Graveside funeral services for Jeffrey Lee Beggs, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept, 26, 2003, at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka with Anthony Wood officiating, under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Beggs died on Sunday, September 21, 2003, at the age of 43 at Jacksonville, Florida.
He was born on May 30, 1960, in Laguna Beach, California to Don and Ginger Henderson Beggs.
He attended school at Douglas Schools at in Oklahoma City. and was reared in the Oklahoma City area.
He has lived in the Jacksonville, Florida since 1992, where he was a carpenter and cabinet maker.
Beggs was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by, two sisters Donna Beggs Robertson, Gigi Beggs Martin both of Wewoka, one niece Heather Robertson of Wewoka, and special friend Celeste Sweet of Jacksonville, Florida and other relatives and friends.
Virginia Beggs
Virginia Lee "Ginger" Beggs, Wewoka resident, died Saturday, March 23, 2003 at the age of 61, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in OklahomaCity on March 3, 1941, to Leon Henderson and Lucille McKinley Henderson.
She grew up in California, graduating from school and married Donald R. Beggs on March 21, 1959; they moved to Oklahoma in the mid 60s.
She was a homemaker throughout her married life, and her husband of 30 years died in December of 1989.
In 1991 she went to work for Seminole County District Attorney’s office in Wewoka -Seminole County and retired in March 2001.
She is survived by her fiancé, Wayne Carter of Wewoka; her children, Donna Robertson, Gigi Martin and Jeff Beggs; her granddaughter, Heather Robertson of Wewoka; her brothers and sisters, Paul Henderson, Stockton, Calif., Cookie Stears, Palm Dale, Calif., Pauline Lopez, Tracy, Calif., Ron Henderson, Arlington, Washington; Charlene Osteen, Salt and Sea, Calif., and Norma Jean Long, Wilton, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne Henderson and Donald Henderson.
Funeral services were held at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, Wewoka, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Lively officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Sneed, Rusty Carter, Kevin Roberts, Dave Carter, Jim Carter and Josh Welsh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Peterson, Terry Kirby, John Hargrave, Dave Anderson, Joseph Rigley, Kenny Storks, John Coley, Mark Battershell, Clay Pettis and Tom Lemings.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Brianna Belford
Funeral services for Brianna Louise Page Belford, infant daughter of Seminole residents were scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Church of Christ in Seminole with Chris Stinnett officiating.
Interment followed at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
She was born Oct.5, 2003, in Oklahoma City to Christopher Robert Belford and Christina Lynn Sharp.
She died Oct. 5, 2003 at the OU Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie Sharp.
She is survived by her parents, Christopher Belford and Christina Sharp; grandparents, Ronnie and Barbara Wolf of Seminole, Cecil and Peggy Gomez, and Linda Dean, all of Ardmore; great grandparents, William and Ruby Sheffield and Jackie and Dorothy Cotton of Duncan; one brother, Jackie Belford; and one sister, Christen Belford.
Casket bearers were Ronnie Wolf, Cecil Gomez, Christopher Belford, Eric Vahldick and Casey Dean.
Robert Franklin Bemo
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Robert Franklin Bemo, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the High Spring Baptist Church in Konawa.
He died July 28, 2003, at the age of 81.
He was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Konawa to William and Ada Factor Bemo.
He attended Summer Chapel School.
He married Nell Marie in Hulwa in Wewoka in 1989.
He was a member of High Springs Baptist Church in Konawa.
He was a navy veteran and also worked as a security guard for Seminole Nation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ada Factor Bemo; four brothers, Sam, John, Don and Edgar Bemo; and one sister, Harriet Tiger.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Marie Bemo of the home, two adopted sons, Roland Roberts of Seminole and Bruce Fish of the home; six stepchildren, Donna McNac of Oklahoma City. Alex Fish Jr. of Tecumseh, Laquita Roberts of Cromwell, Laverna Kionute of Binger, John Fish of Oklahoma City and Donnell Fish of the home; four children, Lawanda Abraham of Norman, Glessie Gene Tharp of Norman, Ronnie Bemo of Shawnee and Robert ‘Bob’ Bemo, Jr. of Edmond; two sisters, Rena Gonzales of Denver, Colo. and Elvina Ortega; 26 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Wake services will be at the Stout-Phillips Old Chapel at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
He will be moved to High Spring Baptist in Konawa at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Wake services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at High Springs Baptist in Konawa.
Pallbearers will be Reese Bert, Randy Roberts, Junior Kionute, Charles Burgress, Edward Factor and Steve Harjo.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
Revs. Issac Foster and Dorsey Nero will officiate.
Interment will follow at High Spring Baptist Cemetery under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
John Benardello
Graveside services for former Seminole resident, John Benardello are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
He was born Feb. 11, 1922 in New York City to Joseph Benardello and Theresa (Buscema) Benardello.
He died June 19, 2003, at the age of 81 in the Midwest City Regional Hospital.
He was married to Jenny Lorene (Long) Benardello on March 25, 1942 in Lincoln, Neb.
She preceded him in death of April 24, 2002.
He was a retired entrepreneur.
He was in auto sales, had a Napa franchise and until his retirement in early 1980, he owned Action Vending, Inc.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1980; mother in 1999; and wife.
He is survived by his son, John Robert Benardello of Midwest City and three grandchildren.
Officiating the services will be Rev. Carl Whitfield.
Hattie M. Bender
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident, Hattie M. Bender are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole.
Rev. Steve Cline will officiate.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
She died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at the age of 81 at her home in Seminole.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Seminole to John H. Montgomery and Lou Ella (Brown) Montgomery.
She was married to Herman Bender April 7, 1980.
She was retired from L&L Jewelry, former owner of the Mushroom Store in Seminole Shopping Center (sold Indian jewelry and bibles/ formerly worked for Sylvania in Shawnee, and years ago she worked for the election boards.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was involved with her Sunday school class.
She loved watching the Braves play baseball and loved to play bingo when her health allowed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Linda Parsons on March 13, 1999 and one grandson on Aug. 22, 1986.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Janelle Greenwood of Hillsboro, N.C.; two great granddaughters, Twila Conway of Tecumseh and Heather Parsons of Moore; one great-great grandson, Coby Conway of Tecumseh; two brothers, Bill Montgomery of Yukon and Buck Montgomery of Amarillo, Texas; and one sister, Edith Williams of Hutchison, Kan.
Otto Bender
73, of 1500 32nd St S, Great Falls, Montana, died Sunday morning, December 21st, of natural causes. At his request, no local services will be held. Private services will be held for family at a later date. No visitation will take place. He had bequeathed his body to science and the Montana WWAMI Body Donation program, MSU Bozeman, has accepted his generous gift.
Otto had recently moved from Oklahoma to be nearer his children. He leaves behind an ex-wife, Wanda Bender, still living in Seminole, OK.
Survivors include sons Terry Bender of Panguitch, Utah, Ken Bender of Great Falls, Montana, and Larry Kautzman, of Ogden, Utah. Daughters are Bonnie Sue Hanauer of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Lora Dormady, of Great Falls, Montana, and Sandra Dail, of Great Falls, Montana. A sister, Emma Kurtz, lives in Bismarck, North Dakota. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and Monica Kautzman of Vaughn, Montana, mother of Sandra Dail.
He was preceded in death by a first born daughter, Diane Kay Bender in 1950, and first wife, Frances V. Baker in 1977.
Otto was retired and living in Seminole, OK since the early nineties with Wanda Bender, whom he had married in Las Vegas in 1988 and later divorced. His hobbies included an avid interest in repairing cars. He had discovered an interest in computers and the internet in his later years, allowing for more frequent communication with his children.
