Memorial service for longtime Seminole resident, Ethelda Lue "Tillie" Humphrey Brown Temple are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at God’s House Church located at 20 Harjo Street in Seminole.
Rev. Larry Chesser will officiate the services.
She will be laid to rest in Little Cemetery, north of Seminole by family, however, there will be no graveside services.
Temple died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at the age of 64 in Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Kiowa, Kan. to Orie Clyde Humphrey and Edith Mae Koon.
She had 12 brothers and sisters and graduated from Seminole High School in 1957.
She was a homemaker and mother, raising her children, as well as others.
She is survived by four brothers, Vern Humphrey, Chris Humphrey, John Humphrey and Authur Humphrey; one sister, Jeanette Shrum; seven daughters, Shirley Rawley, Sandra Foutch, Cynthia Kerns, Carol Jo Vance, Cheyenne Chroup, Catherine Mason and Sarah Munday; two sons, Charles Temple Jr. and Michael Temple; 27 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and lifelong friends, Ray Trekell and Jesse Rowe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; five sisters; one daughter, Elyssa Munday; one grandson and one granddaughter.
Terrell I. Jay Lincoln
Funeral services for Terrell I. Jay Lincoln, five-year-old victim of an automobile accident in Seminole County last week, were held Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Faith Fellowship Ministries in Holdenville.
Rev. John T. Berry officiated and burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
The child was buried in a double funeral with his sister, seven-year-old Kianna Lincoln.
Both died of injuries sustained in an accident on March 29 near Nobletown Road.
Kianna was dead at the scene, Terrell died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1997, in Ada to Emery Lincoln and Tyra Field.
He attended school at Creek Nation Headstart in Yeager and attended Shiloh Baptist Faith Fellowship Minisries in Holdenville.
Survivors include his parents, of the home in Holdenville; grandparents, Melvin and Patricia Hooks, Sandra Sequichie and K.T. Fields, and great-grandparents, I.J. and Bernice Hooks.
Alta Mae Thomas
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Alta Mae Thomas, 98, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wilburn officiating.
Interment is to follow services at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Thomas died at home Dec. 5, 204. She was born May 25, 1906 in Brushey Fork, W. Va. to Harry H. Jameson and Malinda Martin.
She married Charles E. Thomas on March 17, 1927 in Pampa, Texas. He preceded her in death June 28, 2000. They were married 73 years at the time of his death.
Thomas was a homemaker and a member of the Northwood Nazarene Church.
Her parents; son Raymond T. Thomas; daughter-in-law Jerry Thomas; grandson Kenneth Thomas; great-granddaughter Katelyn Dolly Bray; five brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, James E. and Peggy Thomas of Norman and Harry Thomas of Bowlegs; one daughter and son-in-law, Loretta M. Long and Johnney of Tulsa and one sister, Elsie Cunningham of Wooster, Ohio.
In addition 15 grandchildren, Ray, Carl Tony, Otho, James M., Susie, Patricia, Sonya, Wilda, John Charles, Curtis, Kenny, Bobby, Steve and June Ann; 42 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren also survive Thomas.
The family greatly appreciates Alta’s Caregivers: Kathy Matthews, Rachel Dennis and the late Jan Chilcote; her doctors: Dr. McCrory and Dr. Kemp; Eastern Hills and Palliative Hospice and all of the others who brought her joy by their visits.
Pall bearers for the services are to be Ray Thomas, Otho Thomas, Carl Thomas, Tony Long, John Charles Long and Curtis Thomas.
The honorary pallbearers are scheduled to be Susie Reagan, James Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Steve Thomas, Wilda Bray, Jimmy Bray, June Ann Regnier, Patricia Cooley and Sonya Zagorski.
Memorials may be made to a charity that will aid children at Christmas, of the givers choice.
Isaah Thomas
Graveside services for Isaah David Blake Thomas, infant son of Alex Preston Miller and Natasha Thomas, both of Edmond, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka with Rev. Johnny Chesser officiating under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Thomas died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at the age of 2 ˝ months at his home in Edmond.
He was born Oct. 18, 2003, in Seminole to Alex Preston Miller and Natasha Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Wade Miller in 1995.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Nichole and Jordan Thomas, both of Edmond; maternal grandparents, Donna and Coy Justice of Wewoka; paternal grandmother, Sherry Miller of Oklahoma City; maternal great grandmothers, Donna Pierce and Francis Gore, both of Holdenville; as well as a host of aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Gore and Coy Justice.
Thelma Price Thomas
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Thelma Price Thomas are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the New Lima High School Auditorium under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Elder Robert Wilson will officiate the services, and burial is set to follow at the Lima Cemetery in Lima.
Thomas died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Seminole Medical Center, at the age of 74.
