Funeral services for Seminole resident John Stanfill are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Stanfill died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 at his home at the age of 77.
He was born May 16, 1925 in Romley, Mo. to William Henry and Frances (McCormick) Stanfill.
He married Eunice Marie (Wiley) on May 25, 1946 in New Madrid, Mo.
Stanfill was a cross country truck driver before retiring in 1989.
He was a corporal in the United States Army and was a member of the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vernon Stanfill.
Stanfill is survived by his wife of the home; five sons, John W. Stanfill Jr. of Idaho, James E. Stanfill of Shawnee, David W. Stanfill of Seminole, and Roger A. Stanfill and Randall Stanfill, both of Rogers, Ark.; five daughters, Joyce Benn, Georgina Marshall, Kathleen Shaw, and Pamela Stanfill, all of Seminole, and Ramona Stanfill of Washington; one brother, Tommy Stanfill of Empire, Calif.; one sister, Bess Anderson of Iowa; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers are Shane Stanfill, Daniel Stanfill, Chris Bryant, Jeremiah Stanfill, Craig Nunnelley, and Joe Don Stanfill.
Honorary bearers are Jeff Bryant, Dax Benn, Kylar Benn, Jared Marshall, and Jack Stanfill.

Kenny Stapp
Funeral services for Seminole resident Kenny Joe (K.J.) Stapp, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel in Tecumseh.
Rev. Ron Sheppard will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery in Macomb, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.
Stapp died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003 in Seminole at the age of 51.
He was born to K.W. and Bobbie Jo (Roselius) Stapp on April 18, 1951 in Shawnee.
Stapp was reared west of Tecumseh and lived in Tecumseh most of his life, and attended Tecumseh Schools.
He had resided in Seminole for two years.
Stapp was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.
In 1992, he married Vickie Verre Bryan in Van Buren, Ark.
Stapp was a cement finisher, working in the construction field.
He also worked in gas plant production.
Stapp was a member of the Grandparents PTA of Lawton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stapp is survived by his wife, Vickie, of the home; one son, Shane Babb, Lawton; one sister, Judy Monroe, Tecumseh; and one granddaughter.
Carl Blain Stark
Memorial services for former Seminole County resident, Carl Blain Stark are scheduled for a later date at Fresno Memorial Gardens in Fresno, Calif. under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Stark died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the age of 82 at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee.
He was born May 10, 1921 in Howe to John L. Stark and Frances (Young) Stark.
He was married to Caroline Stark, who preceded him in death.
Stark was in the landscaping business and served in World War II in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline in 1985; his parents; one brother, Porter Stark; and one son, Carl Edward Stark.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Kevin Stark of Farmington, Ark. and April Phillips of Prairie Grove, Ark; two great grandchildren, Devon and Blaine Phillips of Prairie Grove, Ark. and his companion of the home, Ruth Driskill of Shawnee.
Shelvy Stephens
Word was received of the death of Wewoka native Shelvy N. Stephens.
Stephens died on Feb. 17, 2003 in Portland, Ore. at the age of 67.
Stephens was cremated and no services were held.
He was born on April 2, 1935 in Wewoka, and was a 1953 graduate of Wewoka High School, and was a welder by trade.
Stephens married Kathleen Bosh in 1965, and she preceded him in death in 1991.
He is survived by three daughters, Kimberly, Sharon, and Shelly; two brothers, Curtis and H.B. Jr.; and three sisters, Norma, Letha, and Wilma.
Peggy Stewart
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident, Peggy June Stewart are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Dennis Yeubanks will officiate.
She died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the age of 68 at Perry Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 3, 1935, in Seminole to Porter Parsons and Tressie (Starcher) Nix.
She married Marvin M. Stewart on Jan. 5, 1960 in Ada.
Stewart was a longtime resident of Seminole but moved to Perry in January 2003.
She owned the Village Inn Restaurant in Seminole County.
She was a member of the 32nd Degree Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marvin Maurice Stewart on Jund 23, 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Dewayne Stewart of Perry and Bill L. Johnson of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
Hattie Bell Stout
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident, Hattie Bell Stout, 92, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funer Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Long officiating.
Stout died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at her home southwest of Seminole.
She was born January 9, 1911 in Atkins, Ark. to Daniel and Lillie F. (Sides) Barefield.
Stout was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
She married Albert B. Stout, former owner of Stout’s Hardward, on May 4, 1929 in Vian. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1984.
Stout is survived by three daughters and sons-in-laws, June and Bill Ely and Juanita and Lewis Smith of Oklahoma City; and Evelyn and Lloyd Bolding of Kilgore, Texas; four grandchildren, Cynthia Ely Wilson and husband, Jay of Albuquerque, N.M.; Roger Ely of Oklahoma City; Bo Bolding and wife, Beth of Longview, Texas and Jeff bolding and wife, Tami of Kilgore, Texas; nine great grandchildren, Emily and Elizabeth Wilson of Albuquerque, N.M., Blaine, Brandon, Brooke and Brady Bolding of Longview, Texas and Josh, Jake and Jack Bolding of Kilgore, Texas.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mac Brisco and Jeanne Weston of Atoka, and several nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers are Roger Ely, Bo Bolding, Jeff Bolding, Bill Reynolds, Curt Gwaltney and Vernon James.

Dean ‘Smoky’ Stover
Funeral services for Seminole resident, Dean L. "Smoky" Stover are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Karges.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Stover died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at the age of 76 at his home in Seminole, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Oilton to Leroy L. Stover and J. Opal Wilkie.
He married Lillie F. (Harrison) on May 12, 1979, in Wagoner.
He worked for AMOCO research center for 34 years retiring in June, 1986.
Stover moved to Seminole 21 years ago from Tulsa.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the First United Church, the Elks Lodge in Tulsa and was a big supporter of Seminole State College.
During a basketball game at SSC in October 2003, they had "Smoky Stover Night" to honor his dedication to Seminole State Athletic Programs.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie F. Stover of the home; one son, Jon W. Holden of Seminole; one daughter, Sondra Pierce of Tulsa; one brother, Stewart L. Stover of Lafayette, La.; two nephews, Stewart Lynn Stover III and Brad Stover; two nieces, Stacy Boudreaux and Dr. Shree’ Stover; grandchildren, James Pace, Melissa Holden and Jonah Brown and great grandchildren, Sean Lewis and Patrick Pace.
Casket bearers are Neil Craig, Jim Utterback, Mark Dicus, Tim Poplin, David Horton and Larry Smith.
