Graveside services for Ira J. Ware, former long time Seminole County resident is scheduled for Monday, March 22, at Little Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home
Ware died Wednesday., March 17, 2004 at the age of 75 in Muskogee.
He was born Jan.3, 1929 in Seminole to Rupert and Alice Ware.
He married Evelyn "Trixie" (Bivin) on Oct. 25, 1949 in Shielder.
He worked most of his life in the oilfield, and was a former owner of American Bit Company.
He was a veteran having served in the US Marines.
He was a member of First Baptist church of Shielder and a former member of the Elks Lodge.
.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn on Feb. 9, 1997; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Chesser of Holdenville; Rita Scott of Lake Eufaula; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Johnny Ware
A private graveside family service for former Seminole resident Johnny Clayton Ware is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Ware, 58, of Ada, died Dec. 9, 2004 at Valley View Regional Hospital. He was born July 2, 1946 in Seminole to Roger Clayton and Billie Jo (Foley) Ware.
He married Jacklyn Lee Floyd on Oct. 27, 2000 in Arkansas. Ware rebuilt drill bits for the oilfield and was self-employed.
His survivors include: his mother, Billie Ware of Sapulpa; wife Jackie Ware of the home; two daughters, Amy Anderson of Oklahoma City and Shana Southern of Seminole; sister Sandra Plum of Bristow; four grandchildren; and the mother of daughter Amy, Linda Richmond of Oklahoma City.
Lance Warledo
Funeral service for Seminole County resident, Lance Warledo of Wewoka will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Houston Tiger and Chad Smith officiating.
Visitation and Wake services will be Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. at the family home 1609 S. Okfuskee in Wewoka
He will be taken to Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church, at 10 a.m., Wednesday Morning;
Interment will follow at Thlocco family cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Warledo died on June 5, 2004, at his home at the age of 26 years.
He was born March 9, 1978, in Shawnee to Leo and Amy (Thlocco) Warledo.
He was raised in Seminole county and attended school at Justice and Sasakwa.
He was employed in the inspection department at Wrangler in Seminole.
He enjoyed his life to the fullest and loved to joke with his brothers and family.
He loved his wife and children very much and was very devoted to them.
He enjoyed watching movies and listening to music.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie (Yahola) Warledo, his parents Leo and Amy Warledo of the home, five children Lance Warledo Jr., Kaleb K. Warledo, Kyle Wade Warledo, SeAnne Warledo, and Courtney Warledo all of the home, maternal grandmother Kizzie Thlocco of Wewoka, three brothers Troy, Lucas, and Jonathon Warledo all of Wewoka, three sisters Melissa Warledo of Tulsa, Angie Simons of Seminole, and April Warledo of Wewoka.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Bunnie Thlocco, one brother Nicholas Warledo, and one aunt Lois Gomez.
Pallbearers will be Gary Simons, Kevin Fox, Eric Thlocco, Chris Gomez, Jeremy Gomez, Derek Ponkilla, Thadius Frazier, Mike Goins, and Twyn Warledo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Marcus Moore, Galand Moore, Ray Dyer Jr., Ryan Moppin, and Rick Woods.
Frank Shawn Warrior
Services for Frank Shawn Warrior, Wewoka resident, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka. Interment will be at the Thomastown Cemetery in Sasakwa.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Warrior died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004. He was 42.
Warrior was born to the late Rev. Enrit and Bessie Warrior on Jan. 14, 1962, in Ada.
He grew up in Sasakwa where he attended New Model School and Byng Schools. Warrior graduated in 1980.
Warrior united his life with Thomas Town Baptist Church at an early age and his membership remained there until his death.
Warrior is preceded in death by one daughter, Kymberlee Warrior; one sister, Annette Warrior; and one brother, Johnnie Lee Warrior.
Survivors include his fiancée, Vicki Soar, four daughters, Alaya, Roshawn, Frankie, Kimberlie, and one son, Frank Warrior Jr., all of the home; two brothers, Clifford and Roger Warrior of Sasakwa; five sisters, Lena Thompson, of Shawnee, Glenda Warrior of Wewoka, Ruthetta Warrior, Pricilla Warrior and Gloria Warrior, all of Sasakwa.
Doris Washington
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Doris Orleen Washington are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 8 at the Cowley-Krien Funeral Home Chapel of Sulphur with Rev. Willard McCartney.
Interment will follow at the Dougherty Cemetery under the direction of the Cowley-Krien Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
She died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at the age of 79 at Seminole Hospital.
