Funeral services for lifelong Konawa resident Pearl Evelyn Jackson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Richard Winters officiating.
Interment will follow services at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Jackson, 88, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 at Jan Francis Nursing Center in Ada. She was born June 22, 1916 in Sasakwa to Walter Barrett and Lizzie (Neal) Barrett.
She married Wintford Jackson on Nov. 6, 1932 in Sasakwa and was a homemaker who belonged to the Church of Christ in Konawa.
Her parents, husband, one son William Paul Jackson, three brothers, and one sister all preceded her in death.
Surviving her are four sons, Bill Jackson of Henryetta, Danny Jackson of Del City, Larry Jackson of the home and Ronnie Jackson of Midwest City; one sister Opal O. Daniel of Ada; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers for the service will be Kyle White, Bradley Jackson, Damon Jackson, Justin Jones, Michael Hill and Jason Brown.
Temple Jackson
Funeral services for Seminole resident Temple Langwell Jackson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah with Dr. Bob Rogers officiating.
Interment is to follow the services at Morse Cemetery, located north of Okemah.
Jackson, 99, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 in Seminole. She was born May 28, 1905 in Montrose, Miss. to William P. and Ocie Webster.
She grew up in the Okemah area having graduated from Mason High school in the early 20’s. She and J.B. Langwell were married March 7, 1925.
The couple moved to Seminole after they were married and later moved back to the Okemah area in 1967. She then married Charley Jackson March 1, 1978.
Jackson was a housewife and a member of the Calvary Baptist church of Okemah. She enjoyed gardening, her flowerbeds and quilting.
Her husbands, daughter, Arlene, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Don Langwell of Seminole and Jim Langwell of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Wilma Langwell Plank of Huber Heights, Ohio; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Yolanda Jackson
A memorial service for Seminole resident Yolanda Evette (Stillwell) Jackson is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Temple of Deliverance Baptist Church.
Officiating at the service will be Rev. Raymond Woods and Rev. Maggie Jean Horton.
Jackson died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at Pioneer Nursing Home. She was born in Tulsa Sept. 5, 1961 to Herman and Mildred Stillwell.
She married Cecil Ray Jackson on Feb.3, 1995 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2003.
For employment she was a CMA and Nursing Assistant in Seminole and Wewoka. She also worked at Seminole Estates and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Surviving her are her parents; four children, Chandrika Williams, Larena Stillwell, Lamario Stillwell and Percy Stillwell; five step-children, Tyrone Jackson, Cecil Ray Jackson Jr., Shawn Jackson, Monzell Jackson and Romeo Jackson and 11 grandchildren,
In addition three brothers, Larry Stillwell, Freddie Stillwell and Anthony Ray Stillwell; sister, Darlene Stillwell; half-brother, James Albert Stillwell and two step-sisters, Loretta Stillwell and Norma Jean Stillwell.
Isaac Johnson
Funeral services for longtime Konawa resident Isaac Wesley Johnson are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cold Springs Baptist Church of Konawa with Rev, Dorsey Nero and Rev. Arthur Carpitcher to officiate.
Interment is to follow services at Emarthle Family Cemetery under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Wake services will be held Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m. at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home.
Johnson, 67, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at his residence in Konawa. He was born Sept. 1, 1938 in Spaulding to Newman and Eliza (Emarthle) Johnson.
He married Betsy Wolf on June 27, 1963 in Konawa and received an honorable discharge from the Oklahoma National Guard on May 1, 1958, and from the Army Reserve on May 1, 1963.
Johnson worked in construction for several years and was currently working part-time at the United States Post Office in Konawa.
He was a member of the Baptist faith and sang with the Seminole Boys Gospel Group.
His parents, one daughter, Lanita Johnson (1966) and one sister preceded him in death.
Surviving is his wife Betsy Johnson; one son, Michael Johnson; two daughters, Beverly Givens and Sandra Johnson, all of Konawa; three sisters, Lucy George of Holdenville, Susie Buchanan and Sally Johnson, both of Konawa; one brother, Frank Johnson of Konawa and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers for the services will be Junior George, Gregory George, Ronnie George, Russell Johnson, Jared Johnson and Chris Buchanan.
Honorary bearers will be Marcus Harjo, Harry Douglas, Leroy (Keno) King, Bruce Douglas, Jeremy Alberson and Nelvin Hudson.
