Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident, Edd "Bud" Streater were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Midway Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Rev.’s Kellos Walker, Phillip Mullens and Bart Effinger will officiate.
Interment followed to Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Streater died at Wewoka Nursing Center on April 6, 2003 at the age of 83, following a brief illness.
He was born on August 3, 1919 in Wewoka to George K. Streater and Lula Mae (Nelms) Streater who precede him in death.
He was a graduate of Wewoka High School.
He married Loneta Roberta (Northcott) Streater in December, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years, Loneta Roberta and six sisters; Ollie Browning, Fleece Carpenter, Stella Baxter, Lillie Streater, Willie F. Houser, and Edith Hawk; and one brother, Hayes Streater.
He is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Slater of the home, one son, Ben Streater and wife Beverly of Wewoka; one sister, Gladys "Tookie" Moss of Enid; three grandsons, Darin Slater, Eddie Streater and Terry Streater; two great-grandsons, Greg Streater and Eric Streater; three great-great grand children, Trinity, Cameron and Taylor; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers will be L.D. Tribble, Bennie Wilkerson, Howard Tyler, Dewey Muirhead, Warren Jones, John Harlan, Raymond Cain, Lloyd Bise, Walter Ball, Carl Barnes, Roy Kibby, and Kim Summerfield.
Honorary bearers are Butch McCracken, Fred Lacaquement, Durwood Tucker, Revel Johnson, and Vic Watts.
Jack Alton Streetman
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident, Jack Alton Streetman are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Konawa Performing Arts Center at the Konawa Public School.
He died June 25, 2003, at the age of 82 at Ballard Nursing Home, Ada.
He was born April 24, 1921 in Okemah to Francis Marion Streetman and Effie (Bass) Streetman.
He was married to Wilda Walker on Nov. 9, 1947, at the First Baptist Church in Konawa.
He has been a resident of Konawa since 1930.
He was the owner of Streetman’s Grocery in Konawa.
He graduated from OSU, which was Oklahoma A & M, in 1942.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a first lieutenant, serving during World War II.
He was a member of the Konawa First Baptist Church, Konawa Lion’s Club and served as zone chairman and governor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank Streetman and Morris Streetman.
He is survived by his wife, Wilda Streetman of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kim Streetman of Konawa; one daughter and son-in-law; Shelley and Fred Sawatzky of Stillwater; two grandchildren, Zachary Heister and Brett Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rev. Charley Henthorn will officiate the services.
Interment will follow at Konawa City Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Tommye Stringer
Graveside funeral services for former Wewoka resident Tommye Hayes Redding Stringer are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Stringer died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003 while a resident of Strake House in Conroe, Texas. She was 97.
She was born May 13, 1905 in Boaz, Ala. to Thomas and Connie Oddell Hayes.
She was active in the First Baptist Church where she offered her musical talents.
Stringer is survived by two daughters, Marcine Remeer of Bryan, Texas and Tommye Hayden of Conroe, Texas; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Herman L. Redding in 1944; her second husband, Col. Ralph E. Stringer in 1987; and two grandchildren.
Francetta Warrior Stubblefield
Funeral services for Francetta Warrior Stubblefield are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday at Thomas Town Baptist Church in Sasawka.
Rev. Famous Cochran is set to officiate.
Internment will follow at Thomas Town Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Stubblefield died Wednesday, Feb. 5 at her home in Sasakwa following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 27, 1953 in Seminole to Herman Warrior and Bertha Thurman Warrior.
She was reared in Seminole County and received her education at New Model Elementary and graduated from Sasakawa High School. Following graduation, she attended Oklahoma State Tech and graduated in 1975.
She married Melvin Stubblefield Sr. in Omaha, Neb. and he preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2002.
Stubblefield worked for AT&T and later as a teacher’s aide in Nebraska until her illness. She then returned to Oklahoma with her family. She was a lifelong member of Thomas Town Baptist Church where she was baptized at an early age.
She is survived by son, Kaylum Stubblefield of the home; stepson, Melvin Stubblefield, Jr., Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren; sister, Jan Warrior of Sasakawa; brothers Kenneth Warrior, Russell Warrior and Kerry Warrior.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Pallbearers will be L.B. Garfield, Johnny Glasm, Wellington Dindy Jr., Rudolph Garfield, Tommy Olden, and Mainard Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Thurman, J.B. Thurman, James Thurman, and Calvin Harjo.
