Pauline Hallum

Graveside services for Seminole resident, Frankie Pauline Hallum are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, with Rev. Russell Vicars officiating.

Interment will follow under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

She died Monday, May 17, 2004, at the age of 80 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

She was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Wewoka to Millard Hail and Drucilla (Boatman) Hail.

She married Dale C. Hallum on July 7, 1942, in Wewoka.

Shee was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Phi and Eastern Star.

She was a longtime Seminole resident

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale C. Hallum on Aug. 13, 1992; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Judi Hallum and Eddie Hallum, all of Seminole; two sisters, Dean Stancoff of Ohio and Hazel Knight of Moore; grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan Hallum of Fort. Worth, Texas, Cory and Stephanie Hallum of Corpus Christi, Texas, Randall and Debbie Hallum and Mark Hallum, all of Seminole, Scott and Brooke Gibbs of Dallas, Texas, Tracy and Valerie Peltier of Shawnee, and Andrea and Willie Appleby of Norman; five great grandchildren, Seth and Rachel Hallum of Seminole, Riley and Regan Appleby of Norman and Logan Peltier of Shawnee.

Casket bearers are Ryan Hallum, Cory Hallum, Randall Hallum, Scott Gibbs, Mark Hallum, Tracy Peltier and Willie Appleby.

Betty Ham

Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident, Betty June Ham are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Ham died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the age of 76 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

She was born April 15, 1927, in Gypsy to Roy Lee Brown and Lillian (Allen) Brown.

She married Andrew William Ham in 1967 in Phoenix, Ariz.

She worked as a manager at Braums and was also a cook at Bowlegs High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J.W. Brown; and her husband, Andrew William Ham on March 23, 1980.

She is survived by one son, Cecil Harris of Seminole and one sister, Ruby Wrenn of Odessa, Texas.

Randy Hammack

Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Randy Wayne Hammack are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13 at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mitch Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at the Vamoosa cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Hammack died Wednesday, March 10 2004, at the age of 45 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was born on October 2 1958, in Lawton to H.B. "Bob" Hammack and Grace (Murdock) Hammack.

He was married to Carla Jean (Bunnell) on December 20 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev.

He was the manager of Konvenience Korner store in Konawa and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

His father, H.B. "Bob" Hammack, preceded him in death on May 3, 2001.

He is survived by his mother Grace Hammck; spouse, Carla Hammack of the home; two daughters, Sheena Booth and Zoie Harmon; one sister Diana Hammack, all of Konawa; and other relatives and friends.

George Hand

Memorial services for longtime Seminole County resident, George Ray Hand, of Wewoka are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at First Christian Church, located at 426 S. Okfuskee in Wewoka with Neil Thompson, from Wetumka officiating.

Hand died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the age of 67 at his home in Wewoka.

He was born Nov. 6, 1936, in Iowa Park, Texas to Lonnie and Pearl Hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Olen Hand and Lowell Hand;

He is survived by his wife Carol Hand of the home; two sons, Scott Hand of Dalhart, Texas and Wayne Hand of Seguin, Texas; two stepsons, Jeff Dinsmore of Wewoka and Steve Dinsmore of Durant; two sisters, Betty Thomason of Canadian, Texas and Polly Horton of Higgins, Texas; one brother, Alonzo Hand of Canadian, Texas, a half-brother, Kenneth Kerns of Tulsa, 12 grandchildren; and other family and friends.

Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 4323 NW 63rd, Suite 110, Oklahoma City, 73116-1513.

Graham Luther Hankins

Graveside services for former Seminole County resident Graham Luther Hankins are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Little Cemetery with Gary Phillips officiating.

Hankins died Nov. 1, 2004 at his home in Carthage, Mo. He was born in Vernon, Ala. on Sept. 22, 1911 to Luther and Mary Susan Lawrence Hankins.

Hankins married Mary Francis Davis on April 14, 2001 in Deadwood, Texas. He lived in Seminole until the age of five and had lived in Cartage since 1962, moving from Athens, La.

He worked for Skelly Oil Company for 42 years before retiring as a supervisor. Hankins was a member of the St. Paul Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Stonewall Masonic Lodge.

Hankins was preceded in death by his first wife, of 69 years, Frances Mary Hankins; son, Johnny Hankins; brother, Gager Hankins of Wewoka; and sister, Mary Barnett of Seminole.

His wife of the home; son, Lyn Hankins of Haynesville, La.; daughter, Valera Mahood of Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, survives him.

Patricia Ann Hanlon

Funeral services for former longtime Seminole resident Patricia Ann Hanlon are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Johnny Cowns will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Hanlon passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 at her home in Edmond at the age of 71.

She was born to Ira Andrew Wilson and Lucille L. (Smith) Wilson.

