Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, James R. Johnson were set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City.
He died July 12, 2003, at the age of 64.
He was born on April 16, 1939, in Bowlegs to Willie and Tava Johnson.
He was an early graduate of Del City High School, excelled in wrestling, track and football. He was recruited to wrestle for OU, was an avid fisherman and hunter as well as a 1st Lt. in the Army and a 32nd degree mason.
He joined the Oklahoma County Sheriffs Mounted Patron in Feb, 1988.
He planted a large garden, supplying relatives, friends and neighbors the good things he produced.
He worked with wood all his life, recently selling the last company he founded, Johnson Crafting Company.
He is survived by his wife, Kay; two sons, Nick and Jeff; one sister, LaVon Linton; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Joseph Jack Johnson
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Joseph Jack Johnson, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ of Wewoka.
Johnny Hinton and Eddie Neill will officiate.
Committal Service and interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Crystal Cemetery, Southeast of Atoka, in Atoka County, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Johnson died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at his home North of Wewoka, at the age of 84.
He was born in the Farris Community, Atoka County, Okla. on Aug. 18, 1918, to Kent Johnson and Irene McClendon Johnson.
Johnson grew up in Atoka County and attended school in Crystal and graduated from Atoka High School.
He was a self-employed farmer and rancher throughout his lifetime.
Johnson moved to Wewoka about 18 years ago to be closer to his family.
Johnson is survived by his sister, Edith Loree Jeffery, Wewoka; one nephew Kent Winters, Shawnee; three nieces, Joy Zeier, Phallis Taylor, and Nelda Neill, all of Wewoka; 9 great nephews and nieces and 8 great-great nephews and nieces, and a number of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edwin Johnson; and one sister, Rosemond Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Johnson’s great-nephews, Russell Neill, Scotty Taylor, Aaron Taylor, James Zeier, Gabe Savely and Rod Hawkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rowdy Kincade, Raymond Cain, Larry Bailey, and John Bender.
Londo Johnson
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Londo Earl Johnson, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church.
Revs. Robert Cocke and Houston Tiger will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Middle Creek #2 Church Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada at the age of 71.
He was born to Willeya Johnson and Mammie (Stewart) Johnson on Aug. 15, 1931 in Wewoka, and attended Hilltop Schools in Wewoka.
Londo married Joy (Jones) Johnson on May 5, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas.
He was a retired welder, working for Independent Tank Company.
Londo attended the Middle Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Mammie Graham and Anice Johnson; three brothers, Freeman Johnson, Leeman Johnson, and John Taylor; and one half-sister, Edna Miller.
Londo is survived by his wife, Joy, of the home; one son, Albert Johnson, of the home; daughters and son-in-laws, Janice and Bobby Gardner, Midland, Texas, Linda Johnson, Roundrock, Texas, Leema and Gary Dewitt, Creyton, Mo., Nancy and Joe Bardeleben, Leandor, Texas, Amanda and Chauncey Cravens, Wewoka, and Tawanna and Mike McElroy, Cromwell; two step-sons, Damon and Brian Bearden; one step-daughter, Lisa Harris; two sisters, Leona Moppin, Seminole, and Julia Johnson, Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren, Billy, Russell, and Randy Gardner, Joseph Bardeleben, Tim Graham, Bryton, Damon, and Joyce Cravens, Brent Graham, Caleb and Jacob McElroy, and Crystal Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Revyn and Chasen Brown, Makayla Graham, and Kimberlyn Gardner.
Mr. Johnson’s grandsons will serve as casket bearers.
Arlene Johnston
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Arlene Smith Johnston, are scheduled for 2 p.m, . Thursday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Arlene passed away Monday, March 10, 2003.
She was born to Mr. and Mrs. L.N. Smith on Aug. 3, 1924 in Oilton.
Her family moved to Seminole when she was four-years-old.
Arlene was the youngest child and only daughter, growing up with two brothers, Foy and Troy Smith.
She was a 1942 graduate of Seminole High School.
On April 9, 1945, Arlene married Charles Johnston Jr.
Arlene gave birth to one son, State Senator Jeff Johnston.
He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1982.
