Mother was truly the heart of our home, and she loved her family dearly.
Mother’s wisdom and advice gave us children strength in many situations.
Little visits and large family gatherings with her ten siblings were especially enjoyable to her.
We all love her and will miss her tenderness and gentle spirit.
A true servant of God, Mother lived a full life serving the Lord and ministering His love to countless people.
In her early years she served as a lay minister in small country churches, and later taught adult Sunday school classes for over twenty-five years.
We will treasure our memories of her reading and studying the Bible daily and always praying.
The first and last church of which she was a member was Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, southwest of Wewoka.
Minnie was an avid reader and her favorites were devotional and Christian books, biographies and keeping up with current events.
Mother lived with Elsie for nineteen years and I want to pay tribute to Elsie for all the love and devotion she gave our mother.
No one could have taken better care of her, and I’m certain her excellent care contributed to Mother’s long life.
Thank you, Elsie.
Our thanks to a wonderful caregiver, Susana Tovar, for her tender and gentle way of helping with Mother.
"Miss Minnie", as she was known to her daughters’ Texas friends, looked forward to Susana coming and loved her so much.
We all do.
