Funeral services for Seminole County native, Billy Wolfe of Lamar, were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 at the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church with Revs. Houston Tiger and Fred Lindsey officiating.
Interment followed at the Lamar Cemetery with full military honors performed by the United States Army Honor Guard.
Services were under the direction of the Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Wolfe died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the age of 71 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Wewoka to Timmie and Lizzie (Gouge) Wolfe.
He was reared and attended schools in the Spaulding area, graduating from Spaulding High School.
He joined the United States Army and made it his career, serving for twenty years; he is a veteran of both Korea and Viet Nam.
Wolfe retired from the military in 1973, and returned to Wewoka, where he worked for the Lillian Russell, Custom Size and Big Yank clothing manufacturing companies until the factories closed.
He married Christine Davis on May 3, 1980, in Lamar, and the two of them have made their home there since that time.
Watching wrestling on TV was one of his favorite pastimes.
He cherished his Indian heritage and was a very active participant in stomp dances and other cultural traditions.
Wolfe was a member of the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Christine, of the home; five sons, Ted Isham, Richard Glen Isham, Jerome Allen Isham, Michael Isham and David Isham; three daughters, Susan Hoke-tee' Long, Luci Wolfe and Arlene Isham; twenty-three grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Timmie and Lizzie Wolf, and one brother, Wilbert Wolf.
Pallbearers were Joe Jackson, Jim Factor, Justin Bruner, Jack Harjo, Coche Harjo and Ricky Harjo.
Honorary pallbearers were Hillabee Ceremonial Grounds.
Sampson Burnett Wolfe
Memorial services for former Wewoka resident Sampson Burnett Wolfe are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday at Wewoka Indian Baptist Church.
Wolfe died Sept. 30, 2004 in Santa Clara, Calif. He was born in Wewoka on Sept. 13, 1934 to Lizzie Gaino and Timmy Wolfe.
Two brothers, Billy and Wilbert Wolfe precede him in death.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Ann, Sampson Thomas, Sharon Elizabeth, Robert Steven, Wendy Beth, and Barbara Ann Corriere; brother Nazzie Davis; sister Martha Yahola; seven grandchildren, Crystal Elizabeth Wolfe, Daniel Raymond Gutierrez, Michael Ruben James, David Harold and Richard Randall Roebuck, Nicholas Alexander and Dominic Anthony Corriere; and great-grandson Daniel Michael Gutierrez.

Marie ‘Randie’ Wolzen
Funeral services for Wewoka native Marie "Randie" Wolzen are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller, Texas, under the direction of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home of Colleyville, Texas.
Burial is set to follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Wolzen died Monday, July 5, 2004, in Arlington, Texas.
Wolzen was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Wewoka, to J.W. Chaney and Lillian Chaney.
She was a mortgage banker, spending 35 years in the banking and mortgage business.
She was a lifetime member of ESA Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Wolzen is survived by her husband, Dean B. Wolzen; a daughter, Diane Rowlett of Wewoka; son, Brian Rowlett of Lawton; five step-sons: Terry Wolzen, Roanoke, Texas, Tim Wolzen of Choctaw, Troy Wolzen of Harrah, Barry Wolzen of Trophy Club, Texas, and Bart Wolzen of Hurst, Texas.
She also had 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Hymnal Fund at Messiah Lutheran Church, at 1308 Whitley Road, Keller, Texas.
O.L. Wood
Private family services for former Seminole resident, O.L. Wood of Shawnee were held by the family.
Wood died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the age of 87 in a nursing home in Shawnee.
Alta Wood
Funeral services for Seminole resident Alta Vesta Patterson Wood are set to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the Hudson-Phillips Chapel at 301 E. Main, Holdenville.
Burial will follow at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Wood passed away on April 22, 2004, in Seminole, at the age of 94.
She was born in Francis on July 29, 1909.
Wood earned B.A. and B.S. degrees from East Central State College in Ada and a Masters of Education degree in library science from the University of Arizona.
