Services for former Seminole resident Ray Webber are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Lindsay. Revs. Randy Allen and Aaron Lokey are scheduled to officiate.
Interment will be at the Little Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home.
Webber died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Norman Regional Hospital. He was 83.
Webber was born May 13, 1921, in Stonebluff to Ed and Stella Webber.
Webber married Violet Warrington on Sept. 18, 1941.
From 1943-45, Webber served his country in Europe with Company 1, 275th Infantry Regiment 70th Division.
He worked in the oil field industry and retired from ARCO in 1982.
He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay where he served as a deacon.
Webber way preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Fay Elrich; sister, Lena Mae Long; and brother, Edward Webber.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; one sister, Juanita Vandergriff; one son, Tom of Kalamazoo, Mich.

Elsie Fern Welch
Funeral services for Seminole resident Elsie Fern Welch are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Temple of Praise with Rev. Harold Turner officiating.
Interment is to follow services at Little Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 4 – 8 p.m. on Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home.
Welch, 86, died Nov. 5, 2004 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home. She was born in Eddy to Homer Kay Sr. and Ada May (O’Dell) Kay on Jan. 25, 1918.
She married Hubert Welch Aug. 11, 1934 in Oklahoma City and has lived in Seminole since 1952. Welch was a Protestant and a member of the Temple of Praise Church.
Her husband and daughter, Rebecca Welch Dunn, preceded her in death.
She is survived by six sons, Butch Welch of Seminole, Bud Welch of Dustin, Richard Welch of Alpharetta, Ga., Don Welch of Dewey, Ariz., Michael Welch of Tuttle, and Dean Welch of Seminole; two daughters, Carol Christensen of Burnsville, Minn. and Melodie Fulmer of Edmond.
In addition, three brothers, Billy Kay, Millard Kay and Homer Kay Jr.; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren also survivor her.
The pallbearers for the services will be her grandsons and the honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Louise Welsh
Funeral services for longtime Seminole teacher, Louise Welsh are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16 at the Swearingen Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Gary O. Wilburn officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Welsh died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the age of 93, at her Seminole residence.
She was born April 27, 1910, in Chanute, Kan. to Sarah Hattie Robinson Welch and William Jasper Welsh.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Oklahoma College for Women (OCW) in Chickasha and a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
She was a Phi Beta Kappa scholar.
She taught 32 years in the Seminole Public Schools and Seminole Junior College beginning in 1932.
She taught history, English, Spanish and government.
She had an avid interest in the history of Seminole, and even co-authored a book, "History of the Greater Oil Field, " with fellow faculty members, Willia Mae Townes and John Morris.
Welsh joined the Department of History at OU in 1964 where she taught for 13 years, completing 45 years of teaching.
She was Chairman of the Social Studies Certificate Program Committee and a member of the Education Professions Division Council.
Under the Prospective Teacher’s Fellowship Program, she wrote the Academic Plan and acted as Assistant Director.
In 1977, she retired and returned to Seminole.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, PEO, Self Culture Club, and a charter member of AAUW.
In 1985, Delta Kappa Gamma honored her with their Red Rose award.
She served as president of the Seminole Branch of Church Women United, the Seminole Historical Society, the Seminole Public Library and was elected to the Seminole Hall of Fame in 1983.
Welsh enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking.
She applied to these, the same enthusiasm and perfection she had devoted to education throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves a long list of friends and especially many students whose lives she has touched.
Pallbeares will be James Streets, Bill Tyo, David Cook, Gene Bergerson, Jeff James and Josh Pyron.
Honorary pallbearers are Leon Freeman, Duane Oliver, Rob Pyron, Dr. Brendan O’Keeffe, Zack Pyron and Dr. Rodney McCrory.
Jerry Wheeler
Funeral services for Seminole native, Jerry Allen Wheeler are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Kirk Goss officiating.
Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole under the direction of the Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Wheeler died Friday, March 26, 2004, at the age of 24 at his residence in Bethany.
He was born Aug. 14, 1979, in Seminole to Cindy Pauline Wheeler.
He has worked in the oilfields as a rough neck and has lived in the Oklahoma City area since he was three.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Wheeler and great grandmother and great grandfather.
He is survived by his mother, Cindy Wheeler of Oklahoma City; one son, Dayton Wheeler and two daughters, Ashli Taylor and Emily Wheeler, all of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Kolt, Joey and Kristopher Kelough of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Keena and Heaven Kelough, both of Oklahoma City and Nichol Kelough of Alaska.
Serving as pall bearers will be Jim Wheeler, Darin Wheeler, Merion Wheeler, Kolt Kelough, Brian Rowe and Earnest Kelough.
Lillie Ann Whisenhunt
SASAKWA – A family memorial service for Sasakwa resident Lillie Ann Whisenhunt is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Sasakwa Assembly of God, Pastor Wes Martin officiating.
Whisenhunt died in her home Sunday Nov. 14, 2002, after a house fire. She was 70.
She was born in Coal County May 2, 1934, to James and Cleo Wheat.
Whisenhunt attended Jackson School in Oklahoma City.
She retired from Western Electric in 1986.
Whisenhunt has lived in Sasakwa for the past 12 years and was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Cleo Wheat and one sister, Cordia Howry.
Whisenhunt is survived by three children, Linda Queern of Asberry, Va., Joyce Pyeatt of Cake Jackson, Texas, and Kenneth Raymond Williford of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, June Badgett of Oklahoma City, and Ruth Albertson of Sasakwa; and one brother, Raymond Wheat of Oklahoma City.
Clovis White
Graveside services for Seminole resident, Clovis Lewis White are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, with interment to follow.
Rev. Mitch C. Williams will officiate and services will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
White died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at the age of 66 at his home in Seminole.
He was born Feb. 22, 1938, in Cleveland, Wis. to George Hamilton White and Anna (Lewis) White.
He was married to Judy (Lene) White on Aug. 2, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minn.
He was a heavy equipment operator and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He moved to Seminole from Okemah, 16 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy White on May 29, 2002; his parents, one grandchild, Hailey White in Nov. 2002, and two sons, George White on Aug. 29, 2002 and Mark White in 1963.
He is survived by four sons, Greg White, Troy White, Nick White and Trent White, all of Seminole and nine grandchildren.
Jackie Kever White
A worship service celebrating the life of Seminole native Jackie Kever White, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
Rev. Carol Waters will officiate.
Services will be under the direction of Stanley-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.
White died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004 a day before her 79th birthday.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1925 to E.N. and Nettie Kever in Seminole.
White graduated from Seminole High School in 1942 and traveled to California with her older sisters and their families to work in the war effort.
White and her husband-to-be, James F. "Jim" White, courted in San Francisco during the early war years and were married in Seminole on Oct. 20, 1945.
The couple established a photographic studio in Seminole, and in 1946, White studied oil coloring of photographs with the late Viva Fay Lefler in Clinton.
In 1962, the family moved to Clinton where both Jackie and Jim were employed by Blunck’s Studio, Inc.
White was the director of sales and marketing before retiring in 1987.
She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served as elder.
White loved to play bridge, cook, camp, read, work crossword puzzles, and most of all, spend time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jim White; two children, Leslie Adkins, Abilene, Texas, and Jeffrey White, Ames, Iowa; one sister, Rhie Hudson, Odessa, Texas; and four grandchildren.
