Doris Crenshaw Smith

Doris Marie (Nurse) Crenshaw Smith, 72, passed away at her home near Lake Eufaula on Sunday, July 4, 2003, following a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Borger, Texas, to Melvin and Claudia Nurse.

She and her family moved to Wewoka in the spring of 1942, where she finished high school.

She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and was a member of Em Hi social club.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Bill Burns will officiate.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

In 1950, she and Jack W. Smith were united in marriage and resided in Eufaula for many years.

She was of the Baptist faith and in her earlier years taught children’s Sunday School classes.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1980 and her mother in 1999.

She is survived by Jack W. Smith, of the home; three sons, Chris Crenshaw, Atwood, Craig Crenshaw and wife, Michelle, of Choctaw; and Clay Crenshaw and his wife, Cynthia, of Perkins; eight grandchildren, Cody and Caleb Crenshaw of Choctaw, Jason, Ryan and Rachel Crenshaw of Perkins, Courtney Ray and Christopher Crenshaw of Henderson, and Somer De’ Crenshaw; three great-grandchildren, Shawna, Lisa and Colt of Oklahoma City; one sister, Dolores Theus and husband, Harold, of Oklahoma City; and aunts, Winnie Welch Williams, Seminole, and Wanda Holder, Jonesboro, La.; and other family members and loved ones.

John F. Smith

Graveside services for Wewoka resident John F. Smith were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.

Rev. Larry Chesser was set to officiate. Services were under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Smith died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 at Sherwood Manor in Tulsa at the age of 74.

He was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Wewoka to Pete and Bertha (MaePearce) Smith.

Smith grew up in the Seminole County area where he attended Ong and New Lima schools.

He worked as an oilfield driller and retired in 1996. Smith attended Gleaners Holiness Church in Wewoka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Bertha Smith and one sister, Joyce Bloom.

Survivors include his three sons, Mike Smith of Sapulpa, Rick Smith of Baton Rouge, La., and Randy Smith of Tulsa; one brother, Buddy Nelson Smith of Wewoka; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kay Smith

Funeral services for Seminole County native, Kay Lynn (Dodd) Smith, are scheduled for Monday, March 29, 2004, at 1 p.m.., at the Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs.

Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.

Dodd died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at the age of 59 in Hot Springs, Ark.

She was born Jan. 31, 1945, in Wewoka, to David Schenk and Stella Mae (Hutchison) Dodd.

She was raised in Wewoka, graduated from Wewoka High School and obtained her teaching degree.

She married her best friend, Ronnie Smith, on May 28, 1993, in Edmond.

She and Ronnie traveled the United States extensively the past ten years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Michael "Trey" Robinson; and one sister, Delores (Dodd) Ferran.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie, of the home; four daughters, Lisa (Kleine) Port Allen, La., Sherry (Kleine) Coppedge of Cambridge, Vt., Delores "DeDe" (Kleine) Cumbie of Hot Springs, Ark. and Stella (Kleine) Waynesboro, Miss.; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Corine (Dodd) Penson; Mary (Dodd) Hill; Leta Mae (Dodd) Johnson, Terry Jane (Dodd) Arnold and Betty (Dodd) Morgan; two brothers, David Bruce Dodd and Jerry Dodd; three step-children; Jerold Smith and Amandea Etherton, both of Altus and Danny Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Dodd, Jerry Hill, Mike Howe, Fred Williams, Bill Dodd, and Bob Johnson.

Honorary bearers will be Bill Teague and Tony Blankenship.

Linda Darlene Smith

Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Linda Darlene (Yarbrough) Smith are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Tate Mountain Cemetery with Rick Madron officiating.

Smith, 54, died Oct. 14, 2004 in Denison, Texas. She was born in Wewoka to Charles Garfield "C.G." and Ruby Mae (Murray) Yarbrough on May 9, 1951.

She married Robert L. smith in 1985 and was a homemaker who enjoyed collecting Native American artwork and fishing.