She taught in high schools and junior high schools in Oklahoma and Kansas for many years, and served as a librarian at Wichita Heights High School in Wichita, Kan., and at Seminole Junior College.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Wood, and by her parents, five sisters and five brothers.
Alta is survived by her son, Lowell Thomas Wood, and his wife, Marion, of Houston, Texas; grandson, Lance Wood, and wife Kristin, of League City, Texas; granddaughter Kristine Wood of Katy, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Grant, Madison, and Tyler Wood of League City, Texas.
She is also survived by sister-in-law and dear friend Pauline Patterson; sisters-in-law Oneta Patterson and Pauline Wood; brother-in-law Clifford Wood; and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth Addington
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Kenneth L. Addington are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, May 21 at the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Addington died Monday, May 17, 2004, at the age of 86 in Oklahoma City.
He was born March 21, 1918, in Seminole County to Walker L. and Maudie (Combs) Addington.
He was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs and was very instrumental in many of its building projects.
Addington started his working life in the CCC Camps and W.P.A.
Kenneth worked at farming, in factories and in sales for a while before starting his own business.
At different times, he owned restaurants in Stroud and Paden, a flower shop and furniture store in Prague and lastly, Addington’s One Stop, now called the Catfish Round-up Restaurant.
He retired in 1984.
Kenneth was known for his philanthropy and giving nature.
He always had a smile, a kind word, and a sense of humor that raised the spirits of those around him.
He married Audrey M. (Landrum) Addington on Dec. 15, 1937, in Seminole County.
She preceded him in death in July 1988.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walker L. Addington; mother, Maudie (Combs) Addington Gurley and one sister, Myrtle (Addington) Joens.
Addington is survived by two sons, Gene Addington and wife, Judy of Martinsville, Ind. and Bob M. Addington and wife, Qualla of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Roy Gurley and two sisters, Pauline (Gurley) Patterson and Esteen (Gurley) Scott, all of Seminole; four grandchildren, Brent and Mike Cotton and families, Jeff Addington and wife, and Brenda Mitchell; five great grandchildren and his good friend and caretaker, Joyce Martin.
Casket bearers will be Bill Cunningham, Ken Green, Harold Pearson, Kenneth Harbeston, Gary Bloomer, Pat McGinnis and Dempsey Chesser.
Sue Wood
Funeral services for Seminole resident, Sue Kerr Wood are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 8 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rusty Dawson officiating.
Casket will remain open until 1:30 p.m. Monday and will then be closed, not to be reopened.
Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Wood died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the age of 69 at the Unity North Hospital in Shawnee.
She was born Oct. 10, 1934, in Warner to William Wirt Kerr and Molly (Perry) Kerr.
She married Tom S. Wood on July 3, 1955, in Muskogee.
She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper from Conners State College in Warner.
She moved to the Seminole area three years ago, from Ada.
She was a former longtime resident of Muskogee.
She was a member of the Church of Christ of Little, the Cherokee Tribe, and the Oklahoma Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom S. Wood on Jan. 30, 1991; her parents; and two brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Wood) Jacomo and her husband, Ray Jacomo Jr. and one granddaughter, Katie Jacomo, all of Seminole.
Donations may be made to the Seminole State Educational Foundation-Sue Wood Scholarship.
Janice Wright
Funeral services for Janice D. (Donnohue) Wright, wife of former Wewokan Terry Wright, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Dan Factor will officiate. Interment will follow in the Factory cemetery north of Wewoka under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Wright died in Clinton on July 8, 2004, at the age of 53.
She was born Feb. 24, 1951, in McAlester to Vern and Hazel Donnohue.
She graduated from McAlester High School in 1969 was active in Rainbow and attended East Central University for one year.
She married Terry J. Wright on Aug. 6, 1971, in McAlester and had been a homemaker and resident of Clinton since 1980.
She was an accomplished pianist and collected fish, eagles and Scottie dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Terry James Wright, of the home; and one daughter, Jamie Ann Wright of Norman.
