Graveside services for Ray Warren Dickover of Earlsboro have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Dickover died April 4, 2003 in Tulsa, at the age of 86.
He was born April 27 1916 to Walter S. and Mary A. (Faught) Dickover.
He lived on his family’s farm in the Choctaw area for many years.
He had resided in Earlsboro for the past 20 years.
He was a farmer most of his life and lived on the family farm to care for his mother after his father’s death.
His parents, two sisters, Eva Ruckman and Elma Haley; and two brothers, Everett and Leonard Dickover preceded him in death.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews and their families.
The service will be officiated by Rev. Lee Wayne Fowler.
James Dicks
Carol Dicks
James H. and Carol R. Dicks, Bartlesville residents died within two days of each other due to lengthy illnesses, fulfilling their wedding vows of "till death do us part".
Carol Ruth (Fuqua) Dicks died at 8:45 at the age of 68 on April 24, 2003 and James Herbert Dicks died at 1:55 p.m. at the age of 73 on April 26, 2003.
They will lie in state in the Drawing Rooms of the Arnold Moore Funeral Residence where friends may call on Monday and Tuesday.
Funeral services for James and Carol Dicks will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the sanctuary of the Tuxedo Assembly of God Church.
Officiating psators will be Rev. Charles McKnight, Rev. Brett Luallen and Rev. Alfred Haymaker.
The funeral cortege will drive overland to Seminole where committal prayers and final rites will be directed in the Maple Grove Cemetery at 3 p.m. by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
Carol Ruth (Fuqua) Dicks was a native or Arkansas and moved to Oklahoma early in life to complete her education.
James and Carol were united in marriage on August 29, 1952 in Seminole.
Her life was selflessly devoted to rearing her children and caring for her family.
Her church life and relationship with God was her cornerstone from which she received her strength and caring nature.
She had many gifts in which she ministered to others, which was made evident by the love and care she received during her illness.
James Herbert Dicks was a native of Oklahoma where he was reared and in turn reared his family.
A testament to his life and character could be seen in the fact that during his entire education and 39 years with Southwestern Bell, James never missed a day.
He was admired by his employers and co-workers for his hard work and fairness with others.
His devotion to his work came second only to his devotion to his family where he is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is highly respected by all as a true man of God.
This was made manifest in the unconditional love he shared toward others.
James and Carol retired to Lake Eufaula in 1990 and lived there until moving to Bartlesville in 2000 to live in retirement.
Surviving are their two daughters Marsha Whitehead of Waco, Texas and Joy Cook of Bartlesville; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; Carols brother, Leonard Ray Fuqua of Arlington, Texas; her sister, Alice Marie Poplin of Carrollton, Texas.
Preceding in their deaths were both parents, Lee John and Eunice Jewel (Morris) Fuqua and Walter Herbert and Edna Mildred (Mabes) Dicks; his sister, Mrs. Dorothy Guyer and her brother, Eddie Fuqua.
Helen Downey
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Helen Zenith Downey are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rusell Vicars officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Downey died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at the age of 85 at Seminole Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Roff to William Barnett Selfridge and Julia Donettie (Caton) Selfridge.
She moved to Seminole in 1926 from Allen.
She married Walter Maxwell Downey July 23, 1934 in Seminole.
She was a homemaker and belonged to the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Forest Lemuel Selfridge; sisters Lavena Peters, Beulah Smith, Bertha Rediker, Nevada Lawson, Susan Ada Selfridge and Willie Donettie Selfridge; grandchild, Kirby Lee Little; great grandchildren, Billy Dean Burnett, Derryl Lockhart Jr. and Belinda Sue Burnett.
She is survived by her spouse, Walter M. Downey of the home; four sons, Walter Dale Downey of Seminole, Barnett Eugene Downey of Texas, William Keith Downey of Crane, Texas and Kenneth Ray Downey of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Joyce Darlene Burnett of Seminole, Lawana Sue Holder of Oklahoma City and Sharon Kay Baker of New Braunfels, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Robert Waldon, Martin Downey, Wesley Downey, Bill Downey, Mike Downey and Myron Downey.

