Memorial services for Seminole resident, Ralph Owren Randles will be held, Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating..
Randles died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at the age of 76, at Lake Murray in Ardmore..
He was born April 16, 1928, in Wewoka to Clyde J. and Bertha Irene Davis Randles.
Randles was raised in Seminole and has lived in various states throughout the United States including Wyoming and Colorado while working in the oilfield.
He married Beverly Jane Ferguson on Aug. 8, 1948, in Seminole.
They returned to Seminole nine years ago to make their home.
In addition to working in gas exploration, Randles was also a field manager for the Williams Company and had done campground work at various state parks for the past 15 years.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Navy.
He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a former member of the Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rebecca Randles; one son, John Randles; one sister, Lorene Roberts and one grandchild, John Robert de Leur.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jane Randles of the home; one son, Ralph Randles Jr. of Rock Springs, Wyo.; one daughter, Robbie Lynn Brown of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; Clyde and Sharon McCaslin of Brigham City, Utah; four grandchildren, Raymond de Leur, Christopher Randles, Rachael McDonald, and Rebecca Brady; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

John William Ray
A graveside service for Wewoka resident John William Ray is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Steve Chesser will officiate the services.
Ray died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at the age of 72, at the Holdenville General Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1931, in Tulsa.
Ray lived at the Oakridge Home in Wewoka for the past two years.
He is survived by a special friend, Beverly Allen, and many other friends at Oakridge.
Bonnie Jewell Redding
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Bonnie Jewell Redding will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan.16, at the Akusvmkv Southern Baptist Church in Wewoka, with Revs. Dan Factor and Darrell Seeley officiating.
Interment will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Redding former Wewoka resident, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at the age of 94 at the Weleetka Nursing Home.
She was born May 16, 1909, in Wetumka to Noral Henderson and Mary Evelyn (Dillbeck) Byrd.
She was reared in the Wetumka area and attended the Tiger Flat School.
Bonnie married Tilford Redding on May 30, 1925, in Wetumka.
They later made their residence in Wewoka, where she and Tilford raised their 8 children.
Bonnie enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Her love will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Noral and Mary Byrd; husband, Tilford Redding; two daughters, Christen Cook and Barbara Jones; three sons, Charles, Cecil, and David Redding; three sisters and three brothers.
Bonnie is survived by one son, Murrell Redding of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Jimmie Stafford of Holdenville, and Kay (Lively) Stanford of Weleetka; special daughter in-law, Ann Redding of Wewoka, daughters-in-law Johnnie Redding of Las Vegas, Nev.; Joy Lynn Redding of Shawnee, and two grandchildren she helped raise, Dwight and Kristee Lively.
She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many more relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
Helen Renfro
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident, Helen M. Renfro, of Wewoka are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Wewoka with Rev. E.G. Bert of St. Stephens Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at the Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Wewoka.
Renfro died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at the age of 83 at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
She was born June 11, 1920, in Seminole County, as the second child to Robert and Anna Noble.
She attended school at Nobletown and retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a supply specialist.
She was a member of Parker’s Chapel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, church treasurer and president of the Missionary Society.
She was also a member of the Eastern Union District and served as treasurer of Minister’s Wives.
She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Vernon Brooks Chapter #146.
She was also co-founder and VP of Rural Water District 5, co-founder and treasurer of the Black Historical Society Research of Wewoka, and councilwoman for the Seminole Nation-Bruner Band.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Joan Griffis.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Billy G. Renfro of the home; one sister, Zetha (Kate) Miller of Nacoma Park; one grandchild, one great grandchild and one great-great grandchild.
Fred Arnold Replogle
Fred Arnold Replogle was honored at funeral services Aug. 28, 2004, in the Swearingen Chapel in Seminole.
He lost a courageous battle against cancer and went to his eternal reward Aug. 26.
The son of John and Mary Logsdon Replogle, Fred was born Nov. 1, 1926, in Krebs.
He attended Seminole County schools and churches.
A patriotic American, Fred joined the Army and went to war for his country in WWII.
He served in the Philippines and in Austria where he met a friend also serving in the Army, a fellow Oklahoman, Frank Pryor, now of Shawnee.
They joyfully renewed their acquaintance and amid the hardships of those days became best friends, in bonds of brotherly love that will last forever.
Back at home in Seminole, Fred met a petite local telephone operator, Evalynn Sparks, whom he won with his fun-loving ways.
They were married on May 20, 1947, in the parsonage of the Baptist church at Bowlegs.
They began their married life in Seminole where they enjoyed popularity with the western music crowd as terrific dancers when the Wills Brothers and Leon McCauliffe played at the Legion Hut.
Fred worked at various jobs in then active oil fields in the area.
He worked hard, played hard, and made lifelong friends, many of whom filled his home and yard in Seminole the day he left this life.
Fred moved his family to California in 1959. They loved it and lived there, up and down the coast, several years.
He trained as a heavy equipment mechanic and was employed at well-known large companies.
An exciting avocation of his during one period was working the pit stops of racing cars, repairing and servicing at break-neck speeds.
He was a sharpshooter and held memberships at various gunclubs, some of his nephews learning good sportsmanship as they tagged along.
Through the years, Fred and his family were active in church work in various areas.
In 1962, they helped establish a mission in Greece which is still active today.
They planned special events during the 2004 Olympics just concluded in Athens.
Fred was known for his generous nature.
He repaired many a car for low charges or no fee at all for those in need.
On the road, he never passed a car in distress.
Fred spoke of the added time God had given him in close brushes with death before.
He said he wanted to use the last days he had left to get in touch with those he loved and cared about.
He said he wanted to share God’s mercy in his life and to make peace with God and people and to urge them to do the same.
He was pre-deceased by his parents; a brother, Turner; a sister, Alice Gallahar; and a daughter, Mary Helen, who died in early childhood.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Jones and husband Bob of Wyoming, and Debra Replogle of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Jack Replogle and wife Imogene of Phoenix, and the Rev. Bob Replogle and wife Virginia of Texas.
Also, two grandchildren, Rebecca Melchoire and husband David of Okla. City and Brandon Jones and wife Holly of San Francisco; and one great-granddaughter, Angelique Melchoire of Okla. City; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including Ella O’Dell of Seminole and her family; and best friend Frank Pryor and wife Jeri of Shawnee.
The Rev. Harold Turner led the service at the chapel. Special music provided by a niece, Connie Replogle.
The Rev. Bob Replogle led the committal service at the graveside.
Burial was in the family plot at Little Cemetery north of Seminole.
Ft. Sill personnel provided military honor guard and salute.
The Replogle and O’Dell families wish to thank each and every one for the many expressions of kindness during Fred’s illness and passing. Of special note was the loving ever-present assistance of his nephew, Tommy Gallahar of Norman.
