Freddie Arnold Replogle

Funeral services for Seminole resident Freddie Arnold Replogle are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.

Services will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, officiated by Ruby Nell York, Millard Stevens and Bobbie Replogle.

Interment is set to follow at Little Cemetery north of Seminole.

Replogle died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at his home in Seminole, at the age of 77.

He was born to John and Mary (Logston) Replogle in Krebs on Nov. 1, 1926.

After growing up in Seminole, he moved to California, returning in 1996.

He worked as a mechanic, and retired from Barber Ford in Ventura, Calif., in the late 1980s. Earlier in his life, Replogle had worked in the Seminole oilfield.

He was married to Ella O’Dell on Sept. 13, 2000.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of Old Glory Assembly of God.

Replogle was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Alice, and his brother Turner.

He is survived by two daughters, Diane Jones of Pinedale, Wyo., and Debra Replogle of Oklahoma City; five stepsons and one stepdaughter; two brothers, Bobbie Replogle of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Jack Replogle of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Thomas Revas

Funeral services for Seminole resident, Thomas L. Revas are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Kernal officiating.

Interment will follow at the Revas family cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Revas died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the age of 75 in Seminole.

He was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Seminole to Ina Lee (Wind) Noska and lived in Seminole all his life.

He married Bessie Lee (Ballou) Revas on March 29, 1957, in Sapulpa.

He worked several years for the Seminole Nation including the general council for four years and representative of the intertribal council for two years.

He was a retired linotype operator in the newspaper industry after 32 years and traveled extensively all over the United States.

He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict, Pfc(T).

He was a member of the Seminole Nation, attended Chilocco Indian School, graduating in 1947, and attended SSC for one year.

He was an active member of the Seminole Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree Mason, past Master of Seminole Lodge, receiving his 50 year pin in 2000, and as a Scottish Rite he served on new member committee of the lodge

Revas enjoyed bowling, watching the OSU Cowboys and watching movies.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ina Lee (Wind) Noska and one son, Terry Revas of Tulsa.

Revas is survived by his wife, Bessie Lee Revas of the home; three sons, Lance Revas of Moore, Mark Revas of Tulsa and Rodney Revas of Jay; four daughters, Judy Pearce and husband, Rick of Ada, Pamela Garrett and husband Wesley of Mayflower, Ark., Sandy and Marcy Tiger of Virginia and Karen and Richard O’Keefe of Ohio; one brother, Frank Revas of Tulsa; grandchildren, Gary and Allison Revas, Dustin Revas, Justin Revas, Tracy and Matt Feezel, Mellanie Brown, Jim Brown, Yvonne Tiger and Peter Strong, Lea Tiger and Brian Potter, Victoria O’Keefe, Kelly O’Keefe, Tabbatha, Terry, Rodney Jr., Hollie and Brandi Revas; and great grandchildren, Skylar Revas, Mara Potter, Zack Tiger and Cole Tiger.

Casket bearers will be Jim Brauning, Gary Mainord, Allen Harvey, Dean Estes, Matt Feezel and Chris Bryan.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jim Brown, Gary Revas, Dustin Revas, Justin Revas, Rick Pearce, Wesley Garrett, Pete Strong, Bryan Potter, Marcy Tiger and Richard O’Keefe.

Military Rites will be performed at the gravesite by the Seminole Nation Color Guard.

Norma L. Rhoads

Former Seminole resident Norma L. Rhoads died in Lecompton, Kan. at her residence on Aug. 28, 2004.

Cremation is planned and interment will be at a later date in Duck Creek Cemetery, located in Liberty Mounds.

Rhoads, 81, was born in Cleveland on July 28, 1923 to Otis and Mae Lee Connell.

She graduated from Cleveland High School, then owned and operated her own beauty shop in downtown Tulsa for 25 years.

Her survivors include husband L.C. Rhoads of Lecompton, Kan.; son Don Boyer of Seminole; stepdaughter Colleen Weaver of Lecompton, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Douglas Country Hospice. Lawrence Funeral Chapel of Lawrence, Kan. will be handling the arrangements.

