen Broady, Matt Webber, Darrell Morris and Mike Morris.
Katie Bruner Beard
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Katie Bruner Beard are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29 at the Prospect Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Interment will follow at the Bruner cemetery at Turkey Creek in Seminole County.
Beard died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at the age of 86 in the Amberwood Nursing Home in Oklahoma City.
Tom Beaver
Funeral services for Wewoka resident, Tom "Cu’ke" Beaver, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Sand Creek Eufaula Indian Baptist Church, southwest of Wewoka.
Revs. Houston Tiger and Joe Factor will officiate.
Interment will follow at Spencer Family Cemetery, Limestone Community, under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Wake Services were scheduled for 6:00 PM Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Beaver will be moved to Sand Creek Eufaula Indian Baptist Church at 4 p.m.. Monday, for a wake service there Monday evening at 7 p.m.
Mr. Beaver died March 21, 2003, at the home of his sister in Oklahoma City, at the age of 61.
He was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Holdenville, Okla., to George Beaver and Lousanna Johnson Beaver and grew up in Hughes and Seminole Counties.
He attended New Model Schools, and worked as a carpenter for Collins Lumber until he retired in 1991.
He married Mary Spencer in 1971; she preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2001.
He is survived by his children, Tommy George Beaver, Ada; Tom Little Beaver, Ada; Freddie James Beaver, Wewoka; Regina Renee Beaver, Ada; Mary Elizabeth Beaver, Seminole; and Thomas Beaver, Wewoka; his sisters, Wynema Russell, Oklahoma City, and Elouise Johnson, Holdenville; and 17 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Bridget Ann Beaver; a grandson, Justin John Factor; and three brothers, Cecil Harjo, Sam Beaver and Benjamin Washington.
Pallbearers will be Eastman Johnson, Richard Cotton, Jay Smallwood, Terry Smallwood, Chris Johnson and Daniel Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Spencer, Robin Beaver, Sam Beaver, Jr. and Marcus Henderson.
