Clifford Kimery

Clifford Kimery was born on September 19, 1916 in Prague and departed this life on April 17, 2003 in Norman at the age of 86.

Clifford was the son of Jake Francis and Ethel (Herndon) Kimery.

He was a life-long resident or Prague and was a member of the Church of Christ at Little and the American Legion.

He graduated from Prague High School with the Class of 1934.

After returning from service in the military during World War II, he and his brother, Harold, founded Prague Electric and he worked as an electrician until his retirement.

Clifford married Lucille J. Duncan and she preceded him in death on February 17, 1972.

He later married Rachel (McDaniel) Reynolds in August of 1973.

She died on May 8, 1997.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold and Cecil Kimrey and one son, Allen Kimery.

Survivors include one son Steve Kimery of Oklahoma City; one brother, Edward Kimery of Prague; three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rusty Dawson officiating.

Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Janna Mae Clinton

Memorial services for former Seminole resident, Janna Mae Clinton of Shawnee are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, under the direction of Gaskill Funeral Chapel of Shawnee.

Clinton died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, in Shawnee.

She was born Nov. 2, 1932, the daughter of Lon J. Villines and Lillian (Templeton) Villines.

She attended and graduated Seminole High School.

She married Robert A. Vorndran and after his death, she married Raymond Clinton, who also preceded her in death.

She was a substitute teacher.

She also enjoyed baking cakes and taking food to shut-ins.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, two sisters and her parents.

She is survived by two sons, Curtis Arthur Vorndran of McLoud and Kevin Andrew Vorndran of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandsons, Curtis John Vorndran of McLoud and Christian Alexander Vorndran of Kansas City, Mo.; and two sisters, Norissa Richardson of Seminole and Doris Notley of Oklahoma City.

Madge Cloud

Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Madge Leona "Mimi" Cloud are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Wood officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairlawn Memorial Park in Cushing, with graveside committal at 1 p.m., under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Cloud died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the age of 98 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center.

She was born Jan. 24, 1905, in Muskogee to Granville Niles McDaniel and Martha (Stark) McDaniel.

She was married to Delmas Archie Cloud on Sept. 9, 1941.

Cloud formerly lived in Shamrock, El Paso, Texas and after serving 20 years in the Army, the couple retired and made their home in Drumright.

Before beginning her career as a mother and homemaker, she was a clerk in a local bakery in Shamrock, Texas.

Her husband served in the army and their family traveled throughout his career.

She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church for over 25 years.

She moved to Springfield, Mo. to live with one of her daughters in 1994.

Since her return to Seminole, she attended El Shaddai Temple with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas Cloud; four children, Freddie June, James Richard and Edward Niles Wensauer and Winifred Jean Keener.

She is survived by three children, Patricia Church and Rose Marie Keener of Seminole and Jack Leo Wensauer of Roxboro, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Bernita B. Coble

Funeral services for former Seminole resident, Bernita B. Coble, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Shawnee.

She died June 11, 2003, at the age of 75, at the Unity Health Center South in Shawnee.

She was born May 30, 1928, in Wellston to Albert Seebeck and Hattie (Helm) Seebeck.

She was married to William D. ‘Bill’ Coble on March 6, 1962 in Shawnee.

She worked in the meat department of several grocery stores including Safeway and Humpty Dumpty in Seminole and Pratts and Safeway in Shawnee.

She graduated from Seminole High School in 1945 and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Shawnee.

Casketbearers will be Chuck Mouse, David Hargis, Dave Haas, Jim Clure, Leonard Schultz and David Watson.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Her spouse, William ‘Bill’ Coble of the home; one brother, Melvin L. Seebeck of Ada; one nephew, one niece, two great nieces and one great nephew, survives her.

Rev. Gary Brandt will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Dan Coker

Funeral service for Seminole resident, Dan Coker will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be at Coker Family Cemetery with Revs. Dorsey Nero and Houston Tiger officiating, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Wake services will be held at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

Coker passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at the age of 49 at Integris Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on March 21, 1954, in Seminole to Barney and Katie West Coker.

He attended school at Pleasant Grove School and after high School he enlisted in the U.S. Marines, receiving an award for expert markmanship.

He retired as a laborer in 1994 due to a disability.

Coker was proceeded in death by his parents Barney and Katie Coker; his brothers, Barney Coker Jr., and Jesse Coker; and one sister Shirley Henneha

Survivors include one son, Anthony Stumblingbear of Oklahoma City; six sisters, Martha Flippin, Margie Stalnaker, Juliet Hopper, Jane Northcott and Rosetta Coley, all of Seminole, and Daisy Marshall of Tulsa.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Hopper, Ocie York, Randy Ahhaitty, Thompson Postoak, David Jones, Richard Cole, Dave Coley, Fred Combs and Benny Lena.

Roberta Coley

Wake services for Seminole County resident, Roberta Lynn (Bemo) Coley will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

She will be moved to Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 with all night Wake services beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Spring Baptist Church with Revs. Ed George and Billy Joe Harjo, along with Danny Cully will officiate.

Interment will be in the Spring Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.

Coley died Nov. 11, 2003, at the age of 54.

She was born Nov. 1, 1949 in Wewoka to Simeon and Beulah (Cully) Bemo.

She was baptized at Spring Baptist Church on July 13, 1958. by Rev. Abler Davis and was a lifelong member.

She attended Wewoka Schools, graduating in 1966, and continued her education at Okmulgee Tech for two years.

She was employed by the Older American Program with Seminole Nation from 1989-1999.

She married Herbert Coley, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Simeon and Beulah Bemo; two brothers, Simeon "Dink" Bemo Jr. and Benny Bemo; and one great nephew, Christopher Bemo.

She is survived by her special friend, Billy Wood of the home; two sisters, Pinky Yahola of Wetumka and Rena Blue Eyes of Wewoka; and a host of other family members.

Pallbeares will be Buddy Wood, Mitch Buck, Roy Yargee, Jeff Osborn, Mike Owens, Asi Yahola and Opthle Yahola.

Honorary bearers will be her nephews.

Nancy Collins

Funeral services for Seminole native Nancy Jane Collins were scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2003 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee.

Collins died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 in Oklahoma City.

She was born on March 15, 1936, in Seminole.

Collins was a registered nurse for 15 years in Arkansas, where she was held of the Oncology department.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard "Rip" Collins of Arkansas.

She is survived by three children, son Larry Sanford; daughters, DeeAnn Schroyer, Shawnee, and Judy "J.B." Sanford, Dallas, TX.; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and three great grandchildren also survive her.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
