Graveside services for Marshall (MO, Shorty) Knight of Mountain Park will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Navajo Cemetery, Northeast of Altus, with Rev. Gerald Green officiating.
Knight died Wednesday at the age of 78 in his home in Mountain Park.
He was born September 11, 1924, in Bristow.
He was an employee of numerous salvage yards and a driver for J.R. Ivey and Phillip and Ned Shadid in the Altus area.
He also did mechanical work on farm machinery around the Headrick and Altus areas.
He married Thelma Ray Blackwell and had four children.
He then married Drath Blackwell on June 24, 1965 in Oklahoma City.
She died August 9, 1996.
They had four daughters and raised their family in Headrick.

Frankie F. Marshall
Funeral services for Frankie F. Marshall were scheduled for Friday morning, Oct 31 at 10 a.m. in the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah with Rev. Dennis Yeubanks officiating.
Interment is to follow at Highland Cemetery in Okemah under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Okemah.
Marshall died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at the age of 78 in Oklahoma City.
She was born June 4, 1925, in Tuskegee to Earl Irons and Ema (Blevins) Irons.
She had been a resident of the Okemah area most of her life, having been a member of the Mission Home Baptist Church, north of Wewoka.
She married Henry Watterson "Watt" Marshall Sept. 24, 1945, in Okemah.
He later preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1966.
She was a housewife and later worked in a mattress factory in Oklahoma City as a seamstress.
She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Warren Marshall of Oklahoma City and Roger Marshall of Bixby; one daughter, Ann Landers of Bethany; one brother, Raymond Irons of Okmulgee; one sister, Hazel Brewer of Cromwell; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Juanita Marson
Funeral services for Juanita Nora Marson, 78, Wewoka, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Hilltop Freewill Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Burial follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Marson was born on April 21, 1925, to Thedd and Nora Smith.
She married Jimmie Marson on May 8, 1948, in Wewoka.
The couple owned and operated Marson’s Grocery Superette in Wewoka for 9 years.
After retiring from the grocery business, they enjoyed camping and fishing.
Marson was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie, of the home; two sons, Ronnie Griffith, of Visalia, Calif., and Jimmy Don Marson, of the home; and two sisters, Geneva Kay, Wewoka, and Maryetta Davis, Visalia, Calif.
Pallbearers will be Richard Dale Kay, Harry Joe Kay, Ronnie K. Griffith, Jim Fleming, Dewey Muirhead, and David Calvert.
Byron Martin
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Byron Rudolph Martin are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Cline and Jim Waller officiating.
Interment will follow at the Cummings Cemetery in Maud under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Martin died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at the age of 92 at Seminole Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 21, 1911, in Newton County, Ark. to William Edward Martin and Minnie (Curtis) Martin.
He married Alma Rosetta (Walker) Martin on Oct. 30, 1936 in Seminole.
Martin worked for Pleasant Grove Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He was a Seminole resident for 84 years, moving her from Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alma Rosetta Martin on Oct. 22, 2001; one son, William Martin; one granddaughter, Gena Martin Hamilton and one great granddaughter, Kennedy Shook.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Martin and wife, Vickie of Okemah and Tommy Martin of Seminole; three daughters, Doris Roberts and husband, Ferlin of Alva, Sue Parsons and husband, Bill of Seminole and Mary Gates and husband, Billy Roy of Tecumseh; 14 grandchildren, Barry Roberts, Kellie Roberts, Ken Roberts, Lori Long, Charlie Martin, Lacey Martin, Jennifer Parsons, Chandra Moyer, Travis Gates, Kirk Gates, Leslie Fish, Barry Benett, Kim Walls and Kara Shook; and 15 great grandchildren, Kord and Katy Walls, Karsyn and Kooper Shook, Mason and Casey Roberts, Bailey Bell, Rheany Carson, Gabriel Long, Aaron Hamilton, Tabitha Martin, Chase Martin, Kelcee and Logan Bennett and Wil Moyer.
Casket bearers include Barry Roberts, Ken Roberts, Charlie Martin, Travis Gates, Kirk Gates and Paul Shook.
Mary Martin
Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Mary B. Martin, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Rev. Dan Anderson will officiate.
Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Mary passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 79.
She was born to Barney Blue and Dosalina (Contratto) Blue on Jan. 25, 1924 in Coalgate.
Mary graduated from Hartshorn High School in December of 1945, and married Walter Alvin Martin.
The couple made their home and reared their daughters in Wewoka.
Mary was employed by the Department of Human Services; retiring after 20 years of service.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where she was a choir member and taught Sunday School and Special Needs Sunday School.
Mary was a woman devoted to her family and church, and will be remembered in our community as a gentle person who genuinely cared for those around her.
Her children will forever cherish a mother’s unending legacy of love and devotion.
At the time of her death, Mary had been living in Norman for the past few years.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, John Blue; two sisters, Margaret Echelle and Jo Anna Blue; her son-in-law, Michael Secrest; and one great-granddaughter, Luci Mikel Secrest.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Secrest, Norman, and Cheryl Stephenson and her husband, Jon, Frisco, Texas; one sister, Dosalina Grego, McAlester; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Secrest, Scott Secrest, Jon Stephenson, Jr., John Livermore, Matt Crawford, and Chet Howard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Secrest, Gerald Hill, Durwood Tucker, and Max Filson.
Mary Collins
Services were held for Nancy Jane Collins, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee.
Born on March 15, 1936, in Seminole, she died February 26, 2003.
She was a registered nurse for 15 years in Arkansas, where she was held of the Oncology department.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard "Rip" Collins of Arkansas.
She is survived by three children, son Larry Sanford; daughters, DeeAnn Schroyer, Shawnee, and Judy "J.B." Sanford of Dallas, TX. Five grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren also survive her

Earl Lynn Mason
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident, Earl Lynn Mason, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
He died on May 29, 2003 at the age of 42, in the DVA Medical Center.
He was born on June 12, 1960, in Shawnee to Jack and Edith Mable (Braden) Mason.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
His parents and his birth father, Victor Mason, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Rachel Moon of Tahlequah and Misty Michelle Warner of Texarkana, Texas; and one half-brother, Kenneth Mason.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the services.
Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Opal Mason
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Opal Jewel (Lemons) Mason were scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Floyd Tate officiating.
Interment followed at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
She died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at the age of 91 at Unity North in Shawnee.
She was born March 18, 1912, in Honeygrove, Texas to Henry Lemons and Minnie (Denison) Lemons.
She married George J. Mason on Oct. 4, 1930 in Bonham, Texas.
She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Seminole.
She was of the Nazarene Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George, on Feb. 7, 1973; two brothers, Marvin Lemons and Curtis Lemons, two sisters, Elsie Kirkpatrick and Oneta Bickford; one grandson, Ricky Scott, and one granddaughter, Melinda Knott.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wilburn and Wanda Mason of Seminole, George and Donna Mason of Tecumseh and Terry Ray and Connie Mason of Shawnee; daughters and son-in-laws, Melba and Joe Gibbs of Mesquite, Texas, Peggy and Jim Dollarhide of Morrison, Linda (Novotny) and Dayton Barnes of Seminole and June and Mike Hume of Sulphur; one daughter, Margaret Scott of Seminole; two nephews, Loyd Bigford of Edmond and Bobby Jack Kirkpatrick of Denison, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