She married John L. Hanlon on Oct. 30, 1975 in Gainsville, Texas.

Hanlon was a retired elementary school teacher, having received her master of education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Hanlon was a longtime Seminole resident, having lived her from 1932-1964.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira Andrew Wilson.

Hanlon is survived by her mother, Lucille Wilson, Seminole; husband, John L. Hanlon, Midvale, Utah; one son, Charles Lee Robertson, Choctaw; two daughters, Linda G. McFall and Susan R. Cowns, both of Edmond; one brother, Gerald L.Wilson, Seminole; nine grandchildren, Angela and Amy, Gabriel and Leigh Ann, Nicole, Sarah, Andrew, Joseph and Daniel; and five great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Tim McFall, Steve Cowns, Toby Wilson, Gabriel Robertson, Andrew Cowns, Joseph Cowns and Daniel Cowns.

Honorary bearers will be Steve Percival, Seth Prince, James Harries and Kevin Cauldwell.

Dorothy Haralson

Graveside services for Seminole resident, Dorothy M. Haralson were held and Dorothy was laid to rest in the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 15 with Rev. Bill Chesser officiating.

Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.

Haralson died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the age of 89 years in Seminole.

She was born in West Point, Texas on Sept. 22, 1914, to Elsie Lee (Johnson) Highsmith and Jessie William Highsmith.

She was a young child when the family moved to Oklahoma, and was reared in Wewoka.

She was married to Guy Haralson, who preceded her in death on May 30, 1985.

She loved working with arts and crafts, and selling them at area fairs.

She lived in Wewoka nearly all of her life, and had been a resident of Seminole for the past twelve years.

She is survived by her son, Roger Haralson, of Kansas, Okla., one granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; one brother, William Harold Highsmith of Louisville, Ky., other relatives and friends.

James R. ‘Sonny’ Harber Jr.

Funeral services for former Seminole resident James R. "Sonny" Harber Jr. are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Thursday at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, under the direction of Moore’s Southlawn Chapel.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 11:30 a.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Harber, who was residing in Tulsa, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, in the Saint Francis Hospital after a four-year battle with diabetes and kidney disease. He was 71.

Harber was born in Seminole to Cleta and James Russell Harber on Dec. 1, 1932.

He graduated from Seminole High School in 1951 where he was a champion debater and served as FFA treasurer.

Harber later graduated from Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, in 1955.

Harber was successful in the computer business working for NCR and AT&T for 38 years, until his retirement in 1992.

Harber became a pilot and flew for many years.

Following his retirement, he formed "Harber Homes" with his two sons, Jim and Tom.

Harber is survived by his wife, Mary, of 29 years; sons, James Russell Harber, III of Mounds, Thomas Branson Harber of Skiatook, Roger Lee Murphy of Lebanon, Ind.; one daughter, Sandra Jayne Murphy-Driggers of Bartlesville.

Also surviving Harber are two sisters, Sue McBride of Enid, and Mary Kathryn Harris of Seminole.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Oklahoma Diabetes Association or Oklahoma Organ Sharing Network.

Jerry Harber

Funeral services for Jerry W. Harber, spouse of former Seminole resident, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Frank Trent officiating.

Services were under the direction of the Criswell Fuenral Home of Ada.

Harber died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the age of 52 at a hospital in Arlington, Texas.

He was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Roff to Frank and Hester Rushing Harber.

He lived in the Ross area all of his life and attended Vanoss schools.

He married Charesa Ketchem on March 24, 1987 in Seminole.

He was an employee of Unimin Corp. as a loadout operator.

He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired volunteer fireman in Roff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Hester Harber; two brothers, Arthur Harber and Ronnie Browning; two sisters, Joyce Harber and Mary Cannon and his mother-in-law, Doris Pool Ketchum.

He is survived by his wife, Charesa, of the home; three daughters, Amanda Bonner of Ada, and Chare Cobb and Ashly Cobb, both of the home; three sons, Mike Harber of Ada, Jeff Harber of Roff and Justin Cobb of Sulphur; six sisters, Carol Kirby of Stratford, Brenda Blankenship, Geneva Dodson and Donna Mathews, all of Ada, Bonnie Cross of Ponca City and Juanita McNeil of Homer; five brothers, Ed Harber of Kingston, Loyd Harber of Sulphur, Larry Harber and James Harber, both of Tecumseh and Dwight Harber of Bonham, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steve Burrows, Gary Froemming, Rick Shaw, Luther White, Wayne Eldridge, Mike Bradley, Dave Rush and Eddie Thurman.

Honorary bearers were Red Garrison, Harold Shepard, Billy Easley, Blake Harber, Kade Harber, Brandon Benn, Triston Bonner and Derrick Manning.