She was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Prague to Wesley and Francis Sequora Pechacek.
She was born and raised in Prague where she graduated from high school.
She attended Draughan’s Business School in Tulsa after graduation, later moving to Oklahoma City.
She married James B. Washington on May 3, 1952, in Prague.
She lived, worked and raised her family in the Oklahoma City area and moved to the Arbuckle Lake area in 1962 where she lived until she began staying with her daughter in Maud.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Washington in 1991 and her parents.
She is survived by one son, James Washington of Sulphur; one daughter, Cheryl Washington of Maud; one grandson; two brothers, Charles Pechacek. of Seminole and Joe Pechacek. of Houston, Texas; and three sisters, Lara Bell Varner and Mary Frances Ainsworth, both of Oklahoma City and Betty Seabeck of Wellston.
Casket bearers will be Willie Ferguson, Chuck Bellefeuille, Tommy Pechacek., Peter Pechacek, Gordon Varner, Chuck Fawcett, Roger Fawcett and Larry Seabeck.
Honorary bearer will be Darin Rogers.
Jess Wasson
Funeral services for Seminole resident, Jesse R. Wasson are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stephen Haney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Family will be receiving friends at the First Christian Church after the service.
Wasson died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at the age of 66 in his home in Seminole.
He was born June 8, 1937, in Wesley to Oliver P. Wasson and Syvilla Victory (Carpenter) Wasson.
He married Margaret Sue Harris Wasson on June 20, 1996 at the First Christian Church in Seminole.
Wasson retired after serving in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1955-1975 receiving the Silver Star and Two Crosses of Gallantries for Heroism in Vietnam.
He was a Mastery Gunery Sgt.
He later retired from Dresser Rand Compression Service in Enid.
Wasson was a member of the First Christian Church where he was also a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sue Wasson of the home; two sons, Kenneth Wasson of Casper, Wy. and Dave Wasson of Tahlequah; daughter, Shari Welsh and husband, Bill of Lindsay; step-daughter, Jasie Parsons and husband, Jody of Tulsa; step-son, Steven Harris of Seminole; brother, Floyd Wasson and wife, Jeanette of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Myrtle Davidson of Oklahoma City and Rachel Tidmore and husband, Elroy of Sharon; brother-in-law, Ray Fulsom of Okemah; three grandchildren, Sean and Ashley Welsh of Lindsey and Jesse David Wasson of Casper, Wyo.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Victor Watts
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident, Victor L. Watts, of Wewoka will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 26 at First Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Internment will be held at Konawa Cemetery in Konawa, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Watts passed away at the Veterans Nursing Center in Ardmore at the age of 76.
Victor was born on January 14, 1928, to Marvin and Kittie (Robbins) Watts.
Victor was raised in the Konawa area and graduated from Konawa High School.
He served in World War 11 as a paratrooper, and then entered the service again in 1950 as a medic in the Korean War.
Victor married Mary Gallagher in Hanford, California on July 5, 1946.
Victor and Mary have been married for 57 years.
Victor was self-employed in the car wash business until his retirement in 2001.
His parents Marvin and Kittie Watts; his four sisters Mildred Watts Patterson, Irene Watts Patterson, Hazel Watts Bohanan, Christine Watts Cranefield, and two brothers Earl Watts, and Roland Watts preceded Victor in death.
Victor is survived by his wife Mary of the home, two daughters Vickie Barkhimer of Wewoka, and Patricia Burleson of Oklahoma City, one brother Jack Watts of Konawa, one grandson Gregory Victor Duggan and wife Christa of Oklahoma City, one great grandson Tristen Duggan of Oklahoma City.
Pallbearers will be V.F.W.
Honorary Pallbearers will be L.D. Tribble, Men’s prayer breakfast, Gerald Hill Sunday school Class, Gary Thomas and Raymond Cain.
Minnie Webb
Private family services for Seminole resident, Minnie Webb are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17 with interment to follow at the Crossroads Cemetery in Sasakwa.
Services will be under the direction of the Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Webb died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at the age of 94 at the Seminole Medical Center.
She was born April 22, 1910, in Summerville, Mo. to John W. Summers and Lola Alverta Armfield.
She was married to Cletice Allan Webb on April 2, 1927, in Sasakwa.
She moved to Seminole 11 years ago, from Phoenix, Ariz.
She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on May 24, 1992, and one infant daughter, Billie Jean Webb.
She is survived by one sister, Veta Choate.
