Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident, Versa Gertrude Kimrey are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11 at Cromwell Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She died Aug. 7, 2003, at the age of 95 in Cromwell.
She was born Oct. 15, 1907, in Waco Texas to Guy and Minnie Young Johnson.
She married James Clifford Kimrey who precedes her in death.
She attended the Cromwell Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by two children, Pat Wood in 1988 and Lloyd Kimrey in 1927; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.
She is survived by her Children, Norman and Ruth Kimrey and June and Gene Stsricker, both of Eufaula, J.D. Kimrey and Ruby Kimrey, both of Wewoka, Kay and Joe Petis of Cromwell; sisters, Nora Webb and Beverly McIntosh, both of Tulsa; and one brother, Harold Johnson of Tioga, La.
Charles P. Craig and Harold Kimrey will officiate the services.
Interment will follow at Stroud Cemetery in Stroud under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Jason Lee King
Funeral services for former Seminole resident, Jason Lee King, of Wewoka are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at Bishop Chapel of Memories in McAlester.
Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, south of Seminole, at 2 p.m. under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Rev. Bart Effinger will officiate.
Family will greet friends at Bishop Funeral Home in McAlester on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
He died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at the age of 22 in Holdenville Regional Hospital.
He was born Nov. 23, 1980 in McAlester to Bryon and Gena Lashley King.
King grew up and attended schools in Konawa.
He married Heather Payne on April 8, 2000 in Seminole.
He was a mason and worked for Commercial Brick Company of Wewoka for the last year.
He was a baptized member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Bishop; grandfather, Joe King and one uncle, Scott King.
He is survived by his wife, Heather King, his son, Jeffery King, his daughter, Ireland King and his mother and father, Gena and Byron King and one sister, Chanelle Fischer, all of the home; one brother, Casey Hilton of Alva; two sisters, Shawna Bishop of Tahlequah; grandmothers, Fern King of Konawa and Helen Lashley of Holdenville; and several other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Justin Ellis, Shannon Leslie, Zac Hanks, Mark Hailey, Ronnie Guinn, Timmy Sanders and John Knight.
Honorary pallbearers are B.J. Grimes, Jacob LaPlante, Jarod LaPlante, Bill Shelton and Juan Garcia.
Keith Kingsbury
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Keith D. Kingsbury have been scheduled for April 21 at 11 a.m. at the Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh.
He was born on December 17, 1936 in Winfield, Kansas to Clyde C. and Julia May (Clark) Kingsbury.
He attended Beaver Creek and Otto grade schools and graduated from Dextger High School in 1955.
He grew up in Cowley County, Kansas and moved to Oklahoma in 1958, living in Prague and Seminole before moving to Choctaw.
He was married to Ann Barton.
He worked at Tinker Air Force Base for many years, retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed working with horses, watching John Wayne movies and was an avid sports fan.
He attended Highway Baptist Church, north of Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clyde Kingsbury.
He is survived by his wife, Ann of the home; two sons, Keith Wayne Kingsbury and Steven Kingsbury, both or Prague; three step-sons, Chuck Self of Ohio, Carey Self of Shawnee and Steven Self of Tecumseh; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one sister, Anna May Olson of Council Group, Kan; two brothers, Clark Kingsbury of Winfield, Kan., Kenneth Kingsbury of Shidler; and one step-daughter, Dana Frankovich.

Walter Kinsey
Funeral services for Seminole resident Walter Earl Kinsey are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
James Johnson will officiate the services.
Kinsey died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003 at his home at the age of 80.
He was born to James Hartley and Leota Lindsey on Feb. 17, 1923 in Casper, Wyo.
Kinsey had been a Seminole resident for 15 years moving here from Oxnard, Calif.
Kinsey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
He retired from the Navy in 1973, and was a steel worker for 23 years, and worked for Arcuturus Manufacturing Company.