Arlene is survived by many who loved her including her husband Charles Johnston, Jr., of the home, one brother, Troy Smith, Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Katie Roberts, Jeff Morris, and Peter Morris; and her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Grace Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Don Gill, Larry Branscum, Dickey Bryan, Bryon Gates, and Stanley Blakemore.
Her family is confident of her faith and that she went home to the Lord God and is reunited with her son.
Jeffrey Smith Johnston-Morris
Private funeral services for Former Seminole resident, Jeffrey Smith Johnston- Morris are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Historic Strothers Chapel at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
He died Aug. 2, 2003, at the age of 22 in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Gwendolyn Jones
Funeral services for lifelong Konawa resident Gwendolyn Lee Jones were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at the Sasakwa Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa.
Rev. Wesley Martin was to officiate the services.
Burial was to follow at the Vamoosa Cemetery, under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Jones died Friday, May 16, 2003 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 63.
She was born to Johnny Pickett and Gladys (Van) Pickett on Jan. 13, 1940 in Wewoka.
She married Bobby Jones on May 27, 1957 in Konawa.
Jones was a seamstress with Wrangler, and was a member of the Sasakwa Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant son, David Jones.
Jones is survived by her husband, Bobby, of the home; three sons, Johnny Jones, Maud, Michael Jones, Shawnee, and Eric Jones, St. Louis; one daughter, Ladonna Bryce, Konawa; one sister, Nyoka Griffen, Shawnee; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Helen Jones
Graveside services for Seminole County native, Helen Lee Coursey Jones will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27 at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, with Brother Bobby Roe, officiating.
Jones died Thursday, December 25, 2003, at the age of 76 at the McLoud Nursing Center.
She was born May 20, 1926, in Wewoka.
Jones is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jones, and her parents, Gus and Bernice (Sturgis) Coursey.
She is survived by one son, Howard Scroggins of Virginia Beach, Va; one daughter, Melody (Scroggins) Butler, Utah; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Harber of Midwest City and Peggy Scism of Wewoka; one brother, Robert Coursey of Wewoka; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lincoln Earl Jones
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident, Lincoln Earl "Tego" Jones are scheduled for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
He died June 7, 2003, at the age of 20, at the University Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
He was born Feb. 7, 1983, in Ada, to Thomas Frederick Jones, Sr. and Sylvia Jean Harjo.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lina Harjo; his brother, Glen Ray Harjo; and two nephews, Jacob Harjo and Jeremy Snyder.
Survivors include Thomas Jones, Sr. and Sylvia Jean Harjo, both of Seminole, mother of his children, Cassendra Underwood; daughter, Cameron Rae Jones; his son, Ashton Ray Jones, all of the home; grandmother, Linda Alexander of Norman; two brothers, Thomas Frederick Jones, Jr. of the home and Dan Jones of Oklahoma City; sisters, Cathryn Harjo, Angela Harjo and Lana Jones, all of Seminole; Carolyn Jones of Moore and Muriel Wright of Tampa, Fla.
Wake services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the home of Angela Harjo.
Casket bearers will be Jimmy Harjo, Jr., Kirk Fye, Brandon Minner, Robbie Tiger, William Snyder and Kyle Coody.
Honorary bearers include Thomas Jones, Jr., Cameron Rae Jones and Ashton Ray Jones.
Revs. Dorsey Nero and Webster Fixico will officiate the services.
Interment will follow at the Harjo Family Cemetery under the direction of the Swearingen Funeral Home.
Loraine Jones
Funeral services for former Konawa resident Loraine Elva (Rhinehart) Jones are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Konawa.

Burial will follow at the Konawa City Cemetery, under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Jones died Sunday Jan. 26, 2003 in Topeka, Kan., at the age of 100.
She was born in Greenville, Texas on April 1, 1902.
Jones lived in Konawa most of her life, and married Owen B. Jones in 1918 in Konawa.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Konawa.
Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen Jones; one brother, Fred Rhinehart; and a half-brother, Johnny Johnson.
She is survived by one son, Theron Jones, Tuttle; three daughters, Nadine Novick, Hot Springs, Ark., Maxine Thomas, Oklahoma City, and Betty Flake, Topeka, Kan.; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
