Graveside funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Calvin Edward Williams are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery.
Chris Stinett is set to officiate.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Williams died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 78.
He was born July 11, 1924 in Wewoa to William Edward and Minnie Edith (Ginn) Williams.
He married Mildred L. Williams on Feb. 15, 1947 in Seminole.
Williams was an oil well engineer.
He served in the navy from 1945 to 1952 at a hospital corpsman third class.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Williams was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 16, 2002; and one, Patrick Williams.
He is survived by one son, Mike Williams of Bellevue, Texas; one daughter, G’Lou Pouland of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Inez Shields and Billie Burget, both of Shawnee; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Harold ‘J.R.’ Williams Jr.
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Harold Dean ‘J.R.’ Williams Jr. are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Building located at the Harrah-Newalla Road and Highway 9.
Wake services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Building, with the viewing beginning on Friday morning.
He died Aug. 5, 2003, at the age of 24 in Shawnee.
He was born Dec. 28, 1978, in Lawton to Harold Williams, Sr. and Carolyn (Johnson) Williams.
He attended schools in Denver and New Lima.
He was reared in Wewoka, Shawnee and Denver, Colo.
He returned to Shawnee in 2000 where he had resided since.
He worked as a roofer with Coates Roofing in Seminole as well as working in carpentry.
He was a member of the Absentee Shawnee and Seminole Tribes.
He enjoyed taking care of his brother, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He also enjoyed playing pool and bike riding.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Williams and uncle, Barry Williams.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Williams of Shawnee; Harold Williams, Sr. of Wewoka; one brother, Kenny ‘Speedy’ Williams of Shawnee; two sisters, Dana Barriga of Little Axe and Ronalda Williams of Shawnee; grandparents, Sam and Lucille Johnson of Wewoka and Patricia Williams of Shawnee; six nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Officiating the services will be Danny Faulkner.
Internment will follow at the Williams Family Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
Johnny Lee Williams
Funeral services for Maud resident Johnny Lee Williams are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Revs. Houston Tiger and Bert Holt will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Williams Family Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Wake services will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Military Honors will be provided by the Seminole Nation Color Guard.
Williams died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 60.
He was born to Daniel Williams and Betty (Harjo) Williams on March 11, 1943 in Maud.
Williams married Phylisha Ann (Douglas) Williams in 1979 at the Acheena Presbyterian Church in Maud.
He was a lifelong Seminole County resident, and was an alcohol and drug counselor, having retired in 1989.
Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a Private and having received a Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar.
He was a member of the Acheena Presbyterian Church in Maud.
Williams was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Phylisha Ann Williams, of the home; three sons, Brian Williams, Chandler, and Keetha Williams and Chuddo Williams, both of Maud; one brother, Bennie Williams, Konawa; one sister, Dorothy Williams, Pumkin Center; and two grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Joseph Wolf, Woodrow West, Sandy Williams, Lindsay Bondonnie, Daniel Delarosa and Keith Hames.
Honorary bearers include Arthur Cline, Ringo Harjo, Kenneth Williams and Richard Lusty.
Leroy Ernest Williams
Graveside services were held for former Seminole resident, Leroy Ernest Williams at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Little Cemetery, with Clyde Petete officiating.
He died on July 6, 2003, at the age of 68 years in Oklahoma City.
He was born on Oct. 31, 1934, at Franks Corner in Seminole to Ernest L. and Grace M. (Phillips) Williams.
He attended Mountain View Elementary School and Seminole High School.
He graduated from Ada High School and attended OSU for two years, earning his Associates Degree.
He worked for several years as a Psychologist Assistant at Stringtown Correctional Facility.
He moved to Lynnwood, Calif. in the late 1960s, where he worked for many years as a technician for Sears, retiring in 1979, due to poor health.
He loved farming and gardening, and particularly enjoyed cooking.
He bought 20 acres in Holdenville in 1980, and lived there until moving into the town of Holdenville five years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Williams; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Ingram and Elvin Houck.
He is survived by his mother, Grace Williams of Seminole; two sisters, Tommie L. Ingram of Ottawa, Kan. and Lucille Houck of Seminole; and by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Ingram, Anthony Ingram, Justin Ingram, Ernie Ingram, Brian Harris, Aaron Slottlemire, Travis Castle and Jimmy Brinsfield.
