Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident Joel T. Parsons are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday with Karen Smith to officiate at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The services will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Parsons, 79, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Seminole Estates. He was born Sept. 21, 1925 at Dardnell, Ark. to Joseph Simon Parsons and Lois (Sims) Parsons.
He married C. Jean Cornelison on Aug. 26, 1960 and was the owner/operator of Seminole Machine Company before retiring in 1977.
Parsons was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
His parents, one brother Eulon Parsons and one son Keith Lewis Parson preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife and son, Gale Parsons, both of Seminole; daughter Carol Ann Lange of Pierce, Idaho; two brothers, Corky Parsons of Chickasha and Charles Parsons of Neosho, Mo.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Timothy Patrick
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident Timothy Alfred Patrick are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roy Robertson to officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Patrick, 45, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 in Flemington, Penn. He was born July 27, 1960 in Seminole to Alfred Edward Patrick and Nancy Virginia Hines.
He was a truck driver for Kean Trucking Company.
His father, Alfred Patrick and grandmother, Stella Hines preceded him in death.
Surviving is his mother, Nancy Patrick of Seminole; brother, Keith Patrick of Yukon and two sisters, Stella Ilbery and Nancy Pratt, both of Seminole.
Leona Patterson
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 1 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud with Rev. Gary Wilburn officiating.
A visitation and rosary will be held Thursday at 7 p.m., where the family will receive friends at Swearingen Funeral Home, Father Basil Keenan will officiate.
Leona Aleen Patterson, 97, was born Oct. 30, 1907 in Maud to Thomas Hewitt and Bertha May (Brooks) York, she passed away, March 27, 2005 in Mabank, Texas.
She was a member of the Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was married to James Addis Patterson for 60 years, prior to his death in 1987.
A daughter, Reba Lodell Patterson, also preceded her in death in 1935 and a grandson, Glenn Patterson, in 1990.
Survivors include her children, Syrena Pauline "Jackie" Shoffit and husband, A.W. of Mabank, Texas, Delbert Dennis "D.D." Patterson and wife, Molly, of Seminole and Eunice Avon Pflug and husband Richard of Mabank, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Maxine Patty
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Maxine Patty are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Middle Creek Baptist Church #2 in Holdenville.
Wake services will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka. Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate the services.
Interment is to follow at Middle Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Patty, 71, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in Unity Health Center Shawnee. She was born Nov. 5, 1933 to Samuel and Alice (Harjo) Cotcha.
She attended New Lima Schools and worked at A.T.T. as an A.T.T. Checker. Patty was a member of Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church, Oklahoma City Pow-Wow Club and the A.T.T. Pioneer Employee Club.
Her parents and one son, Freeman Patty Jr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons, Amos Patty Jr. of Yukon, LaMont Patty of Shawnee, Ronnie Patty of Oklahoma City, Andrew Patty of Dallas, Texas, DeAngelo Patty of Shawnee and 1st. Sgt. Darryl K. Swift of Ft. Hood, Kan.; daughters Bernadine Ewoldt of Midwest City, Donna Patty of Shawnee and Ardena O’Neal of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Patty died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Unity Healt Center in Shawnee. She was 71.

She attended school at New Lima.

Hood, Kan., currently serving in Iraq; three daughters, Bernadine Ewoldt of Midwest City, Donna Patty of Shawnee and Ardena O’Neal of Shawnee; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Laurie Walchusky Paul
Funeral services are pending for Seminole County resident Laurie Lynn (Walchusky) Paul who was taken unexpectedly along with her son, Brandon Thompson, March 3, 2005.
She was born June 21, 1961 in Utica, N.Y. to Peter D. and Jeanne Reynolds Walchusky. Laurie was raised in Utica, N.Y. and entered the United States Army in 1980.
She later went on to college in Oklahoma receiving her degree in accounting.
Her parents, grandparents, two aunts and two uncles preceded her in death.