She was born on July 22, 1929, to Johnnie and Beulah Robinson in Elwood.
Thomas graduated from Douglas High School in Wewoka and later attended nursing school.
She spent her adult life as a domestic worker, for many years taking care of the Glennon Claybrook and Archie Stout families.
On Oct. 15, 1993, she married Henry Thomas in Shawnee. He preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1999.
She was a member of the Church of Living God in Wewoka.
Besides her husband, Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, three sisters and an infant daughter, Lee Ann Price.
She is survived by five children: Lee Ernest Price of Oklahoma City, Shirley Sanders of Seminole, Vennetta Ransom of Oklahoma City, Rose Marie Morrison of Oklahoma City, and Charles Price of Oklahoma City; 22 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Vivian Irby and Ruth Williams, both of Oklahoma City.
Her grandsons will be pallbearers, and her great-grandsons will be honorary pallbearers. Her granddaughters will be flower girls and the ushers will be Helen Kemp and Kay Daniels.
Mollie J. Thomas
Former Wewoka resident Mollie J. Thomas, 69, died Aug. 5, 2004 at her residence in Nevada.
Private family services will be held in Oklahoma and Nevada. Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City, Nev. will be handling the arrangements.
Thomas was born to John Wesley and Lillian (Bontly) Chaney on Oct. 3, 1934. She graduated from Wewoka High School in 1952 and subsequently married Jack Thomas on July 17, 1952 in Wewoka.
She received her Master’s Degree from East Central University in Ada in 1980. Thomas had lived in the Carson City and Dayton areas since 1988, arriving from Oklahoma.
Prior to moving to Nevada she was the director of a local mental health facility in Wewoka. She then worked as a psychologist for the State of Nevada – Department of Prisons.
Thomas was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wewoka.
Her parents and her sister Marie "Randie" Wolzen precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband of Dayton, Nev.; sons Jay Thomas of Yukon, and Mark Thomas of Reno, Nev.; daughter, Kaye Knight of Dayton, Nev.; brother, A.B. Chaney of Wewoka; six grandsons; one granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.
A memorial has been established with St. Mary’s Foundation Hospice Fund located at 520 W. Sixth Street in Reno, Nev. 89503-9911.
Evelyn Thompson
Funeral services for Seminole resident, Evelyn Maxine Thompson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kelvin Moseley officiating.
Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Thompson died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at the age of 80 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
She was born April 17, 1923, in Bryant to James William Dinwiddie and Callie Marie (Teel) Dinwiddie.
She married Robert Clifton Thompson on Nov. 29, 1942, in Okemah.
Thompson moved to Seminole in 1982 from Velma.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church and Berean Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thompson on Aug. 18, 1997; and one brother, J.W. Dinwiddie
She is survived by two sons, Jimmie Dale Thompson of Livingston, Texas and Tommy Joe Thompson of Gainesville, Texas; one daughter, Vicky Kay White of Seminole; one brother, Jerry Wayne Dinwiddie of Yukon; one sister, Joyce Scott of Tranquillity, Calif.; six grandchildren, Rene’ Ellison, Jill Edwards, Brent White, Brian White, Tommy Thompson Jr., Lisa Allen and Brandon Smith; and 16 great grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Brent White, Brian White, Tommy Thompson, Cooper Ellison and Jeremy Edwards.
Bettye Jo Beavers-Thornton
Funeral services for Seminole County native, Bettye Jo Beavers-Thornton of Oklahoma City are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 7 at the Fairview Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with Bishop Fred H. Bobbitt officiating.
Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 at the Pollard Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
Interment will be at the Westwood Cemetery of Wewoka under the direction of the Pollard Funeral Home.
Albert Tiger
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Albert Tiger are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, April 8 at the Stout-Phillips Chapel with Revs. Leon Postoak and Billy Joe Harjo officiating.
Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery, under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Tiger passed away April 3, 2004, at the age of 72 years.
He was born on April 25, 1931, in Seminole County to Parnosky and Ida Mae (Boney) Tiger.
He was raised and attended school in Spaulding.
After high school he attended school for an Electronic Technician.
At the time of his death he was working in Maintenance at McDonalds in Shawnee.
He lived in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Los Angeles, and Chicago until moving to McCloud where he remained a resident until the time of his death.
He was a member of the Many Springs Baptist Church.
Tiger is survived by his children Robin and Deanna Tiger of Moore and Bridgitte Denmark of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; three sister Juanita Tiger and Wanda Postoak, both of Oklahoma City and MagDelene Elliott of Midwest City
He was preceded in death by his parents Parnosky and Ida Mae Tiger; three brothers Nana, Ollie and Dickie Tiger; and four sisters Emma Davis, Anna Tiger, Jowina Reed and Rachel Tiger.