Services were held under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Maggie Williams
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Maggie May (Gillham) Williams are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at the Wolf Freewill Baptist Church with Herb Dominguez and Monty Campbell officiating.
Interment will follow at the Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
There will be viewing until service time only.
Casket will not be opened after services.
She died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at the age of 99 at Unity Health Center North in Shawnee.
She was born Dec. 12, 1903, in Cedar Glades, Ark. to Thomas Phagan Gillham and Stella Rosetta (Ratliff) Gillham.
She was married to David "Murray" Williams on June 30, 1929 in Konawa.
She moved to Wolf in 1940 and then to Shawnee in 1992.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Wolf Freewill Baptist Church.
She served as the church clerk for more than 30 years and was a member of the Home Demonstration Club in Wolf.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Williams in 1967; one son, Tommy Williams in 1992; one daughter, Stella Williams in 1931; three brothers, Austin, Edgar and Marcus Gillham; two sisters, Epsie Gillham and Elta Mixon; and one great grand son, Logan Gambill in 2000.
She is survived by one son, David Williams and wife, Carolyn of Davis; daughters, Jane Armstrong and husband Bill of Shawnee, Dorothea Dominguez and husband, Herbert of Mesa, Ariz., and Ava Gambill and husband Gary of Tecumseh; One brother, Manuel Gillham of Atoka; sisters, Bessie Northam of Grassvalley, Calif., Silvia Goforth of California, Vivian Vanoni of Milbrey, Calif. and Eula Faye McKinley of Grassvalley, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Casketbearers are Greg Gambill, Jason Gambill, Josh Gambill, Tanya Franklin, John bizzell, Glen Davidson, Lisa Williams, brian Williams, Tamera Woodall, Laura Ayers, Curtis Doninguez, Verva Gerse and Stacy Bockelman.
Pauletta Williams
Pauletta "Sue" Williams passed away on December 6, 2003 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 51. Pauletta was born on December 23, 1951 in Seminole to Jack and Doris Lowery Hendrix. She attended Crooked Oak Schools. Pauletta married Wallace Williams, Jr. on October 16, 1989 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She worked as a Health Care Worker in Weleetka, Ok. Pauletta was a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church.
Pauletta is proceeded in death by her parents Jack and Doris Hendrix.
Survivors include her husband Wallace Williams Jr. of Wewoka, three children Yancy and Jesse Porter of Tecumseh, Tonya and Melvin Craig of Wewoka, Ronnie and Jenny Porter Jr. of Wewoka, one nephew Shawn and Cathie Davidson of Wewoka, one sister Leta and Gary Crosby, two brothers Larry and Debbie Hendrix of Wewoka, Jack and Melinda Hendrix of St. Louis, Missouri. 6 grandchildren Ray Craig, Jasmine Porter, Nathaniel Craig, Stormy Porter, Nicholas Craig Everette Porter, two aunts Bill and Billie Brock of Okc., Shirley Lowry of Wewoka and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Stout - Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Little Cemetery in Wewoka Larry Chesser will officiate, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.
Pallbearers will include Charles Brumley, Jason Brooks, Ray Craig, Wendel Lemmings, Bo Ray, Wallace Willams Sr.

Bill Wilson
Graveside funeral services for Konawa native B.A. "Bill" Wilson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Konawa Cemetery.
Rev. Charles Henthorn will officiate, with arrangements under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home of Ada.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon Monday at the funeral home.
Wilson, 74, died Friday at his home in Ada.
He was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Konawa to Robert F. and Lydia Coursey Wilson.
He graduated from Vamoosa Schools and served in the US Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
Wilson served as president and co-owner of WHB Inc. Pump Company in Odessa, Texas, and Lovington, N.M., until his retirement in 1998. He returned to Ada three weeks ago.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, Lodge No. 955, AF&AM.
He married Dorothy Dean on Dec. 12, 1953, in Hobbs, N.M. She survives him, of the home.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sharon Wilson of Washington, D.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Andy Hicks of Canyon, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nelma and Gene Burns of Konawa, and Kay Straughn, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Erin and Drew Hicks.
