Funeral services for native Seminole County resident, Delia S. (Gillham) Castelllow are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday Aug. 22, 2003, at the Resthaven Chapel in Shawnee.
She died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at the age of 82 at Unity North in Shawnee.
She was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Wolf to Aaron and Epsie Gillham.
She attended East Central College in Ada for two years and was employed by Sylvania from 1959 to 1962.
She married Paul Castellow on Aug. 1, 1962.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Queenie Sullivan; and four brothers, Coy, Lonnie, Mack and Omar Gillham.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Castellow of Shawnee; two stepdaughters, Paulette (Al) Chambers of Shawnee and Doris (Church) Melot of Tecumseh; several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and a very special friend, Virginia Hopkins.
Services will be officiated by Revs. Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson.
Interment will follow in Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee.
Cecile (Stevens) Little, age 82, passed from this life to spend eternity with her Lord Sunday, August 3, 2003. She was a lifelong resident of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and was an active businesswoman and civic leader in the community for many years. She married Marvin Little on November 29, 1939, in Wewoka. They owned Jack’s Shoe Store in Wewoka for many years until Cecile retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Marvin Little, her father and mother, William Henry and Audie (Moore) Stevens; two sisters, Mae Byerly and Willie Pullin; and three brothers, Elmer Stevens, Charlie Stevens, and Delmer Stevens.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Saba Little, Wewoka, and Roger and Beth Little, Prague; three grandchildren, Jennifer Little Banfield and her husband Bart, of Eufaula, Jeremy and Salam Little of Prague; two great-grandsons, Bo and Jacob Banfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wewoka. She was very active and energetic until her final days.
Cecile was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a friend to all and never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by many relatives, friends, and her church family.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at 10:30 A.M., at the First Baptist Church in Wewoka. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Charlie Chaffin
Graveside services for Seminole resident Charlie Floyd Chaffin are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Bearden Cemetery.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will offciate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Chaffin died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the Seminole Estates Nursing Home at the age of 72.
He was born to Lee Chaffin and Maudie Chaffin on March 3, 1931 in Okemah.
Chaffin was retired from the oilfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Charles Chaffin.
Chaffin is survived by two sons, Richard Chaffin, Shawnee, and Nyland Chaffin, Seminole; two daughters, Sue Lewallen and Mollie Wyrick, both of Seminole; one brother, John Chaffin, Weleetka; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ola Chandler
Ola Louise (Hyatt) Chandler of Pauls Valley, passed away April 17, 2003 at Pauls Valley General Hospital at the age of 81.
She was born July 15, 1921 in Raiford to Rudolph Lee and Thelma Gail Busha Hyatt.
Ola Louise and James Chandler were married on June 9, 1942 in Seminole.
She was a graduate of Mt. View High School.
She enjoyed her home and her children.
She was a member of the Amarillo Assembly of God Church.
She lived in Amarillo for 45 years before moving to Pauls Valley over five years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Lee and Thelma Gail Hyatt.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James O. Chandler, of the home; two sons, Dr James Michael of College Station, Texas, and Joe Wesley Chandler of the home; two daughters, Dr. Arlinda Kay Chandler of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joyce Ann Rice of Levelland, Texas; one brother, Dennis Hyatt of Midwest City; three sisters Dophie Rounsvill and Virginia Bobbitt of Seminole and Deloris Graves of El Dorado, Kan; one granddaughter; three grandsons, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held April 21, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Stufflebean Chappel, officiated by Rev. Charles Dean.
Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
Mildred Chase Taussig
Graveside services for native Seminole County resident, Mildred Chase Taussig, were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services were under the direction of the Martin-Thompson Funeral Home in Texas.
She died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at the age of 91.
She was born in Wewoka and raised in Seminole.
She attended Gulf Park College, Northwestern University and received her B.A. degree from University of Oklahoma.
She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
She lived in Southern California for many years and was a resident of Oklahoma City for many years.
She was involved in many civic groups and was very active with the Red Cross in California.
She was a retired decorator and spent the last four and one-half years in Grapevine, Texas, where her son resides.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Taussig, and son, Robert Chase Gordon.
Survivors: Children, Lyndi McCartney and husband Bill of Westminster, Colo., John H. Taussig and wife, Rhonda of Euless, Texas and Jeane F. Kemper and husband, Jack of Ada; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Irma Cheatham
Graveside services for former Seminole County resident, Irma Elizabeth Cheatham of Choctaw are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Little Cemetery north of Seminole under the direction of Ford Funeral Service of Del City.
She died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at the age of 71.
She was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Yale to Lincoln and Margaret Rickman.
Cheatham retired as a jet engine inspector from Tinker Air Force Base and enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Rickman.
She is survived by her husband, Burl Cheatham of the home; one son, Greg Cheatham of Seminole; two daughters, Cheryl VanHorn of Norfolk, Va. and Glenda Colbert of Midwest City; four brothers, Charles Rickman of Ponca City, Perry Rickman of Okmulgee, Raymond Rickman of Wichita, Kan. and Norval Rickman or Mooresburg, Tenn.; two sisters, Thelma Wilson of Beggs and Wanda Newton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

He died at his home on July 17, 2002, at the age of 61.
He was born Aug. 15, 1941 in Jones to Bonnie Choate and Ruby Mercer and has lived in Sasakwa since 1978.
He was a heavy equipment operator and was employed by the Oklahoma Operating Engineer Union.
He spent time in California and Oklahoma and traveled the country working the crop harvests.
His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, Tony Choate and Robert Choate, both of Sasakwa; one daughter, Annette Franks of Oklahoma City; one grandson; four brothers, Joe Choate of Vega, Texas, Gene Choate and Verna Choate, both of Sasakwa; and Bob Choate of Okemah; and one sister, Nancy George of Vega, Texas.
The family requests no flowers, but make donations to the American Cancer Society.

James ‘Jim’ Chupco Sr.
WISCONSIN – Funeral services for James "Jim" Edward Chupco Sr., the son of Seminole residents Amos and Lucille Chupco, were scheduled for this afternoon at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Father David Barrett is set to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swedberg Funeral Home.
Chupco died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003 in Keshena, Wisc. at the age of 51.
He was born Sept. 27, 1951 in Ft. Bragg, N.C. to Amos and Lucille (Tiger) Chupco.
He married Deborah (Waupoose) on Aug. 14, 1970 in Chicago, Ill.
Chupco was employed in home construction and was the maintenance supervisor for the Menominee Tribal Clinic.
He was a former Southern Championship Fancy Dancer.
He volunteered DJ music for fundraisers at St. Michael’s Church.
Chupco is survived by his wife; daughters, Bettie Thomas Chupco of Seminole, Treva Ann Chupco and Lucinda Jean Chupco, both of Keshena; one son, James Edward Chupco Jr. of the US Navy of Great Lakes, Ill.; his parents; and his sister, Phyllis Platta of Mescelero, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
