Funeral services for former Seminole resident Rebecca Ann (Welch) Dunn were held Friday in her hometown of Goodsprings, Ala.
Dunn died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 at the age of 62.
She was born Aug. 27, 1941 in Yukon to Rev. Hubert and Fern Welch.
She grew up on a farm north of Seminole and attended Strother High School. She graduated as the valedictorian of the Class of 1959.
Dunn attended Seminole Junior College in the fall of 1959.
She moved to Miracle Valley, Ariz. in January of 1960.
She had retired as a high school teacher several years ago.
Dunn was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Welch.
She is survived by her husband, Bud Dunn; two children, Deborah Shelton of Fairbanks, Ala., and Timothy Dunn of Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Melodie Fulmer and Carol Christensen; and six brothers, Butch, Buddy, Dick, Don, Mick, and Dean Welch.
Jessie Dye
Funeral services for Seminole county resident, Jessie Dye are pending with the Swearing Funeral Home.
She died July 31, 2003, at the age of 72 in Seminole.

Connie Edwards
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Connie "Blanche" Edwards were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at the Historic Strothers Chapel with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating.
Interment followed at the Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Edwards died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at the age of 99 at Autumn Woods Nursing Home in Warren Mich.
She was born Dec. 5, 1903, in Fort Cobb (Indian Territory) to Edward E. Rinehart and Angelina (Pile) Rinehart.
She was married to Clarence L. Baker, who preceded her in death in 1948.
She married William Burton "W.B." Edwards, who also preceded her in death on March 27, 1981.
She was a Seminole resident for more than 60 years, moving here from Drumright.
She was a homemaker and seamstress at Herrin’s Ladies Wear in Seminole.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Seminole and a member of Eastern Star.
Her parents, husbands, one son, R.A. Baker and her stepson, Don Mitchell, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, W.D. "Bill" Baker of Bradenton, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Lavonne Garrison of Ariz.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mary Ehrlich
Funeral services for Wewoka native Mary Ehrlich were scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday athe Okeene Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Rev. Larry Schneider was to officiate.
Burial was to follow in the East Cooper Cemetery in Loyal under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene .
Ehrlich died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003 at the age of 81.
She was born Jan. 20, 1922 in Wewoka to Albert and Kate Danielson.
She was a resident of the Okeene community for over 50 years until moving to the Seminole area 20 years ago.
Ehrlich attended Butner Schools and was a member of the Okeene seventh Day Adventist Church and the Seminole Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was an artist.
She married Melvin Ehrlich in Geary on Aril 14, 1938. He survives her of the home.
Ehrlich was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, David Eaton; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is also survived by one daughter, Melvina Lou Thomas of Monte Vista, Colo.; two sisters, Dean Freeman of Midwest City and Betty Freeman of Shawnee; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the S.D.A. Church of Shawnee.
Christopher Deon
Antonio Elbert
Funeral services for Christopher Deon Antonio Elbert, grandson of Rev. Emmet and Audrey Elbert, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow.
He died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at the age of 21 months in Wewoka.
He was born on Oct. 12, 2001 in Oklahoma City to Rufus Jefferson and Crystal Elbert.
Interment will be at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow.
Robert Elkins
Funeral services for Bowlegs resident Robert E. Elkins have been planned for a later date in Springfield, Mass., according to Swearingen Funeral Home.
Elkins died at his residence on Monday, Feb. 24, 2003 at the age of 85.
He was born to Edgar H. Elkins and Annie Sanders on Feb. 10, 1918 in Springfield, Mass.
Elkins graduated from Dartmouth College in 1939, and Thayer School of Engineering in 1940.
He married Myrtle Hockenberry.
He was a former president of Adams and Ruxton Construction Company in Springfield, Mass., and was a veteran of World War II.
Elkins was a member of the Samuel D. Sherwood Lodge of Masons, and active Civitan member and Eagle Scout Troop 25 of the First Baptist Church, and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Myrtle Hockenberry in 1985.
Elkins is survived by one son, Jake Elkins, Jackson, Wyo.; two daughters, Elizabeth Elkins, Enfield, Conn., and Susanne Major, Seminole; one sister, Dorothy Giddings, Grantspass, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
Cecilia Elliott
Funeral services for Cromwell resident Cecilia L. Elliott were scheduled for this afternoon at Cromwell Baptist Church.
Rev. Carl Whitfield was set to officiate.
Interment followed at Schoolton Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
Elliott died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 at Unity Health Center of Shawnee at the age of 65.
She was born July 12, 1937 in Talala to James B. and Elena (Kniffen) Epple.
She had been a resident of Cromwell for 45 years where she managed the local Stuckey’s Pecan Shoppe for 20 years before retiring.
Elliott was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cromwell.
She also served as a Butner School Board member.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenneth Walter Elliott Jr.; one brother, James Mallay Epple; and two sisters, Deloris Lay and Bonnie Spurgeon.
Elliott is survived by three daughters, Jeanny Allensworth of Cromwell, Sherta Elliott of San Diego, Texas, and Sylvia Smith of Guthrie; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Patty Epple of Dewey and Charles Epple of Nowata; and one sister, Juanita Anders of Nowata.
Pallbearers were Dane Allensworth, Rusty Elliott, James Hewitt, Floyd Hewitt, David Hewitt, John Mark Spurgeon, Robert Hassell, and Jimmy Factor.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl Warrington, Gene Warrington, Kenneth Edgemond, Kenneth DeShields, John L. Spurgeon, and Leon Brown.
Bessie Lee Ellis
Funeral services for former Seminole resident, Bessie Lee "Bess" Ellis, are scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
She died May 4, 2003, at the age of 99 at the Seminole Medical Center.
She was born on July 17, 1903 in Tecumseh to Francis Marion Jones and Lyda (Dyer) Jones.
She graduated from Central High School near Maud.
On July 16, 2927, she married Ray Ellis in Shawnee.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Central Church of Christ in Shawnee as well as a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
She had been a resident in Shawnee and Seminole most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Ellis; two sons, Kenneth and Jimmie Ellis; one granddaughter and three sisters, Sadie Jones, Georgia Cash and Marie White.
Whe is survived by two daughters, Dixie Byerly of Seminole and Imogene McCartin of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandsons, 4 great-grandsons, one sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.
The services will be officiated by Dwayne Dennis under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park of Shawnee.
