Funeral services for Seminole County native, Mildred Hudson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18 at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
Hudson died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at the age of 88.
She was born July 1, 1915, in Konawa.
She was a wonderful homemaker and caretaker for her friends and family.
She enjoyed spending her time gardening, cooking and sewing.
She was a fun person with a contagious laugh that became infections to everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Wesley J. Hudson; her parents, one sister and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Johnston; one granddaughter; two great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Billie Hughes
Funeral services for Billie Hughes will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Ralph Jones and Drew Issacs officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery.
Hughes, 72, died on Aug. 20, 2004 in Seminole. She was born in Jackson, Miss. on March 12, 1932 to Frank Quincy and Louise (Fleming) Street.
She moved to Seminole in 1933 from Casa Grande, Ariz. She married Kirby Hughes and had been a nurse’s assistant doing home health until her illness.
Hughes was of the Baptist faith, attended the Heritage House, and was a member of the Bridge club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Knovis and Gerald Street.
Her survivors include sons Ronald Krapf of Seminole, Michael Turner of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Alvin Turner of Buckeye, Ariz.; daughter Sharon Haldane of Seminole; brother Frank Street of Kokomo, Ind.
Additional survivors include seven sisters, Nan Fowler and Jan Lewis of Seminole, Pauline Dees of Phoenix, Ariz., Mary Jones of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Linda Walker of Gilbert, Ariz., Sandy Lydon of Phoenix, Ariz., Judith Vezie of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
The casket bearers are Michael E. Turner, Ronald C. Krapf, Davis LeFevre, Bobby Douthit, Tom Fowler, and Kyle Kean.
Honorary bearers will be Patrick Turner and David Haldane.
Geraldine Hughes
Services for long time Seminole resident Geraldine Hughes are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David McDougal officiating.
Hughes died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at the Seminole Medical Center. She was 80.
She was born Sept. 4, 1924, in Watonga to Numerous Foster and Lucy.
Hughes was married to Lester "Bill" Hughes for 61 years.
She was a homemaker and attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole.
Hughes was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Harold Hughes.
She is survived by her husband of the home; sons Steve Hughes of Seminole and Jerry Hughes of Edmond; a half-brother, Jack Foster of Tecumseh; and two half-sisters.
Ruby Hughes
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Ruby Helen Hughes of Tulsa, were scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at the Floral Haven Chapel in Broken Arrow with Revs. Bill Keele and Herman Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Hughes died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at the age of 90 in Tulsa.
She was born Jan. 15, 1914, in Indianola to Paris Spencer Wells and Della Mae Brown.
She married William J. Hughes Jr. in Jan. 1950, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
Hughes lived in Wewoka for 28 years, from 1949-1977 before moving to Tulsa to be near her sons.
She is survived by Park B. York of Broken Arrow and Charles W. York of Tulsa; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Jerry Allen Hunt
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Jerry Allen Hunt are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Wewoka, with Rev. E.G. Bert of Saint Stephens Baptist Church.
Interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
Hunt, 53, died Oct. 13, 2004 at Presbyterian Tower in Oklahoma City. He was born in Nobletown Community on Aug. 3, 1951 to Dewey and Repol (Hill) Hunt.
He attended Johnson Grove Schools before attending and graduating in 1969 from Wewoka High School. While in high school he played football, basketball, and ran track.
After high school he attended Eastern College in Wilburton for two years, followed by two years at Northeastern College in Tahlequah. Hunt graduated with a bachelor of science degree in education.
Hunt worked for OXY-USA, Inc. for 30 years as a procurement coordinator in the field of oil and gas.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church of Liberal, Kan. Hunt also was a member of Oklahoma Prince Hall F and AM of Oklahoma Jurisdiction, Livingston Lodge #175.
His parents and three brothers, Wilford Cain, Marlin Cain, and Herbert, Jr. preceded him in death.
He is survived by wife Lynn Hunt of the home; daughter Je’Bree Allyn Hunt of Oklahoma City; brothers, Dewey of Mocksville, N.C., Elgin Wayne of San Antonio, Texas, Dailton of Crescent, Paul Dexter of Okarche, Randy Francisco of Oklahoma City, Dandy Francisco of Austin, Texas, Barry Keith of Wewoka, and Llewllyn of Tulsa.]

James E. Hutton
Funeral services for Seminole resident James Edward "Jim" Hutton are scheduled for 2 p.m. at Immanuel Fellowship Church, 3103 SH 3 North.
Interment is to follow services at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Shawnee under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
At 6:01 a.m. Nov. 5, 2004 in Oklahoma City the Lord Jesus Christ came to take his good and faithful servant James Edward "Jim" Hutton home.
Jim was born June 7, 1944 in Maud to Josephine Marie (Walker) Hutton and Earl Hutton.
He married Dee Ann (Huber) Hutton Jan. 8, 1960 in Sulfur. Their first home was in Ada and they later moved to Seminole in 1965 where they have lived for the past 39 years. Jim was retired from the Army National Guard after serving 24 years. He worked for Republic Supply Company, Industrial Supply and Arrow Pump and Supply Company, and he worked for Sears until his health problems arose.
Jim was a member of the Immanuel Fellowship Church for 20 years and he served as an elder for the past 14 years. He was one of the first members when Immanuel was founded.
He has also devoted the past 14 years in serving as the Nursing Home Ministry pastor to Sunset Estates Nursing Home, Pioneer Nursing Home and Seminole Estates Nursing Home. He was a longtime member of the Jaycees and the all-night gospel sing association
He is survived by his wife of the home; four daughters, Debbie Motherspau, Le’Robbye Winterscheid, Jamie Marie Hutton and her companion Michael Allgood, and Tori Hutton and fiancé Sonny Phillips; sons-in-law, Larry Motherspau and Terry Winterscheid, all of Seminole.
In addition his survivors include nine grandchildren, Matthew Motherspau, Tyler Hutton, Kyndall, Aaron and Elizabeth Winterscheid, Ashley, Yasha, Macayla and Jacob Brinsfield; two great-grandchildren, Baylea and McKenna Motherspau; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Mikish and husband Donnie of Shawnee, and Mina Harms and husband A.D. Harms of Tyler, Texas; mother-in-law Marjorie Lester of Seminole; and several nieces and nephew.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Don Hutton and father-in-law Bob Huber.
Jim loved his wife, girls, grandbabies and family.
Pall bearers for the services will be Mike Scheller, Mickey Shaw, Jim Cook, Johnny Holik, Russell Gibson and Glenn Azlin.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Russian Missions Fund at Immanuel Fellowship Church.
Ida Marie Hyatt
Services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary for Ida Marie Hyatt, who passed away April 7, 2004.
She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, on May 8, 1930 she attended local Ferguson and Butner schools.
Ida's parents were Cecil and Etta May Hays, brother Ralph Hays resides in Ukon, Oklahoma and sisters Flora Nazworth in Seaside, CA and Barbara Aston in Stockton, CA. Ida married Bill Hyatt in 1948 and they lived in Bakersfield, CA for over 50 years.
The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last October.
Ida is survived by her husband Bill and their children: Carla Hyatt; Judy Austin and her husband Mike; William Jr., and his wife Brenda; and Dale Rushing and her husband Pastor Bill. She is also survived by 9 living grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She completed her college education and graduated from California State University Bakersfield the same year as her daughter Carla.
She completed her teaching credential and later became a professional photographer.
She was one of the first to shoot the now popular "glamour"- type pictures in Bakersfield.