Ruby Richards

Graveside services for former Seminole County resident, Ruby Lwanda (Brown) Richards of Jenks are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24 at the Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral home of Seminole.

Richards died Monday, March 22, 2004, at the age of 82 at her home in Jenks.

She was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Kendrick to William Lincoln Brown and Ruby Mae (Vickers) Brown.

She was married to William Leroy Richards in 1938 in Seminole County.

She was a resident of Wolf until 1971, when she moved to Jenks.

Richards also lived in Claremore of several years.

She cared for the elderly, did housekeeping and enjoyed making baby quilts.

She was a regular at the Baptist Church in Jenks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Leroy Richards on July 6, 1970; one daughter, Gladys Mullen on Sept. 5, 2003; one brother, Delmer Brown; one sister, Bertha Raborn; and one grandson, Gerald Dewayne Mullen.

Richards is survived by three daughters, Barbara Burleson and Betty Richards, both of Jenks and Georgia Mullen of Konawa; two sisters, Freda Pike of Silverton, Ore. and Vivian Blackburn of Palm Dale, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

The casket will be open until service time.

Everett Allan Riley

Funeral services for Seminole resident, Everett Allan Riley will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Church of Christ located at 5th and Broadway in Henryetta.

Services will be officiated by Lyndal Werner and Eulogy by James Riley.

Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta.

Riley died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at the age of 56 in Seminole.

He was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Seminole to Glenda (Prevett) Riley and James A. Riley.

He was married to Kerry (Morgan) Riley on Oct. 12, 1996 in Henryetta.

He was a self-employed house painter and a member of the Seminole and Henryetta Churches of Christ.

He was preceded in death by one nephew, Blake Riley.

He is survived by his wife, Kerry Riley of the home; one daughter, Haley Riley of Cushing; one grandson; parents, J.A. and Glenda Riley of Seminole; one brother, James Riley of Edmond, a dear friend, Amojean Black of Norman; as well as a host of friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Carl Prevett, Tim Bazor, Melvin Allen, Buddy Lassiter, Larry Thrower, Steven Dockray and Larry Jozwiak.

The family requests donations be made to the Eastern Hills Hospice Inc., 410 East Oak, Seminole, 74868.

George Sampson Ripley

Funeral services for George Sampson Ripley, son of Seminole resident Edith Yahola, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole.

Rev. Redmond Wolf will be officiating, with the services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Ripley died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at his Glenpool residence at the age of 43.

He was born in Oklahoma City on Jan. 12, 1961, to Samuel P. Ripley and Edith Mae (Samuel) Ripley Yahola.

Ripley was disabled.

He lived in Enid and then moved to Glenpool.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Ripley is survived by his mother, of Seminole; a brother, Joe Don Ripley, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five sisters: Elaine Stringfellow, Joy Rene Ripley-Cash, Edwina Lynn Stewart, Carla Ann Ripley, and Edna Mae Ripley, all of Oklahoma City.

Wanda Robbins

Graveside services for Seminole resident Wanda L. Robbins are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 23 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, under the direction of the Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Robbins died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at the age of 59 in the Seminole Estates Nursing Home.

She was born June 27, 1944, in Stillwell to Walter Andrews and Rose (Bell) Andrews.

She was a Seminole resident for 10 years.

She worked for the Allen Canning Company in Alma, Ark.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Robert Andrews on March 22, 2004.

She is survived by one son, Joe H. Robbins of Seminole; two brothers, Carol Andrews of Grady, Ark. and Eli Andrews of Pink; and one sister, Louise Adams of Paragould, Ark.

Robert Roberson

A memorial service for 1988 Seminole High School graduate Robert Shawn Roberson is planned for 11 a.m. May 29 at Dale Cemetery near Shawnee.

Roberson died suddenly of a heart attack on May 12 in Oklahoma City.

He was born Aug. 5, 1970, in Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Sue Hilton of Oklahoma City, and his grandparents, Dwight and Charlene Roberson of Seminole.

Survivors include one sister, Melissa Limke, Oklahoma City.