Kinsey married Ruth Ann (Piersing) Kinsey on May 30, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was a lifetime member of the Shawnee VFW, and a member of the Seminole Elks Lodge.
Kinsey was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of the home; one son, Michael Kinsey, Gilbert, Ariz.; one daughter, Sharon Haley, Pt. Hueneme, Calif.; one step-daughter, Tammy Cicogna, Virginia Beach, Va.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Audrey Kreuzberg
Funeral services for Audrey Kreuzberg are scheduled for 2 p.m., March 18 at the Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh.
Rev. Carl Upton of the Free Penteostal Church of Maud will be officiating.
Interment will follow at the Tecumseh Cemetery.
Kreuzberg died March 14 at the age of 88.
She was born to Virgil and Gertie Jane (Minyard) Jackson on Sept. 14, 1914 in Macomb.
She was raised in Macomb and attended school at Forest View.
She lived in Tecumseh for several years, having recently moved to Maud.
She married F.J. Kreuzberg in Shawnee on Feb. 2, 1933.
Kreuzberg worked at the University of Oklahoma from 1946-1960 as a cook and then in the Tecumseh Public School System as a cook until her retirement.
She attended the Full Gospel Assembly Church in Tecumseh and was an avid Bible reader. She also enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Hardin of Broken Arrow; two sons, Jerry Kreuzberg of Maud and Ken Kreuzberg of Yukon; two sisters, Mary Jeffers of Tecumseh and Dorothy Lloyd of Shawnee, and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Harold Joe Krueger
Funeral services for Seminole native, Harold Joe Krueger are scheduled for Friday, Aug 8 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service, Shawnee.
He died Aug. 4, 2003, at the age of 66, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born July 5, 1937, in Seminole to Earvin and Emma (Jones) Krueger.
He graduated from Prairie Valley High School.
He was an air traffic controller, working in Hawaii, Missouri, New Mexico, New York and Oklahoma before retiring at Fort Worth, Texas in 1994.
He was a community volunteer, teaching computer and sailing classes to seniors at Tarrant County College, N.W. campus.
He was also a volunteer computer teacher at Senior Net and a volunteer at many Fort Worth and Dallas community and charity events.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1958.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas where he had been active in the singles class and served in the church’s local mission program, the Margarita Society; the Sportsman’s Club; Woodcarvers of Fort Worth, Tarrant Community College Computers Users Group and NARFE Chapter 30.
He was an avid sailor, docking his sailboat ‘My Lady’ at Harbor One.
He was an active member of the Cowtown Mariners in Fort Worth, Texas, serving in many offices including Commodore.
He captained this group on sails in Greece, the Carribean and other locations.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Bryan and two brothers, Earnest and Ray Krueger.
He is survived by one son, Harold S. ‘Chip’ Krueger of Coweta; two granddaughters; two sisters, Dlorah ‘Dee’ Krueter of Shawnee and Carlyon Middleton of Earlsboro; three brothers, Mark Krueger and Freddie White, both of Earlsboro and Leon Krueger of Shawnee; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
Family requests memorials be made to American Cancer Society, Community Hospice or Senior Net.
Services will be officiated by Phil Thompson.
Internment will follow in Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service, Shawnee.
Estella Lane
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident, Estella Mayfield Lane, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Holdenville City Cemetery with Chris Stinnett officiating.
Mayfield died April 20, 2003, at the age of 81 in the Seminole Medical Center.
She was born on March 2, 1922 in Hannah to Ed Ponder and Nettie (Fields) Ponder.
She married Delbert Lane on June 17, 1939 in Wetumka, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at Park and Seminole Street in Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Lane of Muskogee, Eddie Lane of Seminole and Phil Lane of Checotah; three daughters, Roberta Brooks of Seminole, Nettie Alberts of Maud and Carol Hanks of Phoenix, Ariz.; one half-brother, Bill Ponder of Pampa, Texas; and two half-sisters, Katherine "Happy" Davis and Dora Taylor both of Borger, Texas; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Services will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