Flower girls will be Linda James, Dezeree Bradshaw, Lula Samilton, Jerena Guess, Marilyn Gueint. Honorary flower girls will be Francis Woodfork, Mary Lee Taylor and Maxcine Thurman.
Jose Sublett
Funeral services for former Seminole County native, Jose "Loretta" (Barnhart) Sublett of Holdenville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3 in the Stout-Phillips Chapel, Rev. James Hopkins, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Sublett died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at the age of 82 in the OU Medical Center.
She was born on September 10, 1921, in Sasakwa to Mark and Birdie (Wynn) Barnhart and graduated from Sasakwa schools.
She married Jack Sublett on Nov. 4, 1940, on Rock Cliff, near Sasakwa.
She was a member of the Sasakwa Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Sublett, of the home; one daughter, Sandie Blann of Holdenville; two granddaughters, Mona Hickerson of Holdenville, and Rene Stewart of Denver, Colo.; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin Barnhart of Cushing and Byrul Barnhart of Wewoka.
Pallbearers will be Joe Blann, Bill Sublett, Leroy Phillips, Billy Jack Norman, Mark Barnhart, and David Barnhart.

Bill Sutton
Funeral services were held for former Seminole County resident, Bill Sutton on Dec. 10 in Edmond at the Baggerly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wally Weavor, pstor of the Henderson Hills Baptist Church officiating.
Interment was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.
Sutton died Dec. 7, 2003, at the age of 74 at Edmond Memorial Hospital in Edmond.
He was born June 1, 1929, in Morris, the youngest of ten children born to Jesse and Alma Sutton.
He moved to the Konawa area with his family in 1938. He attended school at Vamoosa and graduated with the class of 1947.
Sutton married Lillie Norman on Sept. 7, 1948 and to this union was born two sons and one daughter.
On Sept 29, 1962, he married Leta Birdwell.
He worked in the Seminole oil fields and later spent many years as a long haul trucker.
Sutton was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earnest, Arnon and Clyde Sutton; two sisters, Clarice Rigdon and Mamie Sutton; and his first wife, Lillie Norman Sutton.
He is survived by his wife, Leta of the home in Edmond, one daughter, Jeanie Lutton of Tulsa; two sons, Tony and Raymond Sutton of Bartlesville; two step-sons, Leo and Thomas of Edmond; two brothers, Carl Sutton of Konawa and Walter Sutton of Seminole and two sisters, Lorena Carter of Konawa and Leola Scott of Tucson, Ariz.
Phena Jo Wise Talamasey
Funeral services for Seminole resident Phena Jo Wise Talamasey are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Houston Tiger is set to officiate.
Burial is to follow at Narcomey family cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
The body will be taken to Sand Creek Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Sunday where it will lie in state until Monday.
A wake service is planned for 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Talamasey died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003 following an auto accident south of Bowlegs. She was 36.
She was born July 23, 1966 in Shawnee to Andrew and Carolyn (Tanyan) Talamasey.
She was a homemaker.
Talamasey was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Gorsuch Jr.; one daughter, Jessie Golden; and one brother, Jessie Wise Talamasey.
She is survived by her parents; one son, Andrew Talamasey of Shawnee; two daughters, Tjuana Grace Talamasey of Seminole and Louanna Fields of Shawnee; and two sisters, Madelyn Febworth of Seminole and Andi Duan Wise Talamasey of Oklahoma City.
Alma L. Taylor
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Alma L. Taylor are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee.
She died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the age of 93.
She was born Nov. 7, 1909, in Prague to William A. Adams and Grace Sanders Adams.
She married Major. L. Taylor Feb 26, 1927, in Shawnee.
She worked for 36 years as a sales clerk at Blaine’s in Shawnee.
She was a member of South Rock Creek Baptist Church in Shawnee and enjoyed sewing and music.
She is survived by four sons, Kenneth Taylor of Seminole, Don Taylor of Kingston, Theron Taylor of Oceola and Harold Taylor of Wyoucca Valley, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and one sister Gene Adams of Midwest City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two children, W.A. Taylor and Beatrice Harris; and two sisters, Juanita Cash and Geniva Martin.
