Funeral services for Wewoka native Pete Jeff Lena Jr. are set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka.
Rev. Houston Tiger will be officiating, and burial is set to follow at the Lena Family Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Wake services are set for tonight, Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Stout-Phillips Chapel at 6:30 p.m.
Lena died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at the Shawnee Care Center, at the age of 81.
He was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Wewoka, to Peter Lena Sr. and Lucy (Reed) Lena.
He retired from Douglas Aircraft in 1960, where had worked as a machinist.
Lena was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Melvin Lena; one sister, Marva Long; and two brothers, Walter Lena and Newman Lena.
He is survived by one brother, Russell Valdez, Wewoka; two sisters, Irene Freeman, Tulsa, and Stella Lena; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert McKane, Bennie Lena, Mack Lena, Dean Lena, and Frankie Lena.
Honorary bearers will be Paul Factor, Gerald Factor, A.C. Buck, Jimmy Lena, and Kenneth Fixico.
Frank Lena Sr.
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Frank Lena Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at the Stout-Phillips Chapel with Revs. Houston Tiger and Billy Merritt officiating.
Wake service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 4 at Stout-Phillips Chapel.
Interment will follow at Lena Family Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Lena died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at the age of 70, at Carl Albert Hospital in Ada.
He was born in Wewoka, on Sept. 10, 1933 to Charlie and Winey "Joshua" Lena.
Lena attended school at Justice and he married Claudia on Oct. 23, 1963, in Wewoka.
He worked as a custodian at Justice Schools for 30 years, he also was a basketball coach for Justice Schools.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Winey Lena; eight brothers, Willie, Tom, Joe, Edward, Robert, Reed, Lillie, and Jacob Lena; four sisters, Elizabeth Douglas, Betty Fixico, Cindy Lena, and Effie McCulley; and one grandson Derek Drake Lena.
Lena is survived by his wife, Claudia of the home; two sons, Frank Lena Jr. and Marty Lena; two sisters, Cora Green and Mary Jane Lena; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jonas Lena, Glen Lena, Mose Merritt, Brian Harjo, Andrew Davis, Benny Lena.
Honorary Pallbearers William Harrison, Tommy Orr, Lewis Wise, Oscar Bunner, Rex Haley.
Charles LeRoy Lee II
Memorial services for Seminole County native, Charles LeRoy Lee II are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 at the Blackburn Chapel in Shawnee under the direction of the Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
He passed away in his home from this life to be with his Heavenly Father after a long and extremely brave battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s on March 6, 2004, at the age of 71.
He is now able to enjoy the company of his mother and father who have passed before him.
His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
He was a kind and generous person who touched many lives, as well as a very loving husband and father.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was born Sept. 27, 1932, in Okemah to Charles LeRoy and Mollie (Witham) Lee.
He was a 1950 graduate of Pharoah High School and a 1958 graduate of Central State University.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and worked all his life in and around the oil profession.
He enjoyed crafts and was a member of Wild Birds Unlimited.
Lee is survived by his wife, Roberta and son Charles LeRoy Lee III, both of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law, CaTrinna and Fred Smith of Shawnee, Charla Garrett and Michael Lee of Moore, Melanie and Ronald Churchill of Midwest City, and Eva Lee Brummett of Tulsa; and one sister, Corinna Lou Brown of Holdenville.
Kianna Lincoln
Funeral services for Kianna Anne Lincoln are to be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3 at Shiloh Baptist Faith Fellowship Ministries, east of Holdenville.
Interment will follow the services at Shiloh Church Cemetery, also east of Holdenville.
Lincoln died on Monday, March 29, 2004, at the age of seven, due to an automobile accident in Seminole County.
She was born Dec. 3, 1996, in Ada to Emery Lincoln and Tyra Field.
She attended first grade at Park View Elementary in Holdenville where she was honored as a Student of the Month.
She attended Shiloh Baptist Faith Fellowship Ministries and was a very active and dedicated member of the kitchen committee and the youngest member of the Women’s Mission Society.
