Funeral Services for Luke David Stark, infant son of Matthew Daniel and Angela (Manley) Stark, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
Stark was born and died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Women’s Renaissance Center in Midwest City.
Stark was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Porter and Bessie Stark and Lewis Bada; and maternal grandfather, S. Lynn Manley.
He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Angela Stark of the home; sister, Sarah Ane Stark of the home; and grandparents, Sally Wilkerson of Seminole, Oscar Stark of Seminole, Nora Bada of Seminole, and Anne and Oren Ruggles of Yuma, Ariz.
Robert W. ‘Steve’ Stephens
Former Holdenville resident Chief Warrant Officer Robert W. "Steve" Stephens, (retired U.S. Air Force), 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in Missouri.
Steve was born on Aug. 6, 1921, to Louis Perry and Bertha Mae (Sinkhorn) Stephens in Skiatook.
Steve and his family moved to Holdenville in 1931, and went on to graduate from Holdenville High School, and he also attended OU School of Engineering.
Steve joined the Army in 1942 then later joined the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1969 after serving 26 years.
After retiring in 1969 he and his wife Peggy and son Rob returned to Holdenville in 1970.
Steve was a wonderful Christian man and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Rev. John Lively will officiate. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Survivors include wife, Peggy Stephens of the home; two children, Elleen and husband John Keeton of Winchester, Ky., and Rob and wife Kim Stephens of New Baden, Ill.; nieces Debbie and husband Dennis Phillips of Wewoka, Luwanna Baker of Wewoka and Pam and Carl Upshaw of Rose.
Other survivors include seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marguerite Stephenson
Memorial services for former Seminole resident, Marguerite Stephenson are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12 in the Fleming center at the Methodist Manor, 4134 East 31st Street in Tulsa.
Services are under the direction of Freeman Harris Funeral Home of Tulsa.
Stephenson died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at the age of 84.
She was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Weleetka to John and Mary Thomas.
She married Clem Stephenson in 1937.
She owned Marguerite’s Boutique in Seminole and he was an attorney in Seminole.
The couple lived in Seminole from 1952-1968, and then moved to Fairbanks, Alaska.
From humble beginnings, she rose to become a delegate to the 1964 National Democratic Convention in Atlantic City.
Her life was one of remarkable tenacity, touching many people in many ways.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clem Stephenson; one son, John Stephenson; two daughters, Judy Kay Houston and Mary Stephanie Leightliner; two sisters, Patricia Schweer and Jean Eeds; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; as well as other family and friends.
Darvin Steward
Services, with military honors, for Maud resident Darvin Steward are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Maud. Rev. Gus Monreal will officiate.
Services are being handled by Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home.
He will be buried in the Gable Cemetery, between Meeker and Prague, following the service.
Steward died in a Prague hospital on Sunday. He was 69.
He was born March 21, 1935 in Harjo to Marvin and Nola Bell (Cowen) Steward.
Steward moved from Tecumseh to Maud in 1969.
Steward married Iva May (Wolfington) on Aug. 6 1955 at Romulas Baptist Church.
He owned and operated the Maud Auction, where he was also the auctioneer, for 35 years.
Steward was a veteran of the Army.
A 32nd degree Mason, Steward was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge in Maud.
He was also a member of the Maud Eastern Star, the McAlester Consistory and was a former member of the Maud VFW.
Steward was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Jaqueta Steward.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; his mother of Shawnee; one son, Darwin of Shawnee; one daughter, Peggy Phillips of Meeker; two brothers, David of Tecumseh and Danny.
Danny Stidham
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Danny C. Stidham were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3. in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel of Enid with Duane Owen officiating.
Services were under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home of Enid.
Interment followed at 2 p.m. in the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole.
Stidham died Friday, Jan. 31, 2004, at the age of 52 in his home in Enid.
He was born Oct. 8, 1951, in Shawnee to Robert and Sara Stidham.