Nell Ola Droke
Funeral services for the mother, Nell Ola Holland Droke, of a Seminole resident are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15 at the First Christian Church in Thomas, followed by interment at Thomas Cemetery under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service of Bethany..
She died Sept. 11, 2003, at the age of 92 in Oklahoma City.
She was born Aug. 30, 1911 in Pittsburgh.
She was formerly a 67-year resident of Putnam in Dewey County.
She is survived by three children which include one son, Bill Droke of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Bonnie Battles of Seminole; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mildred Marie Dunagan
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Mildred Marie Dunagan, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Ralph Jones will officiate.
Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Mildred passed away Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the McLoud Nursing Center at the age of 77.
She was born to Ira Hankins and Eary (Townsend) Hankins on June 19, 1925 in Oilton.
Mildred married Richard O. Dunagan on June 20, 1943 in Seminole, and the couple were the owners and operators of the R.O. Dunagan company in Seminole.
Mildred was a member of the First Christian Church, the Eastern Star, and Guys and Dolls Square Dance Club in Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, on March 12, 2001.
Mildred is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Janice Dunagan, Seminole, Danny and Patty Dunagan, McLoud, and Earl and Sherri Dunagan, Lake Jackson, Texas; her grandchildren, Ronnie Dunagan and wife Julie, Steve Dunagan, Sherri McAlvain and husband Brian, Darell Dunagan and wife Abbie, Dusty Webb and husband Matt, Cynthia Cude and husband Scott, Ben Dunagan, and Noah Dunagan; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Dunagan, Autumn Dunagan, Andrew Dunagan, Addison Dunagan, Lauren McAlvain, Dylan Dunagan, Kourtnee Cude, and Sean Cude; and one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Fred Kyker, Kountz, Texas.
Casket bearers will be Ron, Steve, Darell, Noah, and Ben Dunagan, Brian McAlvain, Matt Webb, and Scott Cude.

Edward Duncan
Funeral services for Edward Ray "Uncle Ed" Duncan, brother of Bowlegs resident Bonnie Schlueter, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Seminole.
Chris Stinnett, Minister of the Church of Christ will officiate.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Uncle Ed passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2003 at the age of 75.
He was born to Andrew Jackson Duncan and Florence (Turrentine) Duncan on Dec. 17, 1927.
Uncle Ed was a corporal in the U.S. Army with the 45th Infantry, having served in Korea for 18 months.
After returning from Korea, he worked for Double Cola in Seminole for 30 years, retiring in 1981.
After retiring from Double Cole, Uncle Ed worked for Wrangler until 1998 when he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Duncan and Florence (Turrentine) Duncan; two brothers, Hugh Duncan and Sie Duncan; and five sisters, Della Duncan, Edith Duncan, Helen Houtz, Margie Schlueter, and Virginia Bender.
Uncle Ed is survived by one sister, Bonnie Schlueter and her husband, Hoyle, Bowlegs; one brother-in-law, John Bender, Seminole; several nieces and nephews including, Mike and Roberta Bender, Ray and Susie Brady, Joe and Betty Craig, George and Shirley Howell, Steve Bender, David and Teresa Duncan, Jimmy and Lois Duncan, Don and Mary Haggerty, Ronnie Duncan, John Duncan, Debbie Jost, Mark Schlueter, and Rick and Barbara Hartman.
Pallbearers will be Jon Craig, Joseph Craig, James Howell, Ryan Pierce, Travis Duncan, and Frank Schlueter.
Honorary bearers will be Joe Templeton, C.D. Houck, Glen Siler, Clint Jackson, Joe McRay, Ralph Caster, and Jack Mattingly, Sr.

Alvin Dundee
Funeral services for former Seminole resident, Alvin Dundee were scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Temple Israel with interment to follow in the New Temple Israel Section of Rose Hill Cemetery.
He died Oct. 6, 2003, at the age of 86.
He was born Aug 10, 1917, in Rezkne, Latvia and moved to the United States in 1930.
He graduated from Central High School in 1936 and joined the Army, becoming a U.S. Citizen in 1942.
He served his country in the 1st Infantry Division throughout Europe, the Normandy Invasion, and in North Africa.
He married Dorothea Sanger of Collinsville in 1946 in Ft. Smith, Ark.
The couple then moved to Seminole where he worked at Moran Pipe and Supply.
In 1956, he moved to Tulsa to form his own company, Dundee Oil & Supply.
He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.
He was a member of Temple Israel, Congregation B’nai Emunah. B’nai B’rith Men and the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association.
A sister, Sylvia Frank and his beloved wife of 56 years, Dorothea, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Janet Dundee and Jeff Darby, Michael Dundee, Shirley and Willie Burger; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
The family requests that donations be made to Temple Israel or to donor’s choice.
