Funeral services for Seminole High School graduate Earleta L. Myers are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Glen Pence is set to officiate.
Interment is to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Myers died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 at an Oklahoma City hospital at the age of 80.
She was born Dec. 27, 1922 in Clinton to J.E. and Leta (Pierce) Frazier.
She graduated from Seminole High School in 1941.
Myers was an operator for Southwestern Bell for 36 years and was a member of the Southwestern Bell Association, known as the "Pioneers."
She married Lawrence N. Myers on May 31, 1952 in Seminole.
She had been a Shawnee resident since 1956.
Myers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and an infant sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Wolfe of Edmond; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Parsons of Seminole.
Elbert Myers
Graveside services for Seminole County resident, Elbert Myers of Wewoka will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 27 at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Rev. Perry Justus will officiate.
Myers died Wednesday, Decc 24, 2003, at the age of 80 at Elmwood Nursing Home.
He was born on March 31, 1923, in Okemah, to Hugh and Nora (Huddleston) Myers.
He attended Okemah schools and married Evelyn McMullen on March 19, 1944, in Richmond, Calif..
He worked for Halliburton Oil Co. for 27 years then B.J. Hughes, and loved to tell oil field stories.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and accepted the Lord as his Savior on November 25, 2003.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, on Nov. 25, 2003, his parents, and two sons, Robert Dale Myers and James Douglas Myers.
He is survived by one son, Elbert Lynn Myers of Wewoka; one daughter, Cynthia Ann Myers of Wewoka; three grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons; one great granddaughter; and two brothers, Deane Kenneth Myers of Hydro, and Hugh Herbert Myers Jr. of Mansfield, Texas.
Evelyn E. Myers
Graveside services for Seminole County resident, Evelyn E. Myers are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, with Rev. Perry Justice officiating.
She died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at the age of 80.
She was born in Cromwell on March 18, 1923 to Herman Lee and Anna Hamilton McMullen.
Myers grew up in Seminole County and after graduating from school, she married Elbert Myers in Richmond Calif. on March 19, 1944.
She worked as a homemaker and loved oil painting, quilting, crocheting, canning and decoupage ceramics.
She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Wewoka.
She looked forward to the services at the nursing home, she knew and sang every song by heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James Douglas and Robert Dale Myers; two sisters, Louise Hendrix and Helen Wyrick; two brothers Bill and Ray McMullin; and one aunt, Minnie Vickery.
She is survived by her husband, Elbert Myers of Wewoka; one son, Elbert Lynn Myers of Wewoka; one daughter, Cynthia Ann Myers of Wewoka; two brothers, Clifton McMullin of Cardin and Eugene McMullin of Kingfisher; one aunt, Elfreeda Maynard; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews; friends and other relatives.
Melvin B. Myers
Funeral services for Seminole resident, Melvin B. Myers is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
He died Aug. 23, 2003, at the age of 85 in Oklahoma City.
He was born Dec. 23, 1917, in Wann to Harley Myers and Elizabeth (Patrick) Myers.
He was married to Martha Belle Knowles on Aug. 26, 1938 in Holdenville.
He was in retail gasoline and auto sales with Luboil, Inc.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
He was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church and was an active Sunday school teacher, a deacon and lay minister.
He had a great sense of humor, outgoing personality and was known and respected by all levels of society.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Belle Myers of Seminole; two sons, Ronald Myers of Norman and Leonard Myers of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Connie Jaggers of Tulsa; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Steve Myers, Tony Myers, Damon Myers, Kendall Myers, Gary Jaggers and Darren Jaggers.
Honorary casket bearers are Dave Kelly and Cal Skaggs.
Samuel Morris Myers Jr.
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Samuel Morris Myers, Jr., are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint Paul Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Rev. Willie Guient will officiate.
Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Mr. Myers passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville at the age of 99.
He was born to Samuel Myers and Patience Chandler Myers on Feb. 19, 1904 in West Point, a small town in Clay County, Miss.
Sammie’s early boyhood years were spent in West Point with two older brothers, Booker and Eugene.
After the death of his first wife, Patience Chandler Myers, his father married Ida B. Robertson.
While still a young boy, Sammie and his family moved to Seminole County.
He grew up in Oklahoma with six brothers and three sisters.
Sammie attended schools in Muskogee and Wewoka.
In his early adult life, Sammie worked with his father in the family business – The Myers Funeral Home.
In 1939, Sammie married Minnie L. Buckner.
Shortly after, the couple moved to Chicago, Ill., where they went into the grocery and real estate businesses.
Sammie owned and managed several apartment buildings in the City of Chicago.
After a successful career as an entrepreneur, Sammie retired to Wewoka where he and Minnie enjoyed old friends and lived a quiet life.
Samuel is survived by three loving sisters, Beatrice Scott Banks, Eunice Easley Tyree and Mildred Irene Carlton; one brother, Lennell Myers; a devoted cousin, Brady Brownlee; and nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
Geneva Ethel Myrick
Funeral services for Seminole resident Geneva Ethel Myrick, affectionately known to her family and friends as "Granny" and "Gen", were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Dr. Kelvin Moseley was to officiate the services.
Burial followed at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Geneva passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at the Seminole Estates Nursing Home at the age of 93.
She was born to Jesse Calvin Brown and Lilly (McDaniel) Brown on Feb. 20, 1910 in Sneed.
Geneva married John Russell Myrick on March 5, 1927 in Wilson.
She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, John, on May 3, 1989; her parents; one daughter, Pauline Beach; and one son, Elmer Myrick.
She is survived by three sons, Dick Myrick and Deairl Myrick, both of Seminole, and John Myrick, Midwest City; two brothers, Doyle Brown, Mustang, and Claude Brown, Oklahoma City; 10 grandsons; three granddaughters; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Myrick’s 10 grandsons, Jerry Myrick, David Myrick, Eldon Myrick, Ricky Myrick, Mike Myrick, Terry Myrick, David A. Myrick, Charley Myrick, Larry Beach, and Gary Don Beach.
Amber Nadeau
Funeral services for former Seminole employee, Amber Leigh Nadeau, of Shawnee, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 at the Evangelistic Center with Rev. Mark McIntosh officiating.
Interment will follow at the Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
She died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at the age of 23 in Oklahoma City.
She was born May 12, 1980, in Raton N.M. to Sidney Edward Rendleman and Cecilia Ann Smith.
She attended Earlsboro High School where she graduated in 1998.
She then attended East Central University in Ada where she graduated with a nursing degree.
While attending ECI, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Who’s Who among Nursing Students and graduated Cum Laude.
She married Michael Nadeau on Aug. 5, 2000, in Shawnee.
She worked as an RN with Black Hills Dialysis in Seminole.
She enjoyed being with her family, spending time at the lake and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Nadeau of the home; one son, Kolby Allen Nadeau of the home; Cecilia Smith of Shawnee; father, Sid Rendleman of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Jason Rendleman of Shawnee; as well as her grandparents and many other relatives.