He graduated from Wewoka High School in 1969 and Seminole Junior College in 1971.
He married Connie Myers on June 4, 1971 and worked in the oil business as a production foreman for 20 years.
He worked with Energy Management Control for the last eight years.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Jerod of Altus; daughter, Melissa Arch and husband, Nathan of St. Paul, Minn.; granddaughter, Maddison; mother, Sara Stidham of Pawhuska; mother and father-in-law, Johnny and Dovie Myers of Wewoka; Maternal grandmother, Lucille Morris of Pawhuska; and sisters, Donna Wiggins of Pawhuska and Nancy Reeves of Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stidham; his brother, Robert "Bobby" Stidham; paternal grandparents, John and Clara Stidham and maternal grandfather, Floyd Morris.
Danny was loved by all.
Kenneth Stiffler
Graveside services for former Seminole resident, Kenneth Eugene Stiffler are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2004, at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 13 from 12-6 p.m. at the Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St., Tulsa.
Stiffler, loving husband, son, father and brother departed this life on June 11, 2004, at the age of 46 at his home in Catoosa.
He was born Aug. 30, 1957 in Shawnee to Carl Eugene and Ella Hammon Stiffler.
He graduated from Seminole High School in 1975 and later graduated from OSU Okmulgee.
He was employed by Bradin Steel for 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl and sister, Rhonda.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi of the home; mother, Ella Stiffler of Oklahoma City; daughters Stephanie (Brian) of Shawnee, Stacy (Stanley) of Independence, Kan. and Megan of the home; sister, Donna Slinker and husband, Ron of Euless, Texas; brother, Ron Stiffler and wife, Tamra of Stewartstown, Pa; grandchildren, Dustin and Hanna Broughton and Andre Bauer; nephews, Ian and Eric Slinker; in-laws, Russell and Nina Nolan of Tecumseh; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Stiffler’s greatest love was his family and he will be greatly missed by them.
The family wishes to thank St. Francis Hospice for their help and loving concern.
Fannie Mae Stillwell
Funeral services for former longtime Seminole resident Fannie Mae Stillwell are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Larry Crawford officiating.
Interment is to follow services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Stillwell, 85, of Norman died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 in McPherson, Kan. She was born in Hitchit June 20, 1919 to Joseph Sevier and Cathie Davis.
She married Henry Stillwell, Jr. on Nov. 8, 1943 in Seminole and performed domestic work. Stillwell was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Norman.
Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1992.
Her survivors include a daughter, Juanita Landrum of McPherson, Kan., and six grandchildren.
Sandra Faye Stone
Graveside services for Konawa resident Sandra Faye Stone, 58, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Vamoosa Cemetery with Rev. Pam Shirk officiating.
Stone died Sept. 29, 2004 at her residence. She was born Aug. 30, 1946 in Charleston, W. Va., to Leonard E. and Genevieve (Cannaberry) Maston.
She married George "Herbie" Stone, Jr. on Nov. 30, 1964 in Charleston, W. Va. and has been a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She also worked at T.G.Y. main office for some time.
Stone moved to the Konawa area three years ago from Ft. Myers, Fla. She was a member of Bigley Avenue Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Charleston, W. Va. Stone was a 1946 graduate from Charleston High School.
Her grandparents, Delbert and Marbel Cannaberry; parents; brother, Glen Maston; and two special uncles, Junior Art Ednes and Woodrow Allen all preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, George "Herbie" Stone of the home; three daughters, Teresa Lynn Sheppard of Konawa, Pamela Stone of Noble, and Carmen Boye of Cape Coral, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Kasey Sheppard Aldridge, Christopher Stone, Joey Stone, Sabrina Mayab, D.J. Mayab, Anna Boye and Logan Boye.
Honorary bearers will be Christopher Stone, David Sheppard, George Bender, Dean Brown, Tommy Aldridge, Rocky Aldridge, and J.W. Walters.
The services will be under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