Surviving her is her husband, Andy Paul of the home; beloved children, daughter, Megan Thompson, sons, Gary Alan Jr. and Christopher Thompson; grandson Blake Thompson of Norman; sister Phyllis and her husband Martin Reilly of Fresno, Calif.; brothers, Peter and his wife Patricia Walchusky of Utica, N.Y. and John and his wife Marilyn Walchusky of New York Mills, N.Y. and George and his wife Valerie Walchusky of Utica, N.Y. and James Walchusky, Oneida, N.Y.; aunts and uncles George and Barbara Reynolds, Waterville, N.Y., Thomas and Sharon Cavanaugh of Melbourne Beach, Fla., Jackie and Lyle Vallier, Riverside, Mo. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Zekeah Atyia Pease
The family of former Seminole resident Zekeah Pease will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Restland Funeral Home.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2005 at Prestonwood Baptist Church Chapel, 6801 W. Park, Plano, Texas 75093.
Interment will be Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
Born March 20, 1940 in Seminole, she went to be with her Lord and Savior, June 6, 2005 in Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by parents, Shaheen and Nell Atyia; sister, Betty Atyia; brothers, Johnny Brown and Hammet Atyia.
Surviving is her husband, Dale Pease of Dallas; son, Sean Pease and wife Tammy of Richardson; grandchildren, Shelby and Chance Pease; sisters, Shirlene Pratka, Norma Murray and JoAnn Howell, all of Prague.; brothers, Haney Atyia of Midland, Texas, Fried Atyia and Doug Atyia both of Seminole; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives; and a dear friend, Judy Hailey.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Zekeah Pease Memorial Fund at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
Funds are to be used in support of the Music Ministry she loved so much, and the establishment of a Cancer Support Ministry.
Jean Pederson
Funeral services for Seminole County resident Jean Pederson are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cromwell First Baptist Church.
The services will be officiated by Rev. Kenneth Romines and assisted by Rev. Carl Whitfield.
Interment is to follow services at Little Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Okemah.
Pederson, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 in Okemah. She was born March 13, 1927 in Cromwell to Otis Lee Boatman and Lydia Alice Marie Godby.
She married Larry James Pederson on April 3, 1944 in Cordell and was a housewife who loved to fish and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cromwell.
Pederson had attended school in Butner and Centennial, and has been a resident of the county area since 1957.
Surviving is her husband Larry James Pederson of Seminole; son, Roy Pederson of Seminole; daughter, Tanya Wood of Broken Arrow; two brothers, Bob Boatman of Castle and Ted Boatman of Mustang and two sisters, Elsie Chapman of Scroggins, Tenn. and Lila Edith Crook of Moore.
In addition, she has four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren who survive her.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Paul Milner II, Larry Milner, Michael Wood, Paul Milner Jr., Kevin Crook and Allen Boatman.
Carl Walter Peercy
Carl Walter Peercy passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2005, at the age of 92.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Tecumseh.
Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Rev. Mike Raines is set to officiate the service.
Services will be under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Carl Walter Peercy was born to William Bart and Maud Ellen "Upchurch" Peercy in Oliver Springs, Tenn. on Jan. 18, 1913.
He lived in Kentucky until the age of 13 and then his family moved to Oklahoma.
He worked most of this life in oilfield construction and retired from the department of transportation in the road maintenance department.
Carl is proceeded in death by his parents William and Maud Peercy, his brother Earnest A. Peercy, Larnce J. Peercy, Haral Peercy, Billy G. Peercy, Willard Peercy, Tack Peercy, Jack Peercy, and one sister Rema Grimes.
Survivors include his wife Mildred of Tecumseh; one son Mack and his wife Karen Peercy of Tecumseh; three grandchildren Michael and wife Tori Peercy, Dara Dillman and Marty Peercy; and eight great grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Smith of Yukon and Jo Myers of Okemah and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
