He is survived by his parents, Marcia and Gary Hinkel of Hugo and Tony and Toni Whittmore of Talequah; two brothers, Kacy Whittmore of Grant and Cameron Woodruff of Hugo; one sister, Sarah Whittmore of Talequah; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. W.E. Napier, Jr. of Hugo and Mr. & Mrs. Joyce of Nocona, Texas and his great-grandmother, Ella Whittmore of Muskogee.

Services for Johnny Ray Sweeden, of Valliant, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 4, 2003 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo.
Johnny Ray Sweeden died Jan. 1, 2003 in Paris, Texas. He was 71.
Johnny Ray Sweeden was born Jan. 14, 1931 in Osage to Theodore and Mabel (Overstreet) Sweeden. He lived in Sand Springs until moving to Valliant 26 years ago. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951-1953.
He is survived by three sons, Raymond L. Sweeden and wife Carol of Millerton, Johnny E. Sweeden of Salt Lake City, Utah and Darrel W. Sweeden of DeQueen, Ark.; one daughter, Patricia A. Richard and husband Bill of Valliant; one sister, Gwen Alma of Keystone; three grandchildren, Billy Richard & wife Kelli, Cherity Wallace and Josh Sweeden; seven great grandchildren; Hanna Richard, Jatelyn Wallace, Amanda Wallace, Chelsey Wallace and husband James, D.J. Graham, Brandi Graham and Matt Graham.

Sim Thompson
Services for Sim Thompson, of Hugo, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 6, 2003 at the South Central District Building in Hugo. Elder Aster Cooper, Jr officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Fort Towson Cemetery.
Sim Thompson died Dec. 26, 2002 at the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 78.
He is survived by his daughter, Pecoria Cole of Hugo; his son, Richard Scott of Los Angeles, his brother, R.C. Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz. and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Opal Ingham
Graveside services for Opal Ingham , of Hugo, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 3, 2003 at the Grant Cemetery.
Opal Ingham died Dec. 31, 2002 at the Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. She was 95.
Opal Ingham was born Nov. 16, 1907 in Caldwell County, Mo. to Cambel and Neva (Walker) Bales.
She was preceded in death by her six children.
She is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Comora James
Services for Comora James, of Hugo, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 2, 2003 at the Rogan Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. Brother Charles Parker officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Crosley Cemetery.
Comora James died Dec. 24, 2002 at the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan. She was 82.
She is survived by her brother, Linton James of Tulsa and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