Jimmie N. Johnson
Funeral service for Seminole resident Jimmie N. Johnson are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God in Tecumseh. Rev. Chad Brodrick, pastor of First Assembly of God is set to officiate.
Interment is set to follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Johnson died Monday, March 14, 2005, at the age of 75, in Norman.
She was born September 8, 1929 to Andrew and Fannie (Rutherford) Sharp in Ray City.
Johnson attended school at Punkin Center and Maud.
On April 2, 1946, she married Joe E. Johnson in Kingfisher.
A long time resident of Pottawatomie County, she moved to Seminole in 1988.
She was the bookkeeper for her husband’s construction company and for Larry Crow Electric. She was also a homemaker.
Johnson was a member of the First Assembly of God.
Her grandchildren were a focal point in her life. She also enjoyed shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Juanita VanAntwerp.
Johnson is survived by her husband, Joe E. Johnson of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy "Corky" and Sherry Johnson of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbi and Jim Kinnamon of Shawnee; grandchildren, Brent and Lesa Johnson, Eric and Beth Johnson, Kraig Sexton, Lori Rinehardt and Devon Barnhardt; great grandchildren, Zachary, Emma and Justin; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Lena Mae Johnson
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Lena Mae Johnson are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville.
Revs. Dan Factor and Ed Bear are set to officiate.
Burial will follow the service at Johnson Family Cemetery, southeast of Wewoka.
Johnson died at Valley View Hospital in Ada on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the age of 76.
She was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Lennox to Jolum Noah and Joanna Williams Noah.
A member of the Choctaw Nation, she was raised in the Kiamchi Mountains close to Whitesboro.
She moved to Bennington and attended Wheelock Academy.
Johnson graduated from Sequoyah High School.
She married Jimmy Johnson, Sr. in Wewoka and the couple came to Wewoka and spent many years.
Johnson moved to Holdenville and was a resident for the last nine years.
She sewed and spent time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include five children, Brenda Johnson of Sasakwa, Peggy Rodriguez, Jimmy Johnson, Jr. of Holdenville, Floyd Johnson of Holdenville and Loretta Johnson of Wewoka.
Also surviving her is one sister, Christine Noah Collins of Oklahoma City; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Michael Johnson, Jorum Johnson, Bryant Johnson, Echoille Johnson, Jimmy Johnson III, and Jacob Johnson.
Shirley Johnson
Funeral services for Holdenville resident Shirley Jean (Calvert) Johnson are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka.
Rev. Larry Chesser is to officiate with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Johnson, 59, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1946 in Wewoka to A.D. Calvert and Gladys (Johnson) Calvert.
She attended school in Wewoka and has been a Holdenville resident for one year.
In December 2004 she married Dale Johnson in Holdenville.
She worked as a Certified Nurse Aid for Heritage Village and she attended the Gleaners Pentecostal Holiness Church of Wewoka.
Her parents, one brother Tommy Calvert, one sister Phyllis Vance and nephew Larry Calvert preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of the home; three sons, Ricky Harris of Ada, Johnny Harris of Wewoka and Michael Pierce of Holdenville; one daughter, Tammy Roy of Wewoka; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition, three brothers, Lloyd Scroggins, David Calvert and Jimmie Calvert and three sisters, Marsha Sawyer, Evelyn Calvert and JoAnn Calvert survive her.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Calvert, Gary Calvert, Larry Scroggins, Jimbo Calvert, Brandon Johnson and Tommy Sawyer.
Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren.
Zackary Johnson
Funeral services for Zackary Johnson of Shawnee are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at First Indian Baptist Church of Shawnee.
A wake service is scheduled for Sunday evening beginning at 9 p.m. at First Indian Baptist Church for family and friends.
Johnson died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at home. He was born Aug. 30, 2005 at Unity Health Center in Shawnee to Joseph Johnson and Sara Wise.
His grandmothers, Mandy Wise and Terry Johnson preceded him in death.
Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Isaiah Wise and James Johnson of Shawnee; grandparents, Marsha Bear, Curtis Johnson and Gerald Wise, all of Shawnee and great-grandparents, Lewis Wise of Seminole and Rachel Bear of Shawnee.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.
