Robert E. Brown died Sept. 9, 2002 in Paris, Texas. He was 88.
Robert Brown was born April 21, 1914 in Stanley to W.C. and Nora (Sparks) Brown. He married Buena Hill on Jan. 1, 1938 in Tulsa.
He was a graduate of Hugo High School and life-long member of this community and a member of the First Methodist Church of Hugo. He was an appliance repairman and was self-employed. He was very well known for sales and repairs of vacuum cleaners and repairs of lamps. He also sold and made beautiful wind chimes.
He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Buena, of Hugo; two sons, Ken Brown and wife Gail of McKinney, Texas and Michael Brown and wife Sandra of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Rachel Terrana, Ryan Brown, Kevin Brown and Erin Hernandez; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Cameron Hernandez and Matthew Brown.

Frank Eugene Ticer
Funeral services for Frank E. Ticer were at 10 a.m Sept. 11 at the Hugo Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. Roylia Akins officiated the ceremony.
Frank died Sept. 5, 2002 at his home in Hugo. He was 85.
Frank is survived by three sons; John Ticer, Frank Ticer Jr. and Donell Ticer, all of Los Angeles, one sister; Melinda Hayes of Oklahoma City and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Daisy Ann Farris

Daisy Ann Farris, formerly of Boswell, died Nov. 7, 2002 in Kaufman Texas. She was 91.
Daisy Ann Farris was born March 31, 1911 in Boswell to Pete and Mittie (Linny) Kemp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son and two sisters.
She is survived by five daughters, Jean Brinkley of Boswell, Virginia Jones and Josephine Overman of Cedar Creek Lake, Texas, Dora Minyard of Irving, Texas and Nelda Luna of San Antonio; four step-children, on sister; Essie Baker of Boswell; twenty-three grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 14 great- great-grandchildren.
Ova Morse
Services for Ova Morse were at 2 p.m. Nov. 8, 2002 at the Rattan Assembly of God Church in Rattan. The Rev. Keith Williamson officiated the ceremony. He was assisted by the Rev. Kent Jensen. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 7, 2002 at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frank Lee Morse.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Lee Morse of Rattan; two daughters, Betty Kerr of Rattan and Jan Jones of Antlers; one sister, Flossie Meisenhiemer of Antlers, ten grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, nine great- great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lillian B. Elliott, formerly of Hugo, died Oct. 31, 2002 in Cushing. She was 92.
Lillian B. Elliott was born Oct. 9, 1910 in Berryville, Ark. to Lincoln and Dixie Ann (Bailey) Hatton. She married Frank Elliott Nov. 3, 1924 in Clayton.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Elliott in 1997/ two sons, Alfred Elliott and Bill Elliott; three daughters, Judy Bury, Dixie Reynolds and Hazel Johnston; nine brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by one son, Billy Joe Elliott of Tulsa; three daughters, Frankie Meyers of Sapulpa, Marie Hamby of Grant and Betty Stone of Cushing; one sister, Lou Hatton of Sand Springs; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.
Louis M. Stallings

Louis M. Stallings, of Boswell, died Nov. 1, 2002 in Durant. He was 68.
Louis was born Feb. 9, 1934 in Boswell to Euel Stallings and Irene (Latham) Stallings.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Latham Smith, one brother, Clinton Stallings of Atoka and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen Thompson

Mary Ellen Thompson died Nov. 4, 2002 in Hugo. She was 64.
Mary Ellen Thompson was born Aug. 22, 1938 in Broken Bow to Oscar and Katie (Stevenson) Hulsey.
She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers, Glenn and Bennie Hulsey and one grandson, Kenny Lathan.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenda K. Lathan and Barbara Moffit, both of Hugo; one son, William R. Thompson of Hugo; her mother, Katie Hulsey of Hugo, three brothers, Willis Hulsey of Paris, Texas, Leon Hulsey of Kilgore, Texas and Charlie Hulsey of Brookston, Texas; one sister, Delphia Murphy of Eugene, Oregon; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