She is survived by her parents, Emery Lincoln and Tyra Fields; one brother, Terrell Lincoln; grandparents, Melvin and Patricia Hooks and Sandra Sequichie and K.T. Fields; great grandparents, I.J. and Berniece Hooks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Shawn Jones, Stanley Lincoln, Durell Lincoln, Doyle Hooks Jr., Chris Hooks, and Eric Hooks.
Honorary bearers are Corey Madden, Tommy Hayes, David Scraper, and Sammy Scraper.
Terrell I. Jay Lincoln
Funeral services for Terrell I. Jay Lincoln, five-year-old victim of an automobile accident in Seminole County last week, were held Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Faith Fellowship Ministries in Holdenville.
Rev. John T. Berry officiated and burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
The child was buried in a double funeral with his sister, seven-year-old Kianna Lincoln.
Both died of injuries sustained in an accident on March 29 near Nobletown Road.
Kianna was dead at the scene, Terrell died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1997, in Ada to Emery Lincoln and Tyra Field.
He attended school at Creek Nation Headstart in Yeager and attended Shiloh Baptist Faith Fellowship Minisries in Holdenville.
Survivors include his parents, of the home in Holdenville; grandparents, Melvin and Patricia Hooks, Sandra Sequichie and K.T. Fields, and great-grandparents, I.J. and Bernice Hooks.
Johnie Mae Little
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Johnie Mae Little are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Pollard officiating.
Interment is to follow services at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Little, 96, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at Seminole Estates Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1908 in Ada to Ocie O. and Callie (Fox) East.
She married Loy Little on June 10, 1936 in Ada. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Little was a homemaker and a member of the Haney Methodist Church.
Surviving her are three sisters, Ara Belle Hobbs of Seminole, Lula Keeling of Ada and Elva Kraeer of McLoud.
Jim Delbert Logan
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Jim Delbert Logan are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Chapel Funeral Chapel in Nobel, Rev. James Kim officiating.
Interment is set to follow at Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial Chapel Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
Logan died Oct. 20, 2004, at Southwest Integris Medical Center. He was 58.
He was born in Seminole to Delbert and Ona (Harjochee) Logan on June 22, 1946.
Logan attended school at Varnum and graduated in 1964 before attending Seminole State College.
Logan worked in the grocery business all his life starting as a sacker and working his way up into management with Spencer’s Grocery in Blanchard.
In January 1968, Logan married Dorothy Davis in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Norman.
He served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard.
Logan attended Noble Methodist Church.
His hobbies included golf, fixing things, attending Seminole and Neucaney football games, spending time with his family and serving on the Pebblebrook Addition Board of Directors.
Logan was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of the home; one son, James Logan of Houston Texas; one daughter, Kelly Bartley of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Dee Bennett of Seminole.
Ray Loman
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Ray Haskell "Hack" Loman, of Wewoka will be at 10 a.m.. Saturday, May15 at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka, with Ken Cross officiating.
Interment will be at Little Cemetery in Little, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Loman of Wewoka passed away on May 11, 2004, at the age of 69 at his residence, north of Wewoka.
He was born on November 12, 1934, north of Wewoka in Seminole County to Chris and Ethel "Halk" Loman.
He reared in the Butner and Cromwell area and he attended Butner High School and graduating in 1953
Hack married Edith Arlene Cross on May 16, 1956, at Cromwell, Hack worked as an oil field operator for many years and later working for Sloan Drilling Company until his retirement in 1990.
He lived in the Seminole County area all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Ethel Loman, and one brother Leroy "Curly" Loman.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Arlene of the home; five children, David Ray Loman and wife, Mindy of Maud, Cindy Arlene Jarvis and husband, Steve of Burleson, Texas, Tommy Dean Loman and wife, Sheila of Kings Mountain, N. C., Susan Renee Tilley and husband, John of Wewoka, Johnny Wayne Loman of Wewoka; three brothers, Earl Loman of Cedar Lake, Ind., Joe Loman of Hammond, Ind. and Calvin Loman of Wewoka; two sisters, Ona Jean Cross of Oklahoma City and Colleen Fowler of Del City; grandchildren, Gail and Randy Loman, Clinton, Amy, Heather, Patricia Jarvis, Chelsey, Katelyn, Austin Loman, and Jennifer, Jessica, Julie Tilley; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
