Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Helen Jenette (Rodgers) Blair are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Trena Smithee is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Blair died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 70.
She was born Dec. 2, 1932 in Seminole to Elza Byron and Dora Meala (Fisher) Rodgers.
She married Reubin Blair on Dec. 16, 1957 in Seminole. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1971.
Blair retired from Hayes Axle on Oct. 30, 1992 after 16 years.
She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Cleta and Janet Marshall; stepchildren, Judy and David Blair; her mother, Dora Spann; her father, Byron Rodgers; four sisters, Edna Rodgers, Ruby Houck, Alice Houck, and Cathryn Rodgers; and her brother, Eldon Dean Rodgers.
She is survived by one brother, Elza Rodgers of Wewoka; and one sister, Carolyn Sue Huntington of The Dalles, Ore.
Casket bearers are Eugene Houck, Chad Houck, Joe Houck, Kade Houck, Bobby Westmoland, and Justin Westmoland.
Jeannette Bland
Funeral services for Jeannette Marie Bland of Seminole, were held Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville.
Rev. Roy Robertson officiated the services.
Interment followed at the Holdenville Cemetery, under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Jeannette passed away Friday, March 21, 2003 in Oklahoma City at the age of 55.
She was born to Daniel Bland and Thelma (Ledbetter) Bland on June 28, 1947 in Holdenville.
Jeannette was raised in Hughes County and lived in the area most of her life.
She attended school at Hulsey School and at Moss School and graduated from Moss.
Jeannette loved to crochet and make crafts of all kinds.
She also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her father; her grandfather, Ollie Ledbetter; her grandmother, Cordie Ledbetter; and one brother, Jerry Bland.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Hale and Les Hale; her mother, Thelma Griffith; three sisters, Gloria Guthrie, Brenda Griffith, and Sharon Woods; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other family and loved ones.
Katherine Blevins
Funeral services for former Seminole resident, Katherine Blevins, were scheduled for 2 p.m., May 20, 2003.
She was born on July 26, 1920 to Brother Wallace and Beatrice Wilburn.
She died May 16, 2003, in Seminole.
She was born as a paternal twin into a family of 10 children, which consisted of five boys and five girls.
She owned and operated a beauty salon for 25 years in Hobbs, N.M., where she was a resident for 40 years.
Survivors include her son, Larry Moreland; Sister, Lavalla Spencer; two nephews, grandchildren, great-grand children and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dian Moreland.
A memorial service was held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mildred Blue
Funeral services for Seminole native, Mildred L. Blue of Norman were scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at the Southgate Pentecostal Church in Moore with Rev. Lynn Ice officiating.
Interment followed at 3:30 p.m. in Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman..
Blue died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at the age of 83 in Norman.
She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Seminole to William and Mary (Mahan) Harrison.
She married Bert Hayden Blue on Jan. 10, 1942, in Walters.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Kesler of Guthrie and Latricia Weedn of Norman; two sons, James Blue of Shawnee and Eugene Blue of Norman; one brother; two sister; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Luther Lee Bohanon
U.S. Judge for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, was appointed by President John F. Kennedy in 1961.
He was born in 1902, in Fort Smith, Ark., one of 13 siblings.
He graduated from OU’s law school in 1927.
He and close friend, A.P. Murrah formed the law firm of Murrah & Bohanon in Seminole, moving to Oklahoma City in 1931.
His work led to exposing corruption in the Oklahoma Supreme Court, resulting in significant reforms to the Oklahoma court system.
He was a delegate to the 1932 Democratic Convention which nominated Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
He was also an active participant in the successful 1948 campaign of President Harry S. Truman.
During his career as a judge, his decisions resulted in the implementation of procedures for humane treatment of prison inmates and the desegregation of Oklahoma City Schools.
He was married to Marie Swatek .
She preceded him in death in 1998.
He is survived by a son, Richard L. Bohanon and his wife, Ann of Oklahoma City; three grandsons Christopher A. Bohanon of Arlington, Va., Phillip Lee Bohanon and David Andrew Bohanon of Oklahoma City, and six great grandchildren.
Three children, Baby Boy, Michael Anton and Barbara Marie preceded him in death.
Private graveside services were held Tuesday at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
A memorial service was held at the United Methodist Church of Nichols Hills on July 22 at 11 a.m.
Josh Bohanon
Memorial services for lifelong Seminole County resident, Josh Lee Bohanon are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at the family home from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.

Bohanon died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at the age of 66 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Wewoka to Andrew Bohanon and Lois Mae (Walker) Bohanon.
He graduated from Wewoka High School in 1955 where he was an All-State football player.
Bohanon served six years in the U.S. Army, from 1960-1966.
He married Judy Sullivan in 1974 in Tulsa and went on to graduate from UCO in 1982 with his B.A.
After working briefly as a licensed mortician, he was employed at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for 25 years, before retiring in 1999.
A family man, he was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time, laughing and joking with his family and friends and cheering for his Oklahoma Sooners.
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Bohanon and one brother, Webster Bohanon.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Judy; his twin sons, James Webster of Tulsa and Josh Lee II of Norman; his mother, Lois Mae Bohanon of the home; his sister, Andrewette "Sue" Wood of Edmond; and many other family and friends who will miss him.
Ida Bourbonnais
Graveside services for former Seminole County resident, Ida Evelyn Bourbonnais, of Tecumseh, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec 17 at the Tecumseh Mission Cemetery under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud.
Rev. Cal Hunter will officiate.
Bourbonnais died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at the age of 72 at his home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1932 in Blanchard to Clarence Hollis and Florence (Hughes) Hollis.
She married Roy Bourbonnais of July 31, 1970 in Shawnee.
She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She is a former Maud resident and also lived in Bakersfield, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She is survived by Roy Bourbonnais of the home, four sons, gene Thompson and Robin Geer, both of Range Park, Fla., Johnny Geer of California and Mark Geer of Lawton; two brothers, Carl Hollis of Bakersfield, Calif. and Clifford Hollis of Weiser, Id.; two sisters, Joan Gillham of Tecumseh and Frances McCormick of Bakersfield, Calif.; and ten grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Robin Geer, Mark Geer, Johnny Geer, Gene Thompson, Chris Geer and Kirk Geer.