Her father; two sisters, Louetta Northcott and Cleo Gail Baxley; grandchild Courtney Stackhouse; and nephew Larry "Porky" Calvert all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of N.C.; her mother Ruby Mae Demings of Denison, Texas; four sisters, Patricia Ann Brock and Ilda Jean Romans of Denison, Texas, Bobbie Kay Bobbit of Ada and Nora "Bert" McMennamy of Kemp; and brother Monty Ray Yarbrough of Denison, Texas.

In addition, she has three children, Linda Gail (Madron) French of Wewoka, George LeWayne Madron of N.J. and Taleghia Renee Shaffer of Mesquite, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Faye Lucille (Dillman) Smith

Faye Lucille (Dillman) Smith, 82, passed away in Sunset Nursing Home in Tecumseh on Friday July 16, 2004.

She was born in Skitook on Sept. 30, 1921 to Stowman C. Dillman and Blanche Artel (Rider) Dillman.

Graveside Services are scheduled for Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. John Lively officiating.

Lucille attended school in Butner and graduated from Okemah High School in 1939.

Smith married Raymond W. Smith Jr. on February 7, 1942 at Ellington Air Base, Houston, TX.

Raymond preceded her in death on November 28, 2001.

Smith joined the WACS in Muskogee on December 1, 1944. She attended Basic Training at Ft. Oglethorp, GA.

She then served for the Ordnance Division at Aberdeen Providing Grounds, Maryland. Later serving at the Adjutant’s General Office, Washington, DC.

She was Honorably Discharged at Fort Sam Houston, TX on December 6, 1945.

Smith worked for Mr. Flowers and Governor Red Phillips, and J. Walter Long, Attorney.

Later in her career she worked for Cherokee Pipe Line Company in Wewoka; James F. Haning, W.J. Haning, Huser and Huser and John Lively, Attorneys at Law and retired in 1982.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and member of the American Geological Society.

She is survived by: one son : David and wife, Judy Smith of Burleson, TX., one Dau: Suzanne (Smith) and husband, Dana Harris of Seminole; grand son: Rick and Suan Streater of Shawnee; grand Son: Heath & Christy Streater of Prague; great-grand children: Jace and Jenna Streater of Shawnee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond; one sister, Louise (Dillman) Goodwin, and one daughter, Rebecca Blanch Smith.

Maxine J. ‘Max’ Smith

Services for Seminole resident Maxine J. "Max" Smith are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service. Rev. Forest West will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee.

She died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004 at the age of 70 in her home.

Smith was born in Tecumseh on June 16, 1934 to Raymond and Josie (Nichelson) Scarbrough.

Smith attended Shawnee Schools.

Smith worked for General Motors until she retired in 1997.

She married Jim Trammell and later married JC Smith.

Smith was a born again Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul David Trammell, in 1996, (owner of Star Pharmacy); and one grandson, Curtis Scott Trammell, 1972.

Smith is survived by her husband, JC Smith, of the home; and three sons and daughters-in-law Jimmie Dale and Deborah Trammell of Wetumka; Roger and Sherry Trammell of Norman; and Danny and Teresa Trammell of Seminole.

Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive Smith.

She is survived by one sister, Norma Cowden of Shawnee; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Wanda Scarbrough of Moore; Glen and Elena Scarbrough of Claremore; David and Claudia Scarbrough of Shawnee; and one daughter-in-law, Shelly Trammell of Seminole.

Patsy Smith

Funeral services for Seminole resident Pasty Smith, 61 are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Frisco, Texas.

Rev. Raymond Horne will be officiating.

Smith will be laid to rest at Little Elm Cemetery in Frisco, Texas, under the direaction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Smith died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004 at Wewoka Nursing Center.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1942 in Dallas to Cecil and Gladys (Hazelwood) Stark.

Smith was a Seminole resident for 12 years before moving to High Point, NC.

She married Donald Smith on July 2, 1975 in Dallas.

She was a registered nurse and worked Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Maud.

She was preceded in death by her father and her husband .

She is survived by her mother, two daughters Marion Smith of Norman and Gwen Frazier of Goodyear, Ariz; three brothers Robert Stark of Frisco, Texas and John Stark of Celina, Texas, Gene Stark of Dallas; and one sister Jane Bradley of West Des Moine, Iowa.
