Anna Faye Barnhart
Graveside services for Anna Faye Barnhart, formerly of Fort Towson, were at 2 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville. The Rev. R.H. Brese officiated the ceremony.

Anna Faye Barnhart died Sept. 14, 2002 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was 63.

Anna Barnhart was born Nov. 7, 1938 in Fort Towson, to Lona Joe and Laural Mildred (Brese) Green.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

She is survived by one son, Michael Barnhart of Euless, Texas; three daughters, Regina Barnhart of Keller, Texas, Jennifer Barnhart of Keller, Texas and Sherry Teague of Cullman, Ala.; two brothers Roy Gene Green of Glenn Heights, Texas and Jimmy Ray Green of Bedford, Texas and four sisters, Johnnie Norton of Grand Prairie, Texas, Virginia McCarty of Beaumont, Texas, Sue Gainer of Sherman, Texas and Betty Ortiz of Hugo.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home handled the funeral arrangements.

Kennith William Chadrick
Services for Kennith William Chadrick were at 10 a.m. Sept. 27 at the Bill Darrough Pavillion. Internment followed at Baby Land at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Kenneth William Chadrick died Sept. 24, 2002 in Hugo.

Kenneth was born Sept. 24, 2002 in Hugo to Richard Chadrick, Jr. and Shasta Tidmore.

He is survived by his parents; one brother, Austin Chadrick of Hugo; grandparents Richard M. Chadrick of Hugo, and Paula Robinson and Mike Robinson, both of Oklahoma City; great grandparents Alma Chadrick of Hugo, Bessie Springs of Soper and Cecil Lindsley of Joshua, Texas; one aunt, six uncles and sevreal cousins and other family members.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.

John Walter Schuchardt, Jr.
Services for John Walter Schuchardt, Jr. were at 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at the Southside Baptist Church in Paris, Texas. The Rev. Scott Cox officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. The family will received friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home in Paris, Texas.

John Walter Schuchardt, Jr. died Wednesday at his home in Sumner, Texas. He was 49.

John Walter Schuchardt was born Aug. 20, 1953 in Hobbs, N.M.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Schuchardt of Sumner; his mother, Marcella Schuchardt of Hugo; three brothers, Steven Schuchardt of Mayer, Ariz., Paul Schuchardt of Oklahoma City and Mark Schuchardt of Norman.; one daughter, Mariah Ann Acedado of Hurst, Texas; one son, John Christopher Schuchardt of Wichita Falls, Texas; two step-sons, Richard Nye of Albuquerque, N.M. and Keith Nye of Sumner and one step-daughter, Korina Myers of Dallas.

Arrangements are being handled by Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home in Paris, Texas.

Thelma Brent
Thelma E. Brents
Services for Thelma E. Brents were at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo. Internment followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Friday at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo.

Thelma E. Brents, of Fort Towson, died Sept. 13, 2002 in Hugo. She was 79.

Thelma E. Brents was born in July 24, 1923 in Spencerville to J.L. (Shinny) and Georgia (Clark) Earthman. She married Willis H. Brents July 11, 1945 in Hugo and lived in this commmunity all of her life.

She owned and operated a day care center for 32 years. Ms. Brents was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hugo. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, J.T. Earthman and one sister, Jackie Ingram.

She is survived by one son, Donald Ray Brents and wife Alicia of Fort Towson; one daughter, Kathy Jane Woolsey and husband Billy of Valliant; one brother, Ray Earthman of Spencerville; two sisters, Marilyn Gooding of Soper and Faye Young of Sawyer; five grandchildren, Christopher Scott Brents and Casey Don Brents of Fort Towson, Kristy Michelle Woolsey and William Ryan Woolsey of Valliant, Tarra Singleton and husband James of Sallisaw; four great grandchildren, Christopher Cole Brents of Fort Towson, James, Robert, Bryce and Parker Singleton of Sallisaw.

Ruiel C. Dunlap
Services for Ruiel C. Dunlap were at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo. The Rev. Jerry Cooper officiated.

Ruiel C. Dunlap, of Hugo, died Sept. 8, 2002 in Hugo. He was 80.

Ruiel C. Dunlap was born Nov. 20, 1921 in Duncan to Emmit C. & Myrtle (Woodward) Dunlap. He married Hazel McWhirter in Duncan Sept. 15, 1942.

Mr. Dunlap had been a member of this community for the past eight years after moving here from McKinleyville, Calif. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hugo. He worked as a rancher and in the lumber industry.

Mr. Dunlap was a loving husband and father and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bertha White; one brother, Calvin Dunlap and one grandson, Bryan Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel, of Hugo; one son, Don Dunlap and wife Janice of Prinville, Ore.; one daughter, Carolyn Cambpell and husband John of Anlters; two grandchildren; Brady Campbell of Antlers and Suzette Ladd of Prinville, Ore.; four great-grandchildren, Melissa Ladd of Prinville, Ore., Chris Campbell, Amanda Campbell and Cholanda Ainsworth of Antlers and one great-great-grandchild, Jacob Ainsworth of Antlers.

Jerry Hicks
Services for Jerry Hicks were at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 Thursday at Life Tabernacle Church in Unger. The Rev. Tim Harless officiated the ceremony. He was assisted by Bucky Ensey. Internment followed at Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo.

Jerry died Sept. 7, 2002 in Boswell. He was 36.
Jerry Hicks was born Oct. 5, 1965 in Hugo to James and Barbara (Broadhead) Hicks.

Jerry was married to Carol Bean Sept. 18, 2000 in Boswell.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Isbell and an aunt, Wanda Bush.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of Boswell, his parents and two step-sons Marc Love of Ablemarle, N.C. and Shane Sosh of Asbury Park, N.J.; one sister, Tammy Carrico of Boswell; three step-grandchildren and three nieces.

The Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo is handling the arrangements.
